I've been thinking this for a really long time...

I've been thinking this for a really long time, but this week has really made me come to terms with the fact that I hate DC. I've tried to give them a chance in the past but nothing they've ever made has really interested me. Marvel has offered me stuff like Spiderman, Daredevil, and Punished that I've grown up with, but DCs heroes have always been kiddish and underdeveloped in comparison.

What also gets me is how anal DC fans are. I've noticed that almost all DC fans are social outcasts while the majority of people happily grow up with Marvel. It feels like a really contrarian way to make decisions. With that comes a sense of unwarranted self importance. DC fans like to pretend their books are "smart," and have a lot of guys like Morrison that write a lot of pseud gobbledygook. DC stories are all about being told how smart you are and being meta. Marvel isn't high art but they're good at telling stories about people that act like people.

But what really gets me is that they're always rebooting and pushing events that do nothing but dredge up shit from their past for nostalgia. It's a backwards way of writing that shows that they're creatively bankrupt, and I feel like they hurt ALL comics, not just their own.

What do you think? Why do you hate or like DC?

Shill harder, mouseketeer.

sweet another DC hate thread, to early for this shit Disney shill.

I take credit for popularizing Mouseketeer as an insult for Marvel fans. It seems to make them really mad and makes me laff every time

Squirrel Girl
Gwenpool
Hail Hydra
Marlel NOW!: reloaded

I hate DC because they decided to put Dial H in their main lineup instead of as a Vertigo book, which got it cancelled.
Actually, I hate them for cancelling Dial H in general.

...

I wonder why mouseketeers are shilling so hard? I've really noticed the DC hate increasing recently.

>it's a disneyfriend chimpout episode

>I take credit for popularizing an insult I didn't come up with on a tibetan agriculture social network

Try harder, Disney, you'll get us next time.
Kidding.

Ya'll niggas posting in a troll thread.

>liking punisher
>liking daredevil

nobody who likes either of these characters has any taste

>pseud
not a word
>gobbledygook
quite racist tbqh

>What do you think?
It sounds like you've confused Marvel for DC.

I disagree. Marvel doesn't have stories anyone could ever consider "smart"

Marvel is actually bad

>DC puts out some decent stuff, in a true attempt to rectify their own, self admitted, even, mistakes. Giving fans what they want, apologising for what they've done wrong.

>Disney Defence Force comes out of the woodwork, trying to stink up every thread on every single message board on the internet

>this is what a soulless company like Marlel does to you.

Sure am I glad I put the order down for every single rebirth series.

Try harder, disney. HAIL HYDRA

>actually liking a soulless, greed driven company like Marvel

At least DC admits they fucked up, and are actively apologising for it.

Drones out in force today.

>implying Gwenpool isn't great

This. I'm so sick of Sup Forums's hate-boner for DC and blatant Marvel bias. For once I'd like to have a DC thread without Marvel shills shitting it up. The only "flaw" that DC's ever had was making comics for patricians and true fans instead of braindead "general audiences" and casuals.

Don't pretend you're a fan of Spider-Man if you can't even spell his name properly.

user, this is a blatant bait thread. OP is either a false-flagging DCfriend or a shitposter who doesn't read comics in the first place.

Anyone who supports a publishing company like it's a sports team is a fucking moron.

>DC fans like to pretend their books are "smart," and have a lot of guys like Morrison that write a lot of pseud gobbledygook.

>Morrison haters are Marveldrones.

Don't know why this didn't occur to me earlier.

Reading Morrison requires slightly higher than braindead thought processes, so obviously impatient disney-quip-lovers hate it.

>What also gets me is how anal DC fans are. I've noticed that almost all DC fans are social outcasts while the majority of people happily grow up with Marvel.
As demonstrated by the difference in the storytimes to DC books and Marvel books

Sup Forums has always been a DC board, man. It's only since the MCU brought Sup Forums that Chris Evanses and DC hate threads started.

Nobody ever talks about Marvel comics, except maybe X-men. It's all DC.

Where do I fit in, as a Marveldrone that thinks Morrison is god's gift to comics?

You didn't know that already?

