>talking shit about the original's "comfiness"
That was and always will be the appeal of the show. The music, the interaction between the characters, the set designs - lodge shit is just interludes to spook you up a bit and keep things tense.

Lorefaggotry might be one of the worst symptoms of the videogame thinking that's been slowly taking over both creators and viewers.

>That was and laws will be the appeal of the show
Season 3 is more of a sequel to FWWM, which was much better than the show.

Best scene so far:

How does she do it, lads?

Tracey 2bh lads

Ray Wise looks younger now. Very impressive.

You faggots are a bunch of blind followers of Lynch who won't accept that "Twin Peaks: The Return" is a total disaster. This is the final proof that rebooting old series is a really *really* bad idea, since not even Lynch can do it right.

TPTR is not Twin Peaks: it's a bland, sad, and pathetic attempt of self-celebration in the form of an artificial continuation of an unfinished old work. So old that you, the creator, can't even remember correctly. Ironically, at a metalanguage level, the topics of this reboot perfectly reflect what reboots per se are: concretely, a doppelganger, product of a creative void. It's not Cooper who is lost here, it's David Lynch himself. Maybe this is his unconscientious talking...

I will tell you one thing, Sup Forums: after watching the first episode I was actually deceived for a moment, as I thought it was going to be great; maybe it was going to be more in the direction of FWWM, but I was OK with that. But then, after episode two I started to realize what was really going on here. At episode three, I started to cry and almost turned off my TV, as I finally understood what was happening here: it was the dead of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.

Fuck me, it's amazing how well this scene emulated the original show. I would love it if they have a few of these moments spread throughout the show, not to pander but just remind us these are those same people from before.

I hope Bobby plays an important role in this season, cause I love the guy.

I think we should continue this discussion that bad coop is a parody of the usual gritty violent meme character popular in the current television climate. It's an interesting thought.

Did you see episode 4? It's slowly easing back into more familiar Twin Peaks territory.

Eraserhead or Inland Empire

Which one should I watch first to enhance my season 3 kino enjoyment?

Will we be getting an QT traps this season. Dennise is looking a bit worn out.

>mfw when it turns out that James is the most important character

Who is on the other side of that door? Why does this person (?) want to come in, and why wont Josie let them?

Will David Bowie show up?

He strikes me as a satire of a typical Quentin Tarantino "badass" character.

>Lorefaggotry might be one of the worst symptoms of the videogame thinking that's been slowly taking over both creators and viewers.

I agree but I dont think David is dumb enough to give to much away or go too far in building this universe. He will keep the primary purpose of the red room as a space to get cuhrazee

both at the same time

Eraserhead - Lost Highway - Inland Empire.

In that order.

Yeah he fucking nailed that bit

His reaction was my reaction to seeing there is new Twin Peaks

Hello there. Do you have any criticisms of Twin Peaks season 3?

Every """flaw""" of the show is actually intentional kinographical satire/irony/aesthetics. Only us Lynchian patricians understand.

Yes.

I have no idea why I felt oddly emotional when Shelly looked to James and said "He's always been cool"

I hate James. But in that moment I felt for him

Completely

What's up with the mouths of the Coopers? Badcoops held is mouth and didn't get sucked in to the lodge, isntead jones did

was he right /tpg/?

THE NUMBERS, MASON

He, Coop and Lucy aged very well. Also I can't believe Watts is almost 50 years old

The gore effects in season 3 look a lot like the effects in Eraserhead, so watch that.

I can't wait for someone to make a cut of Season 3 that cuts out all the padding of dead time and will only be half the size.

He got bullied for 25 years. Redemption arc incoming.

loved all four episodes!

also realized i have no desire to keep watching fargo after this

yep

Agree with the first part of your post

One must be able to fully embrace the comfy friendliness of the first run of the show and the surreal spiritual horror of FWWM and season 3. Unless one loves all of it they are not a true fan

If that was Josie, they probably would have gotten Joan Chen instead of the woman they did get, Nae Yuki.

Reminder that anyone that says or uses "Kino" is a fucking underage faggot.

If the S2 James arc happened now, people would be calling it satire and K I N O.

You literally can't get through to this circlejerk.

Call for help

Dougie Jones

lmao

Or German.

Unironically yes though
But it couldn't happen now because Lynch is in charge

You are an amazing individual, but I can't do this.
This sounds absolutely perfect, thank you The monochromatic filters and intense atmosphere are so good, can't wait to see it in a block

Would you?

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooOooooooooOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm not excusing it, and I may very well feel different about it when all this is over. But there's something endearing abut the aesthetic of the show and how totally uninterested it is with adhering to any of the the modern standards in terms of presentation

Translation: ITS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE SHIT

That's not what I'm saying, and I don't think it looks like shit either (some stuff does) it's just cool to see something that is its own thing, even if that thing is awkward and off-putting at times.

