I could qualify myself as a big David Lynch fan but I won't, because it means nothing without a good argument. You can align yourself with this idea of Lynch going against the grain and showing the normies who is boss or whatever but if you can't legitimize your reason for why it was successful as an attack against the mainstream then you're likely just trying to claim a feeling of superiority for yourself. I have seen no solid argument from this lynched crowd as to why they should feel proud for it being good. Most of you are trolling.
This was Lynch attempting to preserve the original vibe while taking it in a massive new direction and it failed. Utterly failed. He exhausted the mystique of the original and ruined the mystery of the Red Room by declaring what it was for Cooper. The Red Room became too comfortable. The characters and the plot became too contrived and revealed. The mystery is gone. He spent it. He tried but blemished an otherwise good series.

And most of the ones that have appeared have had a single scene tops apart from those in the Sheriff's department. I'm just curious how Lynch is going to weave them together with this new heavily Coop-centric storyline. I'm more fascinated by it than any potential plot thread featuring other characters, but still, it's worth thinking about.

When did David Lynch turn into Neil Breen?
Some of the imagery in this new series evokes the same sense of awe as old Lynch but a bunch of it falls through. I've cringed at a lot of the surrealist shit he tried to do in the Black Lodge because it felt so forced and choppy at times. Never felt that way during any other Lynch film.

The lack of music makes everything feel extremely awkward, which I get is completely intentional but I miss the comfiness of the old seasons. I also really miss the film, this series is the ultimate proof that digital is fucking shit compared to film.
