What Hardy particularly excels at is character acting. Every single role he's done has had a unique voice. It's impressive. He's definitely on the way to becoming another Gary Oldman.

Venom has always struggled to get great writing and story arcs, but he was simply my favorite concept and antihero. I have enjoyed several of Hardy's performances too, so this is inarguably good news for the character. Particularly after that nightmare now famously pictured in every textbook reference to how the third in any trilogy flops. I feel really good about this.
