Lemme tell you about how fucked I am.

I'm married and have 2 kids.
I have 2 more years till I graduate University.
Have a job making decent money, $13/hr.
My wife has a job making about $13/hr as well.

We can't afford daycare because it's $800 a kid per month. That's more than our rent costs.

So one of us has to stay home with the kids and in that case, we can no longer afford rent.
Tried to get help from the government for childcare and according to them, we make too much money. We also make too much money for foodstamps.

We are just trying to make it by until we have our degrees, but we can't even fucking take advantage of the programs meant for people in situations like this because we make to much money for help and too little money to take care of ourselves.

What the fuck is wrong with this country? The middle class is always screwed over. We are out of options and will probably have to downgrade to a 1 bedroom in the ghetto, where our children are going to have to grow up around criminals and share a bedroom with us.

The main thing I'm complaining about is that government aid programs only help people who are too fucking lazy to get a job making more than minimum wage.

Public community colleges have to accept GEDs, as long as you pass their entrance exams. From there, you can transfer your 2-year degree to any public or private university. That's what I did. I dropped out of high school myself, and I'm starting grad school this fall.

Maybe look into apprenticeships for plumbing or construction? I have a friend that got into an apprenticeship for plumbing then moved into sales in the same field. He makes pretty good money and doesn't have to touch pipes anymore.

The best solution is for your wife to study childcare, and for the state to take the children due to negligence, while she studies, once she graduates, make two more.

13/hr is what you get in jobs that aren't gonna require any meaningful experience. Its wages made for part time students. Trades pay higher, especially skilled trades. Technician jobs pay higher. Hell, Behavioural Interventionist jobs, which don't really have requirements, pay higher.

But in all seriousness, I pay $1300 a month for daycare for my son. That's for 4 days a week.

My wife makes $38/hr and I make $2,000 a week salary.

I've spoken to people who get subsidized daycare and pay $70 a week.

I was frustrated at first. My solution? Work harder and make more money. Fuck it. I get up some mornings at 2am and drive an hour to work to meet with my night staff then stay until 4pm.

Fuck it. I have houses in two states, and ocean views from my bed. I grew up on welfare and getting evicted. I've been homeless. Let them have their social programs.

$13/hr doesnt sound too bad. 120 hours per week times 2 equals $3120. I am pretty sure you can get help from the governemnt somehow. Sometimes its better if you two work the at a 7$/hr job 20hr@week, and get a lot of gubement mony. But honestly $3100 sounds pretty comfy. $900for housing, $400 for food, $500 for health plan, $800 for taking care of your child. You still have $500 left. But honestly, I am pretty sure you can have an easier life living off thr governemnt. White Americans are pretty stupid for not taking advantage of that.
