I don't know why Evil Dale "died" and spit up that paint, then woke up again and talked to Gordon. I thought he was "expiring" because the real Dale Cooper escaped the Lodge and took the place of whoever this Dougie person was. I thought Evil Dale had returned to the Lodge since only one can exist at a time? But I don't think Coopers soul was transferred correctly to this new Cooper body so he is going to always be walking around like a retard until someone gets his soul back, which allows Evil Dale to exist a little longer.
Question now is, who tf was Doggie? I thought there can only be one full version of Cooper in the real world?
I feel like this has happened in the past. It's going to keep getting deeper. Maybe Cooper has been in Twin Peaks for eternities and this cycle keep repeating itself over and over again. Maybe that's why he always acted so weird in the old show

After 25 years evil Cooper was supposed to switch places with regular Cooper
To avoid this evil Cooper had a plan which he mentioned in earlier episodes, he somehow created Dougie and Dougie ended up switching instead of him. Once Dougie got sent to the lodge he dissolved because he wasnt a real person
Because of this trick there are 2 Coopers outside the lodge now, neither of which seem to fully function because their arent "complete"
