Neck yourself

tradie checking in, self employed real estate broker who made € 100.000+ last year. Questions?

Finish high school tradies

go back to misc you piece of trash

I have never had a problem with a reputable tradesman, especially electricians.

I do have a problem finding good mechanics, and have the damdest time finding somebody to mount and balance tires correctly.

>Finish high school tradies

You have to special ed or someone unsure of themselves to be this stupid

I'm studying in university. Trades have their value. To pretend like they're inferior is seriously special ed

welding is an art

chemical engineer here

i love tradies tho

>my work, processing engineer II $86k at a plastic plant
>everything automated so my job is kinda cozy for now
>shit happens, one side of the product not heating properly
>tradies come in and tries to fix it but fail
>brings me up to date and i test out several areas in the labs to see if we can work around the heating issues
>order a couple new parts and have tradies install it, run more tests and sampling for statistics
>back to normal plant operation and being cozy

...

>damdest time finding somebody to mount and balance tires correctly.

How? You mount the tire to a spinning machine thats tells you where to put the weight and how heavy it has to be

Jesus fucking Christ,
take it off
TAKE IT OFF
END IT NOW

lmao sure it is buddy and waxing the floors is a form of poetry

How do you charge your Tesla without an electrician to wire power to the charger?

>taking a picture instead of shutting it the fuck down

Wanna wait till the insulation catches fire?

tradies in canada are very well paid
im spending 4 years in nursing school while tradies are getting paid to learn and will likely make the same amount in 4 years as me anyway

I-is that a red hot bolt with to much juice?

>tradies think they know how to insure meeting environmental codes
>have to assfuck them all the time as an environmental scientist

"Your plumber friend fucked up in not giving you the filter you need or just putting you onto city tap. Your water has been poisoning you for years because you had some faggot put in a pump. This soil has high mercury and lead because it was a waste dump in the 40s."

I want to be a plumber. Where do I get started?

learn polish

go to lowes or homedepot

buy a new efficient quiet and powerful sink food grinder

change your old one out and replace.. should be a fun 1-4hr easy project and home improvement

>Being a nerd

Some idiot thought he was smart by cutting a cables diameter until it fit the wiring terminal.

Kinda defeats the purpose of a large cable.

No way an electrician did this.

>leaf
>doesn't know how to properly weld
How fucking shocking.

you do realize that literally every single CEO who has been with a company from the start is a tradie, right?

>inb4 picking exceptions

Friendly reminder that electricians are the masterprofession of the building sites.

Painters, carpenters, floor layers and plumbers á shit.

how indeed. the past 3 times I have had tires mounted.
1 time one of the tires leaked, both front tires did not get balanced.
2 time. one tire leak.. so so job on balancing.
3 time mounted the wrong fucking tires.
That was 3 different places

I have to get new tires now.. going to give costco a try, see if they have their shit together.

.... Wow. Just wow.
Yeah, electric fun times isn't my forte but I know that is a straight fucking no.

Here, check this. This was my old office's power set up. I had smelt burning electronics and plastic...

Turned out that extension cable had 4+ desks with computers (and all their monitors/desks/a few heaters, etc) drawing on the line. Plugged into a fucking multibox.

>going to 'specialty' school to become a laborer
>work as a laborer
>laborer

On your shitty toyota maybe

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotating_unbalance#Dynamic_unbalance

dios mio

You only made €100?

>heaters

Yeah dont do that.

I once had this old warehouse some company had rented to do some furniture buisiness.

They complained that a curcuit breaker always tripped.

Well no shit. It was supposed to be the circuit for the lights but those geniouses had put all their heaters into the plugs they found in the ceiling.

I found about 10 multi-plugs melted into little balls up there.

>Tell electrician to make sure to screw the socket in place
>"Yeah sure ofcourse!" :D
>Doesn't
>Socket falls out

this kind of hackery happens all the time. At my old work, we had an entire row of eight cubes running off of one 15A circuit via an orange extension cord. Everyone had laptops, but still - bad move.

Also had all the phones and internet running off of powerline ethernet via the same cable. People were constantly wondering why their internet was slow and why phone calls would drop. Idiots.

I offered to fix it but the big boss didn't want to spend the money. Thank god I quit, I can't stand working for idiots.

>be me
>have masters degree
>decide to learn welding
>learn welding in a week
>weld stuff now
>don't be my cousin
>high school was hard for cousin
>cousin goes to community college
>welding
>ohShit.jpg
>titlecard: two years later
>cousin asks me to TIG weld his bike for him
>lol.bmp

Europeans and their more inbred descendants flipflop the period and comma because they are dumb, ignore them

no you

What's wrong with trade?

