Why is ASBAR and TDKSA so good? They're probably the best comics of the 21st Century, nothing stands up to them. Frank hasn't lost his touch.

...

ASBAR was fun because it didn't take itself seriously. It was just wild and crazy lunacy; I saw it as DC's answer to Nextwave, but people seemed unwilling or unable to approach it that way. I howled with laughter reading ASBAR over and over again and I couldn't believe how obtuse people were that they were unwilling or unable to get the joke.

What are you retarded?

>he thinks ASBAR and TDKSA are bad

They were easily on par with BvS

>he thinks people can't see through his bait
The wording was too obvious.

People just don't get TDKSA.
If you get it at face value isn't that great but if you understand all the jabs, double meaning and meta commentary about comicbooks that are in there is quite an amazing work.

So, amazing?

HE 'S GOING ALL OUT

Because Batman is boring as hell and seeing someone get it so, so wrong is more interesting than seeing someone get it right.

But Frank's Batman is the DEFINITIVE Batman, he always gets him right.

>I saw it as DC's answer to Nextwave, but people seemed unwilling or unable to approach it that way
most don't see that way because people need to be told what is what so Ellis made it super obvious that is was comedy while Miller didn't give a flying fuck about what his reader thought and did what he felt like and that my friend is balls… bravo Miller

Yeah, they're probably the only good superhero comics out there.

...

>Morrison
>Implying he's written that matches the high caliber of Frank's
Please.

I never want to get off Miller's wild batride.

Lord have mercy

Its a great comedy

>Believing it was SUPPOSED to be a comedy
The only people I can see believing this are people who havent actually read it.

TDKSA has some great moments.

>Death of [spoilers]Captain Marvel[/spoilers]
>When Batman convinces Superman to fight back.
>Batman putting himself in harm's way to make sure his endgame plan goes through.
>Everything with The Atom
>Old Green Arrow

ASBAR, likewise has some truly great moments.

>Batman thinking to himself that "recruiting" Dick at age 12 is nuts and that he'd rather wait until Dick was 15-17 years of age, but his parents get murdered so he feels he had to do it now.
>The "haha I love being the Goddamn Batman" scene, because this is a Bruce that revels in being Batman instead of always brooding.
>After Dick wants to kill Green Lantern and Bruce, realizing how bad he's fucking Dick up, takes him to the grave of his parents to finally let Dick grieve the loss of his parents.

Next time when using spoilers, pal, use ctrl+s

How would they get that idea unless someone else read it that way and told them that was the case. Memes have to come from somewhere

The ending of asbar is legit great

oops, my bad.

>better than cerebus.jpg
You made me kek, OP.

Cerebus is shit bro.

I think it's one of the best B&R moments of all time. Not even kidding.

i thought it doesn't end? like lee still has two issues left to draw? i remember one of the final scenes being gordon deciding to sort his shit out

DKSA works great as a Silver Age Justice League story set in the DKR universe.

I think they decided to re-title what's left of it "Dark Knight, Boy Wonder". Both Miller and Lee have confirmed they're working on it, which means we might just have the first issue by 2021 or so. Then Miller will probably die.

Oh, he'll die much sooner than that.

I think he was talking about the end of #9
The normal trade ends with that since #10 is kinda the odd issue out

Don't forget Bruce being a manchild and Dick blowing him him the fuck out and generally being freaked out by him in his thoughts

As a Dick fan I just can't like TSKSA.

Then you're a pleb, simply put. But that's okay though.

I can like it if I ignore that one part

At least Miller made him more sympathetic in ASBAR and made the whole thing Bruce's fault

Just one thing I reacted to with TDKR and TDSKA. In TDKR, Bruce says he hadn't spoken to Dick in 7 years, it was 10 years since his retirement at that point. That meant Dick and Bruce stayed in contact AFTER Bruce retired as Batman.

But by TDKSA, which is 2 years after TDKR, well, you know what has happened to Dick.

go back to CBR you tone-deaf simpleton

>not wanting 5 pages of Bruce calling Dick a faggot
Get a load of this guy.

TDSKA was good but ASBAR was just too much "I was just pretending to be retarded" for me to handle; however it does explain why Dick is a psycho later on TDKSA,

>MOMMY, DADDY THANK YOU FOR THESE HULK HANDS THIS CHRISTMAS

>I'm done talking.
>Get out of my cave.
This made me laugh than it should have.

And TDKSA and ASBAR is better?

They're funnier

No they aren't, but you already know it, right?

If it's bait, then why do so many people agree?

Because this board is full of trolls, contrarians, and Millerfags

Because it's not bait

People mostly hate ASBAR because NOT MUH BATMAN

Like there's a reason why Batman all that stuff, elseworld reason aside, and he did feel guilty and later change his mind, but people ignore it because "Batman wouldn't do it in the first place!!"

>trolls, contrarians, and Millerfags
That's an odd way of spelling "realists".

...

I ignore it because its not a good story in the first place

But it is though, you're just being a pleb.

Yes.

DKSA is bonkers and grotesque and wonderful

If the coloring weren't shit I'd probably enjoy the art more since it fits the story.

This is the most accurate description of TDSKA I've seen.
