Dracula Untold was supposed to be the move that starts the Universal Monsters Universe, but since it did so bad, now that movie is Tom Cruise's The Mummy and Dracula Untold never happened.

They would need to go all out on that though and it would be expensive as hell to make. Seems like too much of a gamble.
The Mummy is now the start of the monster universe. Dracula, the Wolfman, and Frankenstein have been thrown in the trash.

You also forgot to mention Webb's Spiderman that was meant to set up a cinematic universe but Sony canned ASM3 and its Sinister Six sequel.
