Spectacular Spider-Man vol.2 #14

A handicapped guy relaxing on a roof gets menaced by Morlun and Spider-Man swings in to save him. They have a little heart-to-heart. It's sappy but I love it.

>Favorite Villain?

I guess Doc Ock.

"The Wall"? "The Big Wheel"? Fucking seriously?
>Favorite Suit
Spidey-Armor is really cheesy, and I love it.
>Least Favorite Suit
As much as I enjoy having all the little gadgets and bonuses, the Iron Spider suit doesn't look all that great in comparison to other suits.
>Favorite Film
Easily Spider-Man 2, although I thought Amazing Spider-Man 2 was decent.

Neversoft's 'Spider-Man' for the PS1.

The shocker

Read "Flowers for Rhino" or his story in the Gauntlet by Joe Kelly. Besides that, bank robbing supervillains are fun.

>Favorite Spidey Story
Death of Jean Dewolff

>Favorite Villain
Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley)

Can I say nearly everything from Silver to Bronze Age? Seriously it's amazing how nearly 30 years of Spidey's run was damn fucking good with no real bad parts. And than 90's hit him hard. Funny I really should hate Maximum Carnage since it's almost as 90's as you can get but it's a damn fun run.

For Villain: Venom when he's being all yandere.

>Favorite story.
I guess that'd be a Death in the Family, because that's the story that got me into comics.

>Favorite villain.
Spidey has a buch of fantastic villains and it's a shame they don't get used more.
It's a tie between Stornin' Norman and Venom.
When I was a kid those two gave me nightmares every time I watched the cartoon.

100% with you, user

can't tell if bait

>Spidey has a buch of fantastic villains and it's a shame they don't get used more.
Spider-Man just goes Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock, One-off nowadays. Silver Age stories are so fun to read partially because there's so much fucking variety even with the reoccuring villains.

>Kraven's Last Hunt
Never read this, is really that good? Can someone story time it?

This thread makes me realize I know less about Spider-man than I thought.

I started reading from 2000, mostly Ultimate and JSM stories. I enjoyed Superior Spider-Man and some other modern stories like 24 / 7, The Gauntlet.

I know 80's Spider-man was the shit, what are some essential arcs?

if you read anything from earlier, you'd know why Superior and everything after OMD is OOC dogshit cancer of the highest order

>Favorite Spidey story
>Favorite Villain?

This entire arc

Favorite story? Too many to coun, but I have fond memories of the first Sandman story, the drug story, and the Harry Osborn saga from the 1990s.
Favourite villain? Harry Goblin, Toomes Vulture, Electro, and pre-2000s Chamelion

>One More Day

Die in a fire Joey Q

It would be faster for you to google some recs than for me to type out on my ps4

Superior
Venom

Superior is worse than OMD. And cancer. Also non-canon

fug
forgot this
youtube.com/watch?v=0Ac4xamCIgY
Literally had it playing in my mind when picrelated happened

Use it for something that matters, like when Peter beats up Mephisto and restores the real timeline, not this OOC non-canon cancer

>favourite story
Probably the hobgoblin saga
>favourite villain
Lizard

>muh old shit
stay salty, old man

The birthday story is beautiful

it's pretty divisive
personally, I liked it
unfortunately I can't storytime it for you

>Use it for something that matters, like when Peter beats up Mephisto and restores the real timeline, not this OOC non-canon cancer

Man i live those kinda poetic moments gerry conway put in that arc, my favourite is what spidey says after he dies

maybe I'm just a diehard spidey fan who'd eat up whatever, but there are good stories post OMD

Superior Spider-man is GOAT

Cancer of all time
Also non-canon.

Shocker, Kraven, Vulture, Mysterio, Lizard, Sandman, Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, and also most of the crime bosses started with Spidey.

Hell Spidey might have more well known villains than any other hero. Just some don't get shown off as much as others.

aren't you tired of this shitposting?

>le it's not canon if I don't like it meme

I loved what zeb wells wrote, nothing else aside from that, venom, superior foes and scarlet spider are their own series so i don't count them

>Also non-canon.
Fuck off, Peterfag

Whats up f@m
You called

>Favorite Spidey story
I loved Kraven's Last Hunt and Torment.
Also the Death of Gwen Stacy is a favorite of mine.
>Favorite Villain?
The Sinister Six.
All of them.
Fuck it, I can't have a single favorite.
Maybe the Symbiotes.

