Whats your guy's opinion on the Hostel trilogy i was thinking of watching it today but want to know if its worth it.

I like them but Eli Roth is an acquired taste. Results might vary.

It's pretty dumb. If you want gore there is better stuff out there.

Such as? Im a huge fan of the Saw franchise so i figured i would like this

1 and 2 are good
2 want to invest more emotions because victims are pretty young girls, which is something I hate in movies in general, but resolution is quite good at the end
3 is shit

A Hostel themed porn site now exists

Fucking boring.

Ugly white trash being fucked by shitskins. USA, USA, USA

i normally just watch the first 20 minutes when its cool college people partying and having sex. whenever all the wired gore shit starts i turn it off

It's a dumb flick, but first one is actually quite decent if you take it what it is.
Hated the second one
Haven't watched the 3rd one.

The part where he cuts his achilles tendons got me good.

The second one is God awful. The first is the best. Third is all right.

The third one is a comedic masterpiece.

Why did this movie cause so much butthurt from slovaks?

I didn't want to stand up after watching that shit.

didn't even know there was a third one. I can't even remember the second but I'm sure I've seen it. The first one was like Saw but without any of the fun.

This is the only part of the torture scenes that really got to me.

What happened? Were they offended?

>The film's release was accompanied by strong complaints from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Slovak and Czech officials were both disgusted and outraged by the film's portrayal of their countries as undeveloped, poor, and uncultured lands suffering from high criminality, war, and prostitution,[12] fearing it would "damage the good reputation of Slovakia" and make foreigners feel it was a dangerous place to be.[13] The tourist board of Slovakia invited Roth on an all-expenses-paid trip to their country so he could see it is not made up of run-down factories, ghettos, and kids who kill for bubble gum. Tomáš Galbavý, a Slovak Member of Parliament from the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union – Democratic Party, commented: "I am offended by this film. I think that all Slovaks should feel offended."[13]

Because it showed that if you go to Slovakia, you're at risk of getting kidnapped and suffering horrific torture. Not only that. but most of the country portrayed in the movie consists of brothels and shitty towns full of gypsies who will rob you.

Only saw the first 2.
1st was boring, 2nd was so much worse it was laughably bad which for me made it more watchable.

I still dunno why everyone was up in arms about this franchise and so called torture porn. It wasn't shocking it was just 80s video nasty tier b movie tripe. We'd seen it before and it probably would have disappeared again if everybody hadn't started exaggerating how controversial/shocking it was.

>The tourist board of Slovakia invited Roth on and all-expenses-paid trip to their country
FUCK THAT

>"In talking to Americans, I realised they have absolutely no idea that Slovakia exists. The latest statistics I found was that 12 percent of Americans own a passport. 12 percent. They do not travel, but they think they own the world, and their dollar will buy everything. When I told people I was going to film in Prague, they said 'Oh, Czechoslovakia - bring toilet paper'. They still think it's some communist country from the 1950s. So when I said Slovakia I knew that Americans do not know the difference between the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Czechslovakia, it's just one big Eastern bloc where there's always a war going on. So Slovakia in the movie, it's not really Slovakia, it's movie Slovakia, and it's based on American stereotypes and these stereotypes, that the cars are old, the people are old, the telephones are old, these are the stereotypes that lure these guys into going there, they believe it and they pay for it. These people get punished for these beliefs. But if you look closely at the film, the people who are actually doing the worst things are other Americans. The people that are doing the torturing and killing are Americans, Japanese, Dutch, Germans and even the people running the organisation are speaking Russian. So the people of Slovakia, they're just letting it happen there. And that's more my comment on what I've seen in American beliefs in post-communist societies, where they think they can just come in and take over with their dollars and it brings out the worst in humanity and the Americans are punished for this belief."

BRAVO, ROTH!

That jew fuck

Full on damage control.

We're not butthurt, it's 100% realistic. DO NOT go here, you'll get robbed, raped and killed, not in this order. Also we're full.

>forgetting that they were lured there
That little pussy wont even defend his work.

I am an American. I didn't even realize Slovak-land was a real country until this thread.

It's just gore porn. Basically the same as Saw.
