_________ is the show we all need right now guise

What is this even from?

Why is this a general? Twin Peaks doesn't deserve a general, it's better than that.

when does the first episode of the new season air?

so Ive watched all of the show, but I havent seen FWWM yet

will it be integral to S3, or am I fucked

You will be fucked after watching it.

I cringed at this scene when I first saw it, some of the worst editing I've ever seen.
The extended version is much better.

I KNOW COOP

Excited to see how Bobby and Shelly ended up

>tfw paid £7 to watch it live and stream it for my friends
no ragrets

I'm 2 episodes into s1....

When does it get creepy / surreal / interesting?

Pretty boring so far, famalamalamalamalama

just drop it

Just watched S2E10

Be real with me. Do Aliens have an involvement with Twin Peaks?

No, it's a red herring

For fucks sake you have all day today and tomorrow to watch one movie.

I think aliens were mentioned in the book that was released this year or the previous one, but it's the lodge.

the aliens in the book were also red herrings, it pulled the same trick as the show

Do the books give more lore and are they worth the bother?

FWWM adds things to the mythology that will factor into the new show.

And it also gives us the front row for her agonies.

Secret History is fun if you like seeing real-world conspiracy theories woven into the history of Twin Peaks. It has some weird retconning of certain character backstories and plotlines which with the way Mark Frost has been coy about in interviews seems to suggest that there's something more going on that won't be clear until we see the new series.

The book is a little overlong and the middle drags, but the first and last third make it worthwhile to me.

The older books:

Secret Diary is more of a mood piece that develops the backstory of Laura Palmer. Mostly notable for influencing Sheryl Lee's performance in FWWM. She just recorded an audiobook reading of it.

Autobiography of Dale Cooper is the most fun of the supplemental books, and gives you some insight into plothooks that would have been used if the show had continued in the 90s. These will likely be abandoned now. Both have continuity discrepancies.

Lynch said it was important but he may have been shilling

From the trailers we know the fat trout trailer park and Carl Rodd are in it.

From the Secret History, we know the ring will be important.

And we know that David Bowie was supposed to film for it when he died so the Jeffries plotline was going to be involved.

>David Duchovny
Holy shit, imagine the butthurt if a character like that never showed up until the new season

Oh, sounds interesting. Will give it a read soon enough, thanks!
