How would you innovate on the Alien formula?

How would you innovate on the Alien formula?

Impressive post

Add predators

Weyland-Yutani are the good guys.

Terminators bro....

I'd make the alien into weed and smoke it.

more ailen

kill the franchise and do something original for a change

Well, one idea would be to show their actual homework, and explain how the fuck something like these things evolved and what kind of ecosystem they lived in...

...but then Covenant happened.

Give them culture and star an interstellar war over earth's planetary resources.

make the "alien" an unseen character
have like a colony on a planet thats been there a little while
focus on a couple and their relationship problems
the person one of them is cheating with dissapears one day while on walkabout
make it look like the jealous one did it
more people state going missing or are found dead
toss in some jump scares
oh yeah, one of the couple is schizo
they are the only one that glimps the monster
in the end the scared lover runs away from the one thats been seeing the monster
it ends with them alone with the alien lurking in the shadows coming for them

I was going to say this was stupid, but actually if done PERFECTY it would probably be pretty good. Perhaps more then one hint of the monster.

Alternate premise is the same thing, but set in the past, like the Middle ages or early america, where you aren't sure what the monster is, and then fuck, you realize its a stray egg that landed on earth.

2 movies was enough.

Hear this: An alien movie set on an Engineer's Dyson Sphere full of genetic abominations.

Retcon Covenant as a bad dream Shaw has in stasis and expand on the Engineers and life presented in Prometheus, the superior film.

I'd just make a live action version of Alien Isolation and amp up the horror aspect

What would need to be amped up? Seems like theres more then enough horror between the androids and the alien

.At a certain point, size just becomes funny. They could spend lifetimes walking and never explore a more then a fraction of something this size

Why not take it to its inevitable conclusion? Aliens reach earth. And little by little they consume humanity in its entirety wiping us out. Story takes place near the end of the process, but there's a catch there's so much genetic overlap from using humans for their breeding that the aliens start to change and develop beyond being wild beasts. Story is narrated by an unknown female about the drama and anguish of humanity, offering a platform to critique whatever the director wants -greed lets say-, only to be revealed at the end to a "civilized" alien queen. You can even use that to tie it in to suggest humans are such a terrible creature that it's only natural they are the next stage of humanity, if you buy into the whole covenant thing.

the aliens fly a space ship to earth and kill everyone on the planet and then find a time machine and travel back 500 million years and kill all the dinosaurs so none of them can evolve into monkeys and then men and there are no more alien movies because the time traveling aliens negate any prequels too

a pit full of facehuggers
engineers invade earth
domesticated xenomorphs
android living in a xenomorph hive
xenomorph dragon
deep sea alien
alien sharks
planet hugger
xenomorph android
face hugger hugs a xenomorph

Xenomorphs actually weaponized and used by human factions to fight each other.
In space.

Make a movie out of that comic where the aliens are clever enough to treat humans as livestock, instead of just killing them all until they run out of people.

That's literally what Covenant was about you fucking faggot.

there was a comic of vikings vs xenomorph

check it out

...

Don't go away from the whole retraded "DUDE THEY'RE BEES LMAO" and make them perfect humans again.

some scientists in Antarctica find a derelict spaceship that has been buried in ice for 100,000 years, they bring back the corpse of an alien and it reanimates but it can take the shape of anything it attacks and eats
then there is intrigue over which members of the scientific outpost are alien lifeforms or not

oh shit nigga

Covenant shows that they did not evolve, but where engineered, meaning that their aren't interesting environmental pressures that produced them, just some serious sexual frustrations on behalf of a gay robot (which, in retrospect, does explain some things)

BATMAN VS ALIENS!
SUPERMAN VS ALIENS (aliens have kyrptonite for blood)!

the whole movie is shot from the pov of the xenomorph

This

They did POV shots for the Alien in Covenant

Looked stupid

Okay.

