this is what people outside of /who/ think

>Pertwee was his favourite
p l e b d e s u

>he hasn't even seen capaldi

So are we gonna have fucking blind OP's until 12 restores his sight because this is just awful

>So are we gonna have fucking blind OP's until 12 restores his sight
yes

>So are we gonna have fucking blind OP's until 12 restores his sight because this is just awful
Doctor Who is always good when it has real world consequences

I'M

INTEGRATE

Okay very funny, which of you kikes actually voted for TGWD?

I hope they use the glasses as a type of seeing aid. he cant be asking for guidance in everything he does.

But the real-world consequences of Doctor Who are usually worse than blindness, they're things like:

>paying for RTD's cocaine addiction
>helping change the Tory agenda from "reform the BBC" to "destroy the BBC"
>perpetuating the incest in the Moff(e/a)t(t) clan
>giving Ian Levine an audience of people who will listen to him
>giving both SJWs and Sup Forumstards a chance to play count-the-dark-people-and-reeee-about-it
>preventing thousands of nerds from growing up and moving out of mum's basement

So we can agree that Capaldi is the best nu-Who Doctor only held back by mediocre writers right?

even though I'm really liking this season.

Too poor for Amazon Prime, and every other site wants me to give them my email and phone number
How can I catch up on past seasons?

>mediocre writers
nice meemee
I thought the writing was worse in the Smith era

I don't think it's actually his best episode but I felt it was worth a protest vote against the cunts who hate it

They wrote 13 a lot like they wrote for Smith for the longest time. once they got rid of Clara they got better.

>13
huh?

Capaldi's doctor is number 13.

I assume you meant Matt Smith when you wrote smith era.

How's 13's adventures going? Is she any good?

>Capaldi's doctor is number 13.
gr8 b8 m8

>Capaldi's doctor is number 13.
He's the twelfth doctor, or the 14th incarnation.Not 13

>14th incarnation
Well
can we really count handy as a different incarnation from 10?

wasn't the whole point with Matt smith is that he needed new regens because he was really 12 becasue of John Hurts doctor?

so that would make Capaldi 13.

If you want the whole "I need a new cycle of regenerations from the Time Lords or I die forever" story from S7 to make any sense at all, then yes, you count post-handy 10 as the 12th incarnation and 11 as the 13th incarnation.

If you don't care about that, then you can make up any numbers you want. Count half the Morbius Doctors but not the other half, skip Colin Baker, and call Tennant and Smith the same Doctor, who cares, right?

I guess you have a point. It just seems kind of arbitrary to me to include john hurt but not tennant-2.0

>They wrote 13 a lot like they wrote for Smith for the longest time. once they got rid of Clara they got better.
god what a stupid fucking remark FUCK OFF
we are literally 2 christmas specials and less than half a series into post-Clala
the idea that there has been a bigger change of how Capaldi is written in this tiny gap than the REALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS one they WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO EMPHASISE AS SOON AS CAPALDI FUCKING STARTED is self-evidently ridiculous you MORONIC SHITEBAG JUST GO

>wasn't the whole point with Matt smith is that he needed new regens because he was really 12 becasue of John Hurts doctor?
The whole point was Matt Smith needed new regens because he was really 13. Because of Hurt and tentoo

The Doctor explains this all in detail:

>DOCTOR: Have you been paying attention? I'm an old man now.
>CLARA: But you don't die. You change. You pop right back up with a new face.
>DOCTOR: No, not for ever. I can change twelve times. Thirteen versions of me. Thirteen silly Doctors.
>CLARA: Okay, so you're number eleven, so
>DOCTOR: Ha. Are we forgetting Captain Grumpy, eh? I didn't call myself the Doctor during the Time War, but it was still a regeneration.
>CLARA: Okay, so you're number twelve.
>DOCTOR: Well, number ten once regenerated and kept the same face. I had vanity issues at the time. Twelve regenerations, Clara. I can't ever do it again. This is where I end up. This face, this version of me. We saw this planet in the future, remember? All those graves, one of them mine.