Not only are they too dumb to read his books, but Morrison did a run of X-men that they HATE because he dared to make Magneto a bad guy.

you fit in as a target for conversion. Join us and together we can take the mouse down. No better time than Rebirth.

You're apparently one of the few non-retarded marveldrones, then. Must be lonely.

Aren't most DC storytimes fun while Marvel ones are full of salt?

Even Red Hood, an abjectly terrible book everyone hates, tends to have fun storytime threads.

You don't like my comic book your stupid

Yeah, that was meant to be sarcasm.

>but Morrison did a run of X-men that they HATE because he dared to make Magneto a bad guy.

Wait what? I don't read much marvel, it was more of childhood thing for me growing up, but I did read that run on X-men.

I thought it was great? Marveldrones are worse than I thought.

he was being sarcastic.

>Morrison
>smart
>LOOK AT ME POINTING OUT METAMEMS AND LOL AREN'T COMICS CRAZY? ALSO YOU HAVE TO READ ALL THIS OTHER STUFF TO SEE THE FAINT STUPID THREAD I WAS WRITING AS A THEME!

Oh whoops. My bad.

>that pic

Is it really that old?
Did a Disney employee make it?

>average marvel comic fan

Stick to your memepool and Squirrel Girl

...

I go between Sup Forums and Sup Forums and I hate Marvel's bland style of filmmaking and even if I'm not really into DC I at least admire them for trying something different -- even if they fail.

>I hate them for cancelling Dial H in general.
Because the giant size final issue wasn't enough nor was the coda/extra issue in villain's month? Let's not forget they even gave it a deluxe edition hardcover trade. But yes, DC treated Dial H terribly

...

We've always been at war with Eurasia and Disney has always owned Marvel

>BTFO so much they can only use reaction memes

...

...

>Mickey Mouse spiderman
>at least 5 years before they had the rights to them

It's official. Everything is written -- Disney is literally the illuminati.

Wonder when someone will prove Zootopia is real and Disney has a portal through which they have sent employees to warp their world to fit the narrative so they can make the movie

>shitty post gets shitty responses
>cries about it

wew

>Spiderman
>goes on long rant cocksucking Marvel
>can't spell their flagship character's name right who's supposedly "offered" so much

It's not that surprising. Remember Disney's Operation Big Bird, which was their internal name for their project to get the Muppets?

Their buyout if Marvel had to have been a long time coming. They had to put it through cost analysis, run it past board members, make some backroom deals and plans, and a bunch of shit. 5 years is not super unrealistic for a big ponderous corporation.

>pushing events that do nothing but dredge up shit from their past for nostalgia.
You mean how literally every event Marvel has has been another ham fisted Hero vs Hero event?

You know, I really wish I could get a glimpse into what really happens behind the scenes.

There is something particularly fishy about Disney, even for a mega-corporation something doesn't smell right.

>But what really gets me is that they're always rebooting and pushing events that do nothing but dredge up shit from their past for nostalgia.

Its a simple plot. When DC hits its anticlimax, which its made to do continuously, Marvel hits its high points. Its really not hard to make two sides, have people fight over them, and then collect from whoever you currently support.

See Pepsi vs. Coke, Sony vs. Microsoft, and pretty much any "red vs. Blue" idea that's out there.

The point is, if you're still trying to make one team instead of two opposing ones, that's why you're not making money/ becoming successful.

There's been a lot of speculation. The biggest thing is that Disney as a company has nothing to use it's money on since its so big. Due to America's insanely fucked up laws a corporation is legally required to always do everything they can to increase profits, except there's only a finite amount of money in the US. Disney realistically can't make more movies so they expand into demographics, and rather than developing properties they just buy them.

Marvel and Star Wars were an attempt and capturing the young male market, since Disney primarily makes princess movies nowadays.

Stuff like their constant starting and dissolution of games divisions is probably due to a pretty typical corporate phenomena where a suit will get a wild hair, start a project then get promoted. His successor does not see the necessity of the project and gets rid of it, and the process repeats when he is promoted. You see this a lot in TV when shows get immediately dropped from being promoted or even cancelled when there's a big round of promotions.

Basically, Disney owns so much that they can't do anything but buy more shit.

>mug false equivalence

So how long until the entire film industry is owned by them?

Hell, how long until they own the entire entertainment industry?