>I know 80's Spider-man was the shit, what are some essential arcs?
Fuck no 80's was fucking great.
>Nothing can stop the Juggernaut
>The Death of Jean DeWolff
>Kraven's Last Hunt
90's was where everything went wrong. With Clone Saga being one of the most annoying piece of shit.

Personally read anything from his start to the start of the 90's. There really isn't a bad story in that whole time. Some more interesting than others but not one was honestly bad.

What? The Iron Spider isn't impressive in design, it's just red and gold. The extra arms are cool, though.

Miguel , Noir, and Reilly for me.

This costume having only 3 robot arms eternally irks me.

noir is peter

I miss ben, he was the only good part about the clone saga, that and the doc ock arc

I mean, that's what I meant, but I do suppose the clarification is necessary.

Only other one I have is this.

Most fun I had reading a Spider-man comic.

Riley was too pure for this world user.

>Favourite Story
Kraven's Last Hunt

Venom is overrated as hell.

>Favorite Story
Kraven's Last Hunt/Hobgoblin 1st Arc/Death of Jean DeWolff (three way tie)

Hobgoblin (his introduction and the initial mystery surrounding his identity was awesome)

>fave villain

I couldn't actually pick just one, there's a lot of them.

>Villain
The Green Goblin

>Fave Story
The Death of Jean DeWolff and Spider-Man:Blue

>Fave villain
Peter's life.

>That part where GG is bitching that Peter broke his glider after he murdered Gwen

I love bit moments like that that show just how much of a piece of garbage the villain is.

jean dewolf was decent. a little 80s cheese in there but still a good read

Norman was absolutely right, though.
The glider probably cost more than Goblinfucker Stacy could earn in a month.

It's actually a fairly personal reason why he's my favorite. I was 8 when Spider-Man 2 came out, and my parents got me the movie tie-in PC game. The second mission is when Rhino breaks out of jail & you have to fight him, and for some reason I was absolutely terrified to fight him. I wouldn't even get near him, instead just swinging around the rest of the city looking for another option. For years I never got past that part of the game, and so Rhino always stuck with me as the most fearsome villain.

Here's a Spider-Man drawing I did today. Like it?

I really fucking hate how Clone Saga brought him back. It was such a great ending to the whole thing. Made you really hate him and get what was coming to him.

Great fucking taste user! That issue was specifically the first time I ever read a Spider-man comic.

>Favorite Spidey story

Morlun's debut don't quite remember the issue but it was on JMS run.

>Favorite Villain?

Prolly Doc Ock.

Nice

>Favorite Spidey story
Fuuuuuck this is hard, like really fucking hard man, but I'm going to have to say Gauntlet, the bits with Rhino just dug into my heart, and during the whole time Peter's life changed so much from what we are used to.
>Favorite Spidey Villain
This is even worse, I want to say Carnage because I've liked him as a rogue ever since I was little, but honestly? I'm going to have to go with Lizard, Mysterio runs a close second though

>Favorite Spidey story
Fuck....I....don't know?
I guess my favorite long-running arc was the crazy four-armed Spidey arc, but my favorite single story is "Nothing Can Stop The Juggernaught".
>Favorite Villain?
Kraven the Hunter.
I always loved the "bad guy with a sense of chivalry" thing he had going on after the 70's hit, how he wanted to beat Peter fair and square.

Also, Spider-Man: Reign was great, really fucking depressing, but still great.

Radioactive cum

Yep, and as silly as that is it was still fucking glorious when you find out MJ has been dead the whole time and Peter has just been talking to himself

There's a few nice bits like that but I never could take Reign seriously. It tries so hard to be dark and edgy but ends up just being a joke to me. DKR it is not.

it's cool, I like the simplistic style

Thanks. Here's the black suit.

Feel free to give some suggestions.

Can you do the MCU suit?

>than than
oopsie

I guess this is a good place to ask this. I wanna get in to The Amazing Spider-Man comics; my question is what is the best place to start? Should I read all 700+ comics or is there a better place to pick it up at?

Ultimate.