If you don't trust the Doctor, count them yourself:

1. Hartnell->Troughton
2. Troughton->Pertwee
3. Pertwee->Tom
4. Tom->Davison
5. Davison->Colin
6. Colin->McCoy
7. McCoy->McGann
8. McGann->Hurt
9. Hurt->Eccleston
10. Eccleston->Tennant
11. Tennant->Tennant
12. Tennant->Smith

12 regenerations, no more left. But if you leave out Tennant->Tennant, it's only 11, so the whole plot wouldn't happen.

ah I see, thanks.

thanks as well.

Whoa it's like 2014 all over again

youtube.com/watch?v=LyDgbBRoGPI
Do you think capaldi and pearl ever sing on set?

I wont argue with you, I'll just say I disagree with you.

this season has been better than the last. and its in part ,IMO, that Capaldi's doctor is being written as a teacher instead of an old "bf" thats awkward with Clara. and we dont have a companion thats trying to be the doctor herself..

...

>this season has been better than the last

>Capaldi's doctor is being written as an old "bf" thats awkward with Clara
what the fuck show were you watching? There was never any romantic tension between 12 and clara

He doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. He probably stopped watching the show in 2010 and is only repeating bits and pieces of what he hears.

Well, there kind of is—it's just that it's resolved in their very first episode together, so only retards like user still have any reason to worry about it two years later.

>implying

...

capaldi's groin is practically pure black here, how can you claim to see his dick?

>hugs are inherently romantic
what a horrible life you must live where you aren't comfortable hugging your friends

>capaldi's groin is practically pure black here
Capaldi's dick has a very high level of Hide in Shadows, so it can get 3x when striking from behind.

I would definitely hug Capaldi if he were my friend.

Or even just if he didn't have a restraining order on me.

You had enough, Adam

Fuck you Matt, you're just jealous.

>and we dont have a companion thats trying to be the doctor herself.

what about this? and also with Clara generally being annoying as fuck with the "don't be condescending crap" and then the you have to save my robot boyfriend?

>Haven't watched Doctor Who for years
>I'm bored, guess I'll watch the latest episode
>Wow this is really good, liking the horror and thriller aspect even if some of the characters are a little TOO kooky
>"It's capitalism in space" "We're fighting the suits!"
>mfw

It's going to get good next week I promise

Clara becoming more like the doctor was a major arc that ultimately lead to her 'death'. We all know this. What's your point with this one?

I'd love to have seen him with the material Christopher Ecclestone got. Capaldi in Dalek would have made me cum in my pants

>I can't enjoy anything if I disagree with one element of it
Wew lad

>A show challenged my political dogma! Better never watch it again or I might have to think!

>Also better make sure to use a clip of Penn Jillette, who argues that capitalism is inherently anti-free-market, to show everyone how pro-capitalism I am!

lol triggered

>What's your point with this one?

that the writing was mediocre and the series is better now that we have a new companion. that was the original point.

then this guy sperged outit was pretty funny 2bh

yeah, aside from that love interest/bad wolf thing.

What about the Baker to Baker regeneration

You mean the time he was a bit senile and revisited the same old face he'd just revisited last time? Yeah, that still counts as the 317th regeneration.

>Clara generally being annoying as fuck
Yeah. Clara was the fucking worst
>"And don't you dare lump me in with the rest of all the little humans that you think are so tiny and silly and predictable."
Reminder that Clara literally thought she was better than every other human being ever.

No the one where Tom Baker regenerated into Colin Baker, known affectionately by the fans as the Baker to Baker regeneration

Well, he delayed that regeneration for a few years to make sure he had time to get rid of Adric and Tegan, so it counts as two regenerations.

>Not liking series 5, the true patricians series
>Not thinking Matt balanced old, distant alien with dark serious/quirky guy wonderfully
>Thinking Moffat is repetitive

Moffat is many things, but repetitive isn't one of them.

S9 is the patrician series, S5 is the meme option

Dailymotion and VK are good sources.

>He doesn't like Pertwee
Shit taste desu.

>Moffat is many things, but repetitive isn't one of them.
KEK

moffat has a tiny pool of tropes which he revisits for literally every story he writes

I suppose if you love watching Clara Who, but I'm talking about Doctor Who. Two very different shows.

He's also insistent that he keeps using the same monsters over and over without any idea of what makes them so effective the first time, so each time they're less interesting and effective.