I've been self employed [electrician/electrics sales] since 2008, and have been earning over £90,000 per annual since 2014.

I highly recommend it as there's no limit. It's business. I have a couple of young guys working for me too. Things improve.

There's nothing wrong with trade work, just trade culture in my opinion. Separate the concept from the culture and it's a great way to enjoy your day and make money.

>tradie where I work always bitches at engineers about inane shit
>Is perpetually angry despite being oh so proud of his blue collar shit job and fat wife
>Leaving work the other day see him struggling to get his shitty old van to start.
>Go home, fuck my gf, drink a beer and play vidya.
Feels white collar man

Electrician here, go fuck yourself, your the reason this country if full of numale's, faggoty ass desk jockies like you that never got a date in high school

How could you hate them? They're ridiculously important to society. Regardless of how little brains you might need to do it all, we literally can't live without what they do.

Master Plumber Exam

1) Which way does shit flow?
2) What day is payday?

If you answered:

1) Downhill
2) Friday

Congrats! You're now a Master Plumber!

There's nothing wrong with trade.

White Van Man wankers who fuck you about for 11 weeks before they come and half-ass a job can go hang themselves.

In response to myself: See

>trade culture

kek what is that exactly?

I don't know. If you were talking chef/arts culture, I'd understand.

But I do dislike lazy tradesmen desu, if that's where you're coming from? But they only fuck shit up themselves, business wise .

>Ph.D. in molecular biology
>self-employed carpenters/painters/electricians easily make more than me (especially when they forget to pay taxes)
>in contrast to me, they don't have to constantly read literature/write grant applications/worry about the current projects in their spare time
>instead they drink beer, party with chicks and snort coke
I sure showed them, didn't I?

What the fuck are you babbling about?

what the fuck is that, he looks like a fucking turtle or something

Fuck this thread I'm out

HVAC guy here, shittalking tradesmen gets you the darkie pricing.

I hate electricians and plumbers because they always put their shit where the ductwork needs to be. Fucking annoying.

>votes for a nationalist party

At this point, literally every Canadian needs to be lined up and shot

I know multiple HVAC millionaires. Trades can be lucrative if you build a business out of it.

The hate is against the dipshit meathead attitude that a lot of tradesmen have. I work at a university now and holy fuck, the electricians and HVAC guys we have on staff are some of the least competent people I've ever encountered. Everything is a band aid on top of 50 other band aids. Nothing gets fixed.

If you're competent and work hard, however, you've got my respect.

i got one of these to plug my computer

>Those fucking muzzies are ruining our great british culture.
>Spends 99% of his freetime getting drunk and having fights at football matches.

Public university? Cause the dudes who work for the schools almost never cut it anywhere else.

congratulations brazil, you have a power supply from an audio amplifier.

I swear you apes are all retarded.

> power conditioner
> audio amplifier

tradie here. Make 45k a year doing pest control part time

AMA

If you're working in academia instead of selling your soul to a biotech company and then climbing the ladder to a director position, it's your own fault.

How is Ch.E? I'm going into it here soon.

Trades are real man work, pays well, and makes the world go around. These 'engineers' wouldn't be able to design cute cars without electricity and a working toilet to sit down to pee in.
Leave it the fuck alone.

>paying tens of thousands of dollars for a degree from a marxist indoctrination center
>is unemployed
>shitposts on Sup Forums to fell better about his decision

Does mom let you have the whole basement to yourself or are the laundry machines down there?

>implying that's not an over exaggeration normal British behaviour

This is why feminism will never win big here. We're to inbred, fucked up and chavvy to to be turned into introverted nu males, like what most of Northern Europe has become.

Hm. Can one of you fine gents give me a job? I don't think I'd like to be a bartender forever

R E M I N D E R

...

jobs okay depends on what field you're in

big pharma
food
chemicals
petro
investment banking
medical
military

i've only had experiences in oil&gas doing 2 summer internships with the same company working on fluid testing and o-rings for aircrafts and drills

one research job as a student with our pharmacy school's grad students in drug design and testing for blood clots (was basically a lab tech preparing the solutions and running it through analyzing machines)

my current job is just at a plastic plant, pretty boring stuff here but i have a shit load of free time and my cost of living in this rural area is so low i don't mind. although i don't see it as a permanent thing

>sit down
>to pee

I though only women did that

Wow a whole 100 frankfurters?

Try to keep up, my white friend. He was making fun of engineers.

If you love jesus Then you will give sauce to me.

kk. My current chem prof. is a Ch.E. who worked at Mobil One for a while. Super hilarious dude.
Have no idea if this is true or not, but he told us how he almost got fired the first day there.

