Pizza's gunna send out... FOR YOU.

It's funny now.

Mel Brooks has never made a bad movie. Prove me wrong.

MOICHENDISING!

1...2...3...4...5

That thing is unironically fucking disgusting. I hate looking at it.

Solid movie though.

Nothing in spaceballs was funny but you get the same sort of satisfaction out of watching it as you would a youtube poop.

>yeah, and shit posted too!

There's barely anything from Monty Python that I can still go back to and enjoy.

That's a big order

Men In Tights was excrement.

if you still dont find this line funny you are a pleb and need to go back

Holy Grail is still enjoyable

You know, it would be a really good time to make Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money to poke fun at the current state of movies

That's amazing I've got the same combination on my luggage

Dumb and Dumber is one of those movies that was funny back when I was a kid and is still funny now that I'm an adult.

pizza the hutt was the only funny part in spaceballs you faggot

Dave Chappelle ruined it. Just because a movie is a comedy doesn't mean you can just add in a black guy.

He probably doesn't like spam too, what a faggot.

Pineapple Express except it was never funny

Life of Brian is literally a monument

The dick lightsabers gave me a chuckle

Even as a kid I couldn't stand Jim Carrey

I enjoy biggus dickus

Give Mel Brookes a break, he's a jew after all, so sometimes he just can't help but add a BBC into one of his movies. It's a reflex.

So does your father.

All the American Pie movies. I remember how transgressive they seemed back in the day with all their blatant sex jokes but now they come off as tame if not really pathetic.

I agree, it makes for good, comfortable mindless viewing.

its happening. google it.

90's comedies seem to hold up pretty well

Police Squad
Naked Gun
Airplane
Hot Shots 2 (1 is still great)
Top Secret
Cornetto Trilogy
Animaniacs
Simpsons

>Just because a movie is a comedy doesn't mean you can just add in a black guy.
There is a reason the sidekick in Men in Tights was black.

My fatha was a woman in tha jewwusalum gawwisons

>AND WHAT DO WE GOT ON THIS THING, A CUISINART?
>NO SIR!

>Nothing in spaceballs was funny
Literally every scene with the villains is funny, the only rocky parts of Spaceballs is with the heroes

MERCHANDISING MERCHANDISING

WATER MY ASS

BRING THIS GUY SOME PEP TO BISMOL

MOICHANDIZING

I'VE LOST THE BLEEPS, I'VE LOST THE SWEEPS, AND I'VE LOST THE CREEPS

This. "Pizza the hut" will forever be one of the top play on word parodies of all time. So simple and dumb yet somehow hilarious.

So the Skyrim Alik'r were based off Morgan Freeman?

Dracula: Dead and Loving It is absolute dogshit.

I didn't much care for History of the World. Come to think of it, I don't like many of his movies beyond Spaceballs. My mum loves them, though and I can't begrudge her for that.

Do Americans just see Monty Python and think of the silly walks sketch? Is slapstick all they're able to process?

>new Spaceballs
>John Candy dead
>Joan Rivers dead
>Rick Moranis retired
Why even bother?

I'm Australian and my favourite is the one where the university professors are singing about medieval agrarian history.

Sounds like your brain died at some point in between.

You were young.

>Nothing in spaceballs was funny

>Australian
Don't reply to me ever again.

I always wondered why it was a Transformers coloring book

Dead man on campus

the first austin powers, was too afraid to try rewatching the others

I got all the jokes but it really wasn't ha-ha funny to me. It was just stupid plays on words and general retardation. It's like watching those videos of Sam Hyde where he's pestering his mom.

lol this is really embarrassing

This.

Demetri Martin desu lad

Did you just assume my nationality?

at least mel brooks is still aging into a dollar bill

its not entirely fair going back.
id assume most jokes lose their impact after the first time.

The order I just placed with Domino's lists a pizza, soda, and breadsticks but only one of any topping.

I agree with you but calling that dude "shitbreak" is still funny to me. Excellent bullying.

A lot of loyalty for a hired pizza delivery boy!

>skyrim

>Nothing in spaceballs was funny

that was a lot less funny than i remember

Nearly all of MST3K

And Ive seen 90% of it.

lol he said shit!

He didn't want to nail my head to the floor.

I had to insist.

That entire fucking movie

The Simpsons
Even the classic years

Elder Scrolls Redguard are based on Moors, so yes, they were based on Morgan Freeman in Robin Hood.

The pacing, presentation, and delivery of the joke is hilarious, you faggot.

south park
family guy
chappelle show

You guys do realize this scene is ripping on George Lucas right? Way back then, Mel Brooks was trying to warn the world that George Lucas was a bigger jew than actual jews.

>We're here! We're queer! And we don't want anymore bears!

I watched this so many times as a kid I ruined the VHS. I put it on again a couple years ago and it was unbearably not funny. Couldn't even finish it.

I have literally never seen a good Mel Brooks movie.

>Naked Gun
cmon man naked gun is fucking goat

It's funny because there's a place called Pizza Hut and his real name is Jabba the Hutt

>Simpsons
agreed

blazing saddles

The alien in the life of Brian made me laugh like I was mad

Spaceballs is shit.

You gotta love the thing you're parodying. Blazing Saddles worked because Brooks loved studio Westerns. Young Frankenstein worked because Brooks loved Universal horror. Airplane worked because the Zukers & Abraham loved disaster movies. Naked Gun worked because the Zuckers & Abraham loved straight cop shows. Spaceballs doesn't work because Brooks doesn't give a shit about Star Wars. He just tapped into the hottest pop culture sensation of the time and scanned it a few times for cheap jokes. Pizza the Hutt is a cheap joke. Barf the half dog is a cheap joke. Colonel Sanders is a cheap joke. No nuance, no deconstruction of the core of the genre, just cheap surface level jokes.

The funniest damn part of that movie was when the assassin went up into the castle to kill Robin from a high vantage point and behind him on the wall you see a sign that says "Ye Olde Scrolle Depositorie, Floor VI"

MY BRAINS ARE GOING INTO MY FEET

It should've been good. It had no reason to not be, but it just was.

Thank you for this A+ post

Any time. I've thought really hard about this shit since I was 11 years old and I realized Spaceballs just wasn't as funny as Blazing Saddles and began probing why.

Because Star Wars is not a complicated story
