Great pick. I love how this film uses those very symmetrical close ups like the one on yout pic. It gives you this very surrealistic and nightmarish vibe.

This documentary is pretty depressing.
This movie made me cry
Yes at points, but the depth and reality of it are shocking and depressing in a whole realm of its own.
really hits home if you grew up in a small town
Make Way for Tomorrow has torn me up for years not just because of the ending but because I'll never have anyone love me as much as the parents love each other.
Everyone should watch this film to have a greater appreciation of the short time we get to share with our loved ones.
teared up desu
Stroszek
No other film will be more brutally honest about being poor than that.
There are a ton that have made me cry, but nothing is more bleak than Gummo IMO. It shows a scary, and real side of people. It's not lacking beauty, but the recognition of sociopathy and apathy is depressing to be. Come to think of it, that applies to all of Korine's films.
Pretty happy ending though.
watch julien donkey boy, definitely more bleak than gummo
>British kids were shown this in school