Memes will kill TwinPeaks....

kino

What a trendy, hipster faggot. He probably saw Season 1 and 2 last year or something.

I just assumed it was the spooky spirit from the Glass Box. Both sounded pretty angry and he did appear in the box right after Coop, so logically it would end up where Coop did after he was in the glass box.

change your hearts or die

All day, lad.

Did anyone else want to stick it in Daria's brown lodge?

tpg check out time for me. I'll see you again in two weeks.

Do you think any scene in this season will be scarier than the Hallway scene in Inland Empire?

HELLOOOOOoooooOOOOOO

I only fap to pre-op hormone tiddy traps

lmaoing @ all the hot take thinkpieces coming out

>muh violence against women
>muh male gaze
>tranny is still played by a white cis man i mean it's 2017 hello
>only poc is a "sex worker"

props to showtime for going ahead with it

It looks unreal, not like shit. It represents a spiritual realm intertwining with our own. There's no way to measure how good it looks, so Lynch's imagination and what we get on screen is what it's supposed to look like. The Gore is perfectly fine too; lynch wanted a dead body that makes us feel a certain way, not have one that looks as realistic as possible. People upset with production quality are completely retarded, end of story

Nice copypasta user

Truthfully? Yes, I'm not too faggy but he was one of my favorite parts of season 3. It was kind of cool seeing a tranny able to make fun of themselves. You couldn't get away with that anymore without a giant backlash.

Best scene is Bobby seeing Laura, I nearly cried. Perfect moment for the first reprise of LPs theme

...

Did Bob create Doug like 45 years ago or 20 and he ages magically

>director of the FBI is a tranny
Man Twin Peaks Sup Forums probably went insane when that happened.

I think he's more like a Fargo character (Malvo, Hanzee), which also fits with the crime show elements.

Was the woman who appeared after the blind one in the pink spaceship thing Ronette Pulaski?

It's a wall jack. Lodge Spirits can enter the real world through electricity. Remember that weird woman in FWWM who showed up a Teresa's trailer? She came through electricity.

>I have to imagine at some point in the 18-hour excursion we will learn how all of these disparate puzzle pieces fit together, but I’m not certain I will have the patience to stick around to find out. None of them came close to hooking me the way the Laura Palmer mystery did. Not a single one featured a character I was invested in. Staying the course almost feels like an exercise in masochism, especially considering Lynch (who directed all 18 parts) said himself that the entire season was fashioned as one seamless, if extra-large, feature film. If this were an actual movie, I would’ve left the theater the moment it became clear the most interesting character was a tree branch with a brain attached to it. Heck, any tree branch with a brain would’ve walked out, too.

Lynch plebs BTFO

Twin Plebs confirmed garbage

Its not Dougie. Its the GOOD Autistic

American Woman (David Lynch Remix)

thanks

wasn't 2:53 the time when the two coopers were being pulled into the black lodge?

I'd agree, but I think some of the digital composite shots look completely haphazard, like no planning was made in terms of framing and making it look good.

Not all, but some, Dougie in his room is one where it just completely lost me, it's literally just the black lodge shot overlaid on the floor and it looks terrible

i meant the change of the digit specifically, 15 to 3

Hey, OP, my dude, my guy

Do you see that thing where it says "OP Pastebin for quick thread making"?

That's there so that you can copypaste directly from there without fucking up the links and no hassle, a template if you will

Just so you know, for next time

Its copy pasta user. Its probably the same autist who waits for every new thread so he can paste away his insecurity.

Daily reminder that Jack Nance was married 7 (seven) years to the Loglady. His former wife said to him, during a phone conversation, that she would kill herself if he hanged up the phone. A storm broke the signal. Later he found that her wife commited suicide inmediatly after the signal went down.

Years later, Jack was killed during a bar fight.

We need to perform necromancy and bring back Pete

can I get that cooper slot machine picture please?

I gotta have more Bobby Briggs

>imagine you're so butthurt over getting blown out all the time, you shitpost in every single thread.
The next months, hell, the next years will be very tough for you.

[INTENSE OTHERWORLDLY SWOOSHING]

So why did Dougie have the ring? The two main theories I'v always seen on it are that either it's owner is Bob's next victim, or it protects it's owner from Bob possession at which point Bob kills them anyway out of rage that he can't possess them. Neither of those really fit, he shouldn't want to possess or kill Dougie so the plan to keep Doppelganger Cooper free works.

the entire room changed. They must have their entrances numbered in that world for a reason. They must go to different locations

HellooOOOOOOOOOOO

?

She's a character from the old series and was a funny one at that. Why would we care? No one cares about tranny characters so long as they aren't obvious pandering, i.e. that their sex is THEIR character.

>during a bar fight.
No, he died when he went home and didn't go to a doctor to get checked out
