Name directors with spotless records.
Name directors with spotless records
Charles Laughton
Bump
James Cameron is almost spotless. One bad film, and it was his first.
Shane Carruth
A truly spotless record since nobody will let him make a movie
>Death Proof
>Kill Bill 2
>>kill bill 2
kys
>pre 70s garbage
Kek
David Fincher
Denis Villeneuve
Akira Kurosawa
This. Also
>inglorious bastards
...
>Dindu unchained
>spotless
>inglorious basterds
Movie was fucking terrible.
WE IN THE KILLING NAZI BUSINESS AND IT'S A BOOMIN.Literal 4th grade writing.
Inb4 stormfeontard poltard altright ect.
THANK YOU!
fuck that movie is overrated and boring
UNO
Hitchcock comes pretty close esp. considering the number of films he made.
literally his best works
David Lean????
tarantino only made 3 good movies so idk what youre talking about
fincher : only se7en and zodiac are really good
villeneuve: incendies and prisoners the only below average
kurosawa: maybe
Avatar was his first movie?
Hayao Miyazaki
tarkovsky and edward yang are the only good answers
Because Aliens and Avatar are great masterpieces
This
>Fincher
Because Fight Club didn't exist
I'd say Dial M For Murder was bad by Hitchcock's standards
>taratulla
>spotless
>what is 4 rooms
>what is kill bill vol 2
>what is django
>what is hateful 8
>what is deathproof
Far from spotless you fucking pleb
maybe wong kar wai too (yeah i know that my blueberry nights is weak but its like below average so its not BAD and may count)
anyone who didn't say Sergio Leone is a faggot
...
>you have to have only created masterpieces for you to have a spotless record
Fuck off faggot
>hateful eight 5/10
>django 4/10
>inglorious bastards 6/10
>death proof 8/10
>kill bill 2 7.5/10
>kill bill 8.5/10
>jackie brown 8.5/10
>pulp fiction 9/10
>reservoir dogs 9/10
David Cronenberg.
coen brothers are close to spotless.
the early b&w of Hitchcock have a few bad ones.
...
Zodiac is the shadow of the movie it could have been.
Like Panic Room.
nah zodiac is his best film by far
That was irony. Aliens, Avatar and Fight Club are pure shit
Granted, it's only 7 movies long, but still.
Great: Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill
Very Good: Reservoir Dogs, Basterds, Hateful8
Bad: Django
Death Proof and Kill Bill 2 are among his best films though. The bad ones are Django Unchained and Reservoir Dogs.
Unironically this desu lol
Zodiac is the best film of the 21st century so far.
Darren Aronofsky
How the FUCK is kill bill 2 bad lol
Pic related
Stanley Kubrick
John Ford
Not hyperactive enough for ADD autists.
>having this shit of opinions
Fight Club is a good movie.
Aliens and Avatar are at worst average.
spotted the underage numale
Nicolas Refn
David Lynch Inland Empire was shit but Sup Forums disagrees with me
Sergio Leone
Clint Eastwood
Kubrick
Park Chan Wook
>yeah i know that my blueberry nights is weak but its like below average so its not BAD and may count
I love Wong Kar-Wai, but it's definitely not spotless. We're probably talking about GOAT here.
Noah is shit
Drive is shitty normie bait, I like to think he just created it to bait normies into watching only god forgives
Clint hasnt made anything good in a while, sully was conplete dogshit
I'll give you Fight Club, but Fincher still did Alien 3
Aliens is 90% military memes and explotions and other 10% is screaming child and Ripley saying things no one listens to. Btw thatr ending, what was he thinking?
Avatar is preety cliché, it was a moive made for CGI and 3D because its so funny lol escpecial effects and explotions LMAO
It's not though. It's just the worst Aronofsky film, which still makes it fantastic.
>hurr durr Django and Basterds are bad movies
FUCKING KEK. They arent amazing but they arent bad. You fucks just hate them because a black guy is killing white guys in one, and in the other nazis are getting killed
nicolas refn doesnt even have ONE good movie to begin
>different opinion must be race shit
They're not horrible, they're just very much overrated and quite boring.
...
Not liking alien^3 assembly cut is the quickest way to detect a brainlet
He didn't have anything to do with Piranha 2.
>50+ posts in
>Only one (1) mention of PTA
Come the fuck on you plebs
Pleb
Basterds is fucking phenomenal. I'd even say it's his best work.
I love Django too, though I can see some arguments against it. The plot was less focused than other Tarantino films, and Kerry Washington's character isn't really expanded on at all.
If I had to pick his worst movie, it'd probably be Hateful 8. Even that one is a 6/10 for me, though, so it's not BAD.
Why don't you like Hateful 8?
His WWII film is terrible
Before Hitchcock became a celebrated filmmaker he was just a jockey for studios. He made a lot of shit.
I know a lot of Sup Forums people may not like this guy but his career is consistent.
Even over Kill Bill or Death Proof?
John Carpenter, not critically, but all his films arent really bad
why even post a pic of colonel sanders? he just made chicken, not movies. Unless he did make a movie.

Find a flaw
...
>Tarantino
Has two good movies, one popcorn flick misconstrued as a postmodern masterpiece
>James Cameron
The thinking man's Michael Bay. Aside from Terminator, all he makes are structurally weak action flicks. Haven't seen The Abyss, by the way.
>Shane Carruth
Correct.
>Fincher
Correct, not a single bad film in his repertoire
>Villeneuve
Perhaps. He hasn't yet truly challenged himself as a director, though.
>Kurosawa
Correct.
>Hitchcock
Unfortunately not. At his best he is almost untouchable by thriller standards, but his early missteps tarnish his career
>Tarkovsky
Correct.
>Kubrick
Correct.
>Refn
Correct. Others on your list have flaws.

literally kill yourself for saying this
Exactly. I Basterds is right in line with some of his better films. I think Django is pretty good as well, not his best work but it is still good.
Hateful 8 is probably his worst film. It is painfully average, so I could understand if someone listed it as a blemish. Which funnily enough hardly anyone is mentioning. I assume most of these fucks are just parroting garbage they read on this board.
Johnnie to if you just count his milkyway output
Half of that fucking list. Jesus christ
>Inglorious Bastards is better than Hateful 8
kek
>ctrl+f
>no Zack Snyder
Truly you plebs don't understand true kino.
These are the only good answers itt
Inherent vice is underrated, Magnolia is a complete masterpiece of modern cinema
Jody Hill
Na Hong-jin
Ben Wheatley
>Ben Wheatley
Nah, Down Terrance was pretty weak. Everything he's made since has been great.
nope. kiki the witch cunt and ponyo and wind rises suck
lol. have you seen his first movie? i bet you wouldnt last 10 minutes
Sidney Lumet
once upon a time in america is undeffendable
Kill Bill 2 was kino.
THIS. I could never get over how boring as shit Inglourious Basterds was.

>Denis Villeneuve
Not at all.
The most IMDB sensibility director so far. Anybody who thinks that Prisoners is above mediocre is juvenile about the medium and entirely emblematic of the video game crossposter fueled downfall of this board.
Villeneuve is one of the biggest trashmasters working today. This is hot pocket the movie. Cheeto dust: the flick.
IMDB "FILM BUFF" pleb fodder. If you like this film then you are an enemy of the medium.
>MUH BASED JAKE
>MUH BASED DEAKINS
>MUH DARK THRILLER
>MUH RELIGIOUS SYMBOLISM
All the memes are there, it's shit
Colossus of Rhodes was shit
...
Nolan Fincher Tarantino (Hateful 8 is one of his best but you will disagree)
