What exactly qualifies a "good" reboot? Why do show like Teen Titans Go! and Powerpuff Girls 2016 get such a bad reputation?
What exactly qualifies a "good" reboot...
A good reboot is Mystery Inc
It's not really hard to figure out
Look it up on Google instead of asking a bunch of fucking retards who think Batman V Superman was good.
OG Teen Titans is like "we are very ashamed of you" meanwhile the GO! Titans are like "pfft whatever kids love us" and fart in their faces.
Comparing Teen Titans to TTGo is like comparing Batman: TAS to Batman BatB. They're different beasts altogether.
Mystery inc. Is the the perfect reboot. You have to take a property that is more than 4 generations old and give a different interpretation. Also see looney toons show
TMNT has been rebooted plenty of times. So, would TMNT 1987 be the Ninja Turtles equivalent of Go? I mean, they are both goofy cartoons based on a "serious" comic source.
Honestly, this.
Though it's worth pointing out plenty of people did hate BatB. That just wasn't the consensus on Sup Forums. I loved it personally.
I guess Thundercats 2011 had the same "feel" of the 80s series, but It just didn't catch on.
Best girl
Eh, I don't know if GO can redefine the Titans the same way that that TMNT show did for the turtles. The source for TMNT isn't as well known. And really, even the first TT cartoon was a lot more lighthearted than the comics.
Is PPG 2016 even popular? I mean, it seems like the creators are trying to stay modern and use whatever's trendy.
>Why do show like Teen Titans Go! and Powerpuff Girls 2016 get such a bad reputation?
Because they're lazy, soulless cash-in on a previous shows existing popularity? Look, if you want a reboot to be liked, them it has to be actually good, simple as that. Good animation, good writing, respect for what it's rebooting in the first place are all key here. Make a good show first, a reboot second.
I don't recall Lion-o getting shit on violently every episode of the 80s series.
It didn't catch on because TC11 had godawful writing. It had a good start, but it quickly devolved into "Let's jerk off Tyra also Lion-O is satan: The Show". It had potential to be the next avatar had they had better writers on it.
When it comes to what's not (nuPPGs demographic)
Most of the internet's vocal opinion is negative, 90% that's seen it doesn't like it period.
I don't know about the target audience (kids), but I guess that some do.
Its ratings aren't very impressive. Last night's premierefest had it being in the bottom half.
>Steven Universe - 1,693,000
>Regular Show - 1,402,000
>Adventure Time - 1,381,000
>Teen Titans Go! - 1,356,000
>Powerpuff Girls - 1,174,000
>Gumball - 1,136,000
>Clarence - 1,086,000
It's certainly not horrible, but considering it's new and they've been promoting it out the butt, those are some pretty weak numbers.
I really need explain why the new PPG get so hate
...
The last episode of adventure time was promote so bad
nuPPG is such a low effort blatant cash grab. The animation is garbage and the voice acting is abysmal for the girls themselves. There is nothing redeeming about the new series.
Didn't they fire the writers of the first two episodes and hire some autistic Tigrafag to run the show?
I remember hearing about some kind of bullshit that went down for that series.
I feel you're baiting but,
Except BatB didn't use TAS' exact character designs and voice actors.