>DC logo is blue, Marvel red
>pepsi is blue, coke is red
>Dems are blue, Repubs are red

Holy shit how have I never seen this before?
Are there any other examples?

they'll never own all of a single thing, always about half of it.

isn't there some law or regulation or something that prevents owning the entire market when it comes to stuff like this?

...

>implying Disney doesn't have a deal with the government that makes them immune

>implying Disney won't make Elsa gay to fulfill their end of the bargain in advancing the government's agenda

>implying the government won't help them continue buying the Animated Feature Oscar year in and year out

but centrists do have coherent beliefs?
I don't get this picture, centrism has defined political vies and policies just like the right and left

But if Marvel and the GOP are red, why are the Marvel comics liberal (even too much now, according to many)?
Shouldn't the Repubs be communist, to fit with the color?

there are laws against monopoly's but they're full of loopholes

Its not, if you do any of the research. A lot of the core writers for both of the big two were back and forth, along both affiliations. When one person or another didn't get what they wanted published, they just went to the other side. That's why it's all called capeshit.

>the government has a stake in the sexual preferences of elsa

I can see it.

Sounds like commie talk to me.

I don't think it matters when at the end of the day the main purpose is to divide and conquer.

It's called that because cucks from Sup Forums who don't know what they're talking about (you) call it that.

Not exactly the same but Nintendo/Playstation/XBOX is Red/Blue/Green

but there are objective differences in all of those things

If you think Coke and Pepsi taste the same you are brain damaged.

back in the day on Sup Forums if you liked or disliked something people would either agree or call you a fag

now it's, "I DISAGREE YOU'RE A SHILL! SHILL! FUCKING SHILL! THIS GUY'S A SHILL!"

this entire website is the boy who cried rape

WOLF! THE BOY CRIED WOLF!

but did he?

Back in the day there weren't actual paid marketers posting threads

I blame Sup Forums

but people are actually being either paid to shill or doing it for free now

Would you like me to list the litany of bad DC titles?

fucking Sup Forums

but it's like everyone who has an opinion is a shill

>mouseketeer panics and starts googling "bad DC books"

>sub-par film universe

>tv writing losing quality

>digging up Watchmen's grave for ideas

What am I supposed to be happy about? Rebirth? A litany of new titles, most of which will bomb in a few months?

I read whatever company entertains me more at that time.

Image > Marvel > DC

if someone holds an opinion that aligns with the latest big marketing campaign of a megacorporation known for that kind of thing, people are going to be pretty suspicious.

Look at what's going on with Sony and Ghostbusters

You people overestimate Sup Forums's importance and comic companies competence.

They can't even properly shill/market their products on the big social networks, we know this because sales have been relatively steady for a long time, why would you think they would market on fucking Sup Forums.

It's not the companies, it's the DCucks and Marveldrones themselves who do it.

forum sliding.

You don't know how these companies work, do you?

Shit-trolling OP, shit

>listing the Watchmen thing as a negative
>while defending Marvel
>as we stand on the cusp of 8 months of Civil War AGAIN

>forum sliding
>Sup Forums

Look, I get it, you wanna be important, you want to think Sup Forums is still relevant. But it's not.

>DC cuck has nothing to fall back on

>b...but movies

Sup Forums posters should be hanged

>DC friends make fun of Marvel movies for having a formula

>implying a chemical formula that works is bad

>meanwhile DC is trying to do alchemy and getting mad they can't make gold bars

It all ties into a larger management issue.

Especially now that Johns is taking a bigger hand in ALL of them.

Sup Forums made Minecraft big and people noticed

>BUT MOVIES?!
Please, let it end

Why are we talking about movies?

P-people still talk about alchemy centuries later though!

The only difference I've found between the fandoms is how to look at the works critically.

Marvel fans know if something is shit, and will admit when it is.

A lot of DC fans tend to live in denial longer.

Considering the (lack of) quality of Marvel's comics, and the fact that all their shows and cartoons are getting cancelled, they really need SOMETHING to talk about

Gwenpool

>Young Animal will never give us a Dial H Vol. 2

But it worked.

The image is from 2009, aka the year they bought Marvel aka the year they had the rights to him for everything but movies