Do more stuff with the black goo instead of xenos. I want to see all the different effects of the goop on different organisms

>1 movie was enough
Ftfy

A teenage girl dressed in geek-chic attire gets a text from an unknown number telling her about a mysterious app for her Apple iPhone 7 Plus, an app titled: ALIEN
She downlaods it, but the app seems to do nothing, so she tells her African American boyfriend that it is an epic fail, and she deletes it.
As she sleeps that night, her phone begins shaking and letting out small bursts of electricity. She awakes that morning and finds to her horror that all her selfies on all her social media accounts have been edited to show a blurry facehugger covering her face. She quickly deletes the photos, unnerved.
She meets up at Chipotle with her non-gender-binary hacktivist friend, who tells her that zhe can't see anything wrong with her phone, but user zer skills to reset it to factory settings just in case.
All seems well for awhile, until she notices that the ALIEN app has redownloaded itself on her phone. She's horrified, but she shakily taps the app. Her phone screen splinters and makes her bleed. She drops it and remarks out loud that it seems to be drinking her blood through its headphone port, but then whispers with realized horror that the Apple iPhone 7 Plus took the brave and admirable step in eliminating the headphone port. That hole is new!
The phone finishes drinking in the blood and begins to transform. The protagonist watches in terror as it takes the form of a small xenomorph, with the touchscreen being in place of the typical shiny black headplate. The screen-head displays a Thinking-Face emoji as it takes in its surroundings. Once it spots the main character, a skull emoji flashes, followed by the Rage Face meme, and the xenomorph lunges at the her. Gunshot, cut to black.

This xenomorph, dubbed the eNomorph later in this film by the hacktivist, is the true first of their species, with the main character's blood being the genetic template all of the aliens use in the future films. And that main character's name? Shoshana Ridely, the ancestor of Ellen Ridley.

theres a mining outpost and theres a big problem with some synthetic drug that the miners have been taking and getting addicted to and freaking out on and dying

a new tough sheriff is assigned to the outpost and he cleans up all the drugs and takes out the boss of the miners who was facilitating the drug smuggling

Some kind of near future post-apocalyptic story line where aliens have completely infested a familiar earth and bands of human survivors are fighting to take it back

the eNomomorph stage 1 parasites spread through the internet by making up facebook profiles that people friend unbeknownst that its really eNomorphs that spread through the internet

>instead of turning Engineers into weird shit it just turns them into black poop
What a waste

Alien gets time-travel'ed into today's earth

>Shoshana Ridely, the ancestor of Ellen Ridley.
well done.

theres a spaceship owned by wayland yutani out in space and they get a distress signal
they land on a strange planet and someone in the crew gets infected by a xenomorph
they fly back into outer space and the xenomorph starts killing the crew
they have an android (he has an english accent) that is supposed to be something that helps them fly in space but he's really bad and helps the xenomorph kill most of the crew
the last surviving member of the crew blasts the alien out of the airlock at the end into outerspace

That's a pretty good idea, probably even better at connecting with modern teen audiences than the mysterious text idea. Texting is so passé, not for the win at all. Facebook is quite lit, still!

Why are people so obsessed with formulas and franchises? Why not let a movie released forty years ago stand on its own, appreciate it for what it is, and move on to new ideas?

Make a movie showing the entire life of Peter Weyland: The Father of the 21st and 22n centuries. The man that allowed humanity to reach the stars.

Reminder: Never touch a series after Cameron walks away from it.

Sharknado-Alien crossover "Alienado"

A Chinese-run ship from another company.

Stir fried alien in motoroil. mm-mm.

you would wind up feeling sorry for the xenomorphs

An Indian ship.

Cult people worshipping aliens and sending people to sacrifice themselves willingly.

Tifa was ruined for me when a very overweight autistic girl with macromastia and stringy dark hair dressed up like her for halloween.
She was very kind and inoffensive but I hear her mumbling every time I see these pictures and my stomach turns.

...

>Yuntani finally gets a sample and brings it to earth.
>Does experiment where they try to make a host survive an alien birth
>Successful
>Human and Alien form a telepathic bond due to alien sharing DNA from it's host
>They break free and the Human and Alien become run away Bros
>Learn to work together and survive
>Yuntani send try to kill them off
>They end up only escaping their reach at the end.
Sequel is a Super Hero movie using the duos link together to fight crime and shit
Come on you guys totally want a Xenobro

Make it less about Xenos and more about the human characters.

ailen get ipad

If we have to I would expand on the idea that Earth is a wasteland

Somehow a cache of eggs lands on Earth and infects some raiders and xenomorphs run amok in the ruins of the old world

Basically Mad Max with Xenomorphs

Agreed.

>massive alien attack on earth
>face huggers everywhere looking for victims
>xenomorphs fighting with colonial marines
>turns out this was all some zany plot by Weyland Yutani

guys what about a male lead?

>what is Weyland-Yutani

Not in Trump's Amer... oh wait...