>gets into lab for the first time.
>gets lab gear on.
>mixes dry ice and water in an Erlenmeyer flask.
>goes into reception and sits down.
>receptionist gets worried. "What is that?"
>"Just hydroxylic acid"
>drinks it.
>receptionist falls flat and is unconscious from the shock.
>"I learned who my lab manager was real quick".

Any advice for a undergrad?

>tfw still a student
>still making $20 an hour working at a library reading all day

>tfw self employed illustrator
>make between 0 and $600 a week

Works for me.

Flooring Installer checking in to rant. I install Resiliant flooring like VCT, Flash Cove Vynil, and Carpet Tile.

I have a burning hate for drywallers. They are mostly spics who can't speak a lick of english, and make a mess the whole way they ho, leaving droplets of drywall on the ground and not address then no matter the size. I can say that it is easy 3 out of 10 jobs I work with a drywaller that they tend to be clean. Remember whenever you see any mexican drywallers, ALWAYS say their work is Spic-Tacular.

Best way to fuck them up? Attack the corner beads. Use a 3 pound hammer and fuck it up post final coat of paint. I did that once on a job since they walked over my VCT glue, a small 10x6 closet that was closed and taped off.

How to work with a flooring installer? A good section of us are rather calm and WILL work with you. Be aware of the cunt Ceramic installers who have the "all about me" disposition. They are assholes and deserve no respect.

>be lift engineer
>deskies get mad when i turn their lifts off
>fat shits have to use the stairs because lifts are 'broken'
>mfw i flip the stop switch and take the lift up, meet them on the top of the flight of stairs they just climbed

D E V I L I S H

> (especially when they forget to pay taxes)

Lol, this is true. installed just over $50k in residential furnaces and ACs. All cash. Never claimed a dime on my taxes.

feels good man, been doing that for 8 years now on top of my union commercial job

get ripped and have condoms ready at all times

chemical engineering is the only engineering with girls.. actual hot white girls (basically the smart girls who didn't want to take chemistry or biology like every other "pre-med" wannabes, but went into fucking chemical engineering as their "pre-med" route)

any other advice i can give you is just repetitive hurrr do well in school

Neighbour's house burns down. Investigation showed that there was a paperclip inserted where a fuse should go. Electrician was supposed to replace a fuse a week before, pretended to go to store to buy fuse, but went to casino for four (billed) hours, put a paperclip in and called it a day. Billed $400 plus parts.

Already working on the weight loss and getting into shape.
I've got a year before I transfer, so that will be plenty of time to build up.

Thank you, user.

Here all the drywallers are crackheads. The job im on we've had a drywaller stab another one over 5$ for the food truck.

A year of noob gains isn't much.

Hop on dat dere.

So with out trades how would you even have electricity , a home to live in, central air , and running water... Canada never fails with its stupidity

>start as a concreters laborer
>end up being a brick layers laborer
>end up being a brick layer

Feels good man, when i started being a concreter i was a skinnyfat piece of trash, now I'm fucking jacked and have been getting stoned everyday for work the lat 5 years.

Working on-site is excellent, you office jockeys dont know what youre missing out on.
>boo-hoo hard labour
it hurts for the first 6 months or so, I dont get sore from work any more.

Same poster, probably differnet ID.

They are not that bad, roofers are the main junkies here. Most thue do is drink on site, but that is normal for all trades. I won't even try to drink on the job. First one always tastes like more

+1 to dry wallers being crackheads, same here in aus, painters are too, but painters are usually a bit more relaxed, just fucked up from all the fumes.

Painters are the lowest of the low. Illiterate bellends.

Painters, only tools they need are a radio and a paintbrush. It is the Retail version of Trades, just a deadend job.

Trades are fine. Stop being divisive.

Describe trade culture. I'm curious

Take it to a reputable shop you cheap sack of shit..you get what you pay for cheapskate. Use Google you lazy fat fuck

you do it yourself because you don't need one of these retards.

>that image
>The triggering
Oh god, what sick lazy bastard did that? How many amps?

Schools don't usually have actual HVAC pros, they use maintenance guys who happen to have their 608. There's also the fact that any competent AC guy won't work for less than 70k a year while schools pay their IT guy like 36k.

I really don't know where the meathead attitude comes from, we're just mostly conservative and come from all types of backgrounds. I'll call you a pussy if you don't install but really install is straight up for tough mother fuckers and only tough mother fuckers so there is some level of arrogance there.

If you can piss you can paint.

Also, try and find a family run independent shop and stick with them if they are good. Will save you thousands of dollars over time and they take pride in their work.

>Painters, floor layers and plumbers a shit
Agreed
Carpenters are mastertier too though. Unless literally all they know is how to saw planks into the right length. But proper carpenter tier that can also make sweet-ass wooden furniture and stuff is just great.
