YIFY 720p
Anything larger is a waste of space and bandwidth, desu.
Christopher Rodriguez
None of them. YIFY alwasy has shitty sound quality and the rest of them are shit.
Gavin Roberts
I like 2-3GB 720p rips as I find that a good mix between sufficient quality for watching movies on a laptop, size for keeping hard drive requirements down for hoarding and for keeping within monthly data caps, and playback ability on my low end notebook that struggles on some 1080p vids.
4.37 GB 720p rips are perfect, but they are also a bit too much for me for the above reasons.
720p is also a good quality standard for tv shows, as long as there is comparable sufficient bitrate. On tv shows there is not much uniform standard and sourcing and sizes can vary into overkill range for me.
The 2-3GB 720p rips not as easy to find as they used to be, as more releasers switch to insufficient bitrate 1GB 720p range and 1080p rips in the 2GB range.
It's a real shame these 1GB 720p rips are so plentiful because they are simply insufficient for quality. An extra GB would put them over a bar where quality is completely sufficient.
Sometimes I have to make do with a 2GB 1080p file if I can't find a 2GB 720p one. Recently I chose to watch a 2GB 1080p version of Get Out by rarbg, instead of downloading a 4.37GB 720p version. This proved to be a mistake as several scenes had visual blocky artifacts that distracted from the movie.
1GB for 720p and 2GB for 1080p is simply terrible. At the very least so many of these releasers shouldn't bunch up at this range.
Lincoln Diaz
JYK was the best when he was still releasing 2GB 720p rips.
Benjamin Cook
this is a YIFY board
everyone else can keep the fuck moving
Jeremiah Rogers
Generic 8-10GB scene release if I'm not too interested. Internal or Remux release if I'm looking forward to it.
Julian Jenkins
the 1080 YIFY one. might go up to 5gb if I'm really interested
John Thomas
>4K BluRay 82.43GB
but I would uncheck and not download the extra features leaving me at a more palatable 81.76GB download
Nathan James
You are beyond retarded and not at all funny
Gavin Wood
Yeah this.
Charles Ross
>keeping within monthly data caps How do you even live in such an insufferable country between the giant bugs, capped internet, and every woman being a petri dish of STD's?
Zachary Martinez
>monthly data caps Use cable internet, not 3G/4G you idiot
Grayson Morgan
The remux
Grayson Baker
It all depends on the source of course (if it's mostly slow moving/static lower file sizes are okay etc). Usually I pick 2–4 GB if it's 720p and 4–8 GB if it's 1080p. I usually go for better quality if I know the movie is particularly visually pleasing.
Carson Sanchez
I have all this hard drive space any way and probably will delete it anyway afterward so its nice sometimes
Cameron Sanders
i only download the finest yify rips i suggest going back to /r/movies if you don't do the same
Hudson Walker

Ayden Wright
What the fuck is that shit, I would pick none
720p BRrip at ~4.5GB is what I'd download
Caleb Wright
yify 1080 get cancer if you disagree
Carter Sanders
Whatever has the largest size and highest resolution and at least a few seeds and comments.
I have fast internet so even at 20-30gb it's still downloaded within an hour or so. And space isn't an issue.
Joseph Davis
>he still downloads movies after aXXo stopped putting out stuff fucking kek. just stream 720/1080 BRrips. there is no excuse to download/torrent shit anymore and have to put up with bullshit VPNs and ISP letters, I haven't torrented since 2012, its time to enter the new age, user.
Leo Jackson
I mostly download RARGB releases, quality depends on the movie and number of seeders. I used to be quite picky about it but now I don't really care.
Aaron Gray
720p between 4 - 8 gb 1080p between 8 - 12 gb

>having your first experience ruined by shitty bitrate and audio
Liam Brown
I grew up with VHS, man and that shit is so deeply ingrained in my memory, I am still amazed about the quality of some small 720p rips in comparison.
Evan Jenkins
>laws get stricter around hosting streamable copyright content >suddenly nobody can stream or share anything because the files only exist on autistic private trackers public trackers and normies are actually keeping piracy alive.

this is the correct answer. high file size for visually extravagant films. low file size for everything else.
Nolan Diaz
I got kicked out my home by my parents and live in a YMCA. I watch all my kino on my shitty windows phone.

Oliver Walker
>implying i bother to pirate things with my 1.5mbps speeds
Kayden Thompson
I know a lot of people get called underage on this board, but the way you express yourself actually makes you seem like an angry little teen. But hey, what can I expect from the board that's essentially Sup Forums 2.0.
neck urself cunt :^)
Owen Evans
2GB or 4GB
Sometimes 2GB has shit audio tho
James Mitchell
Typically whatever is under 10 GB. People who download anything above that are a worse meme than YIFY and you might as well just start buying blu rays if you're planning on hoarding.
Nathaniel Richardson
This. Yify 720 is all i need. Anything from 600mb to 1.6 gb is enough