>so about the bonus situation...

...

alien fuck blond hair woman sensually on internet

>xenomorph dragon

not this, but a xenomorph queen with insectoid wings like a giant dragonfly

someone give this guy a million dollars

This is a nice premise. Unseen monster. No one is due why people are missing. People assume other people.

I read that comic. The giant Gator alien was stupid.

No worse than alien 3s attempt.

You don't
The idea that you could "innovate" a film franchise while also shoving in all the superfluous shit that connects it to an established franchise instead of just making an original movie is fundamentally flawed

>ancestor of

WE WUZ

David experiments on 2000 colonists. He's able to advence xenos to a form never seen before. They look more erotic now, similar to Giger art and start developint their own culture.

Someone tell Ridley about this.

NEW THREAD'S UP LET'S GO

This. This was ACs Downfall. I did not care about these characters.

Everyone was memeing Danny McFucking Bride but he was the most likeable and real character. Even Daniel's rang hollow. She was giving the dead girlfriend motivation like comic book hero's get.

I care about the crew of the nostromo I even care about the Marines from the sluco.

Example of worthless characters. When the fags boyfriend dies from the face burster he embraces him as a lost partner but NO WHERE in the movie are they shown as a couple. It makes the scene of him crying over his dead cock holster fucking meaningless and contrived.

Y'all niggas make me smile

>ridley tries to make new movies about alien with original ideas
But muh original Alien!!!!! Do the same shit!!!!!!! Me no like new shit!!!!!!!

Imagine they burst out of your boipusy lol wow

a lil something i found

Alien: IN SPACE

ALIEN at night

Ripley and the Engineers team up to stop David 8 from getting his creation onto Earth.

However David 8 has a last ditch plan; he sends a single egg-ship through a nearby space-time wormhole and it crash lands on Earth during medieval times.

The wormhole effects facehugger DNA so they lose the ability to create Xenos with talons/tails. Instead they have stumpy-grips like lego men do.

A small farm, near to the crashed ship, gets quickly impregnated and creates the first xenos. The next part of the film is a silent B&W montage of the xenos learning how to wield primitive weapons (axes/spades/brooms), which they use to take over a nearby castle for more impregnation.

Castle generation of new xenos surpasses the previous training, with an even longer montage of their own - the noble art of swordsmanship.

The final act is battalions of sword-wielding xenos, indirectly claiming the Holy Land by wiping out all Crusaders and Islamic inhabitants, extending the hive even further.

The film ends with newest xeno queen looking up into the sky, she sees a Predator ship hovering above them and hisses "so glad you could drop by".

>TO BE CONTINUED

alien becomes a robot.
then something happens.
and do doo de doo doo

you forgot sandwich xenomorph

By killing the franchise and coming up with an original idea instead.

oh there'll be criticism, better not do fucking anything then.

Anyone has read the graphic novels knows exactly what they should do.

>sequel to alien: resurrection
>ripley on earth finds out that weyland-utani has bred an army of human-alien hybrids for military application
>stronger, faster and most importantly, smarter than previous iterations
>they are controlled by cybernetic implants in the brain
>ripley and a gang of mercenaries fight through armies of NEWmorphs to reach the main control center, hoping to reprogram the NEWmorphs to self-terminate or at least cripple their forces
>end up blowing up the facility which disables the implants, leaving them still with the army of "mindless" aliens to deal with
>everyone dies but ripley
>alien pulls her close and prepares to stab her with its tail
>it leans in close
>and speaks
cut to credits and start filming sequel

not the first person to have this idea

>weaponized a bioweapon

duh

Aliens are only the rabid dogs of incomprehensible cosmic horrors which engulf galaxies.

All I can think about is that stupid scene from Jurassic World where Chris Pratt rides the motorcycle with the raptors.

Don't progress the story. Just make one that takes place in the past so the humans have to come up with ways to fight them with inferior technology. Literally the same thing they could do for Terminator or any of the big 80s horror movies.
>escape pod soars out of a wormhole and crashes into earth
>xenomorph gets out
>its the middle ages/cowboy era/ancient japan/ancient egypt/modern day africa
>peasants try to figure out way to fight back

AVP:R is exactly that and it's the worst movie in the franchise

>terrible lighting so you literally cant see shit the entire running time
>terrible acting
>terrible creature design
>terrible plot
how is that what i described at all?