I too am sick of seeing Atraxi, Prisoner Zero, Skovox Blitzers, the Veil, the Shoal, whatever species Hydroflax is, Vashta Nerada, gasmask zombies, space whales, clockwork robots, headless monks, flying sharks, the Mire, dream crabs, evil snowmen, etc. every single week. Why does he keep bringing back these same monsters over and over again?

>using the same monsters
are you sure you're not thinking of RTD?

Yeah but that's a Doctor Who tradition.

You're right. Terry Nation should have stopped after The Daleks.

I'M

STILL

...

Hey hey hey wake up /who/
We're on season and this shit is in page 7?

I'VE HAD A *WHOLE YEAR* TO *INTEGRATE* WITH ITS *MATRICES*

Don't worry about night /who/. We like to savor the lack of trip drama and shitposting. Hell, yesterday was a few idiots arguing over portal physics. At least we're on topic.

What's /who/ with you? I'm currently reading City At World's End. I feel like it's building up too many mysteries and that the conclusion will be horribly underwhelming.

Not him but I'm currently halfway through Storm Warning. It's my first ever venture into a Doctor Who audio and I'm surprised by how much I enjoy it.
The whole concept that is. I mean, I wasn't going in with the thought that audio dramas are fucking rubbish and this is going to be dumb but I didn't think I was going to enjoy them this much. I'm excited about how much more Doctor Who content I've got to enjoy

Ah, I felt the same way when I started audios. My first was The Sirens of Time. Admittedly, I had a hard time keeping up at first, but after I few I wasn't having any trouble. What made you decide on Storm Warning? Becuase it's the first Eight drama?

Anyone else completely love Oxygen and think the capitalism shit was well handled until the end where he went "and that's the end of capitalism"?

It completely removed how powerful the message could be, instead of how greed and corruption could allow big corporations to completely lose their humanity, it was just "capitalism's bad yo, this is clearly the path humanity is taking under capitalism".

It's especially weird when you consider that under communism the same shit could happen with everyone receiving the same amount of oxygen, and a corrupt tyrant in the higher place of power removing them out of the equation.

The message should be that the little people are always the ones that get screwed when power is corrupted, not just, "x is bad".

BUT WHY DID I EXPECT ANYTHING ELSE FROM A FUCKING CHILDREN'S SHOW?

I guess there's some solace in the "and then humanity moved to another mistake" thing, but fuck it

I'VE HAD A WHOLE YEAR TO TUNE MYSELF INTO THE PSYCHIC NETWORK

AND
I N T E G R A T E
WITH ITS
M A T R I C E S

It's because leftists control the media, friendo. Of course, if the Right-wingers did then it'd be the opposite. But at least that story would be accurate.

>Anyone else completely love Oxygen and think the capitalism shit was well handled until the end where he went "and that's the end of capitalism"?
yes desu

>It's especially weird when you consider that under communism the same shit could happen
Gosh, it's almost as if there might be some alternative systems besides neoliberal capitalism or state communism.

Maybe some form of social democracy that's in between the two? Or maybe some form of anti-capitalist free-market anarchism? Or ideas nobody's invented yet by 2017?

No, no, that's just not possible. The only two choices there have ever been, or will ever be, are absolute corporate oppression or absolute state socialist oppression. We might as well not even have politics.

Yeah I do, and even that end bit I just went "oh, well that's dumb" and decided to ignore it.

That's because you can think critically. Most people wouldn't even be having the conversation we are; they'd just nod their heads while dribbling all over their shirt and saying "yeah b0ss capitalism is shit". They agree with the narrative without ever considering it.

No, people who can think critically don't believe capitalism and communism are the only ideas anyone's ever had. The only people who think that are Marxists.

What the fuck is this?

bigfinish.com/releases/v/the-tenth-doctor-adventures-volume-02-limited-edition-1658

Yeah pretty much. I'd heard it floated around a few times as a good place to start, and 8 was a Doctor I'd always been interested in but I'd seen/read/heard little of so it seemed like a good place to start.

Nevermind that, it's not canon. Tenth
Doctor, I mean.

I think most people go through the same thing when they first discover audios.

When Big Finish started, I assumed the audios were going to be fun but pointless trad stuff like the MA/PDA novels, so I didn't pick one up until Storm Warning. And after enjoying that one, someone convinced me to go back and try Shadow of the Scourge and Holy Terror. After that, I went back and bought everything I could afford.
