Underrated
Nolan's Batman Begins is litterally what killed the equivalent of Nu-Metal for movies, by showing that movies for young audiences have to be serious and dark and deep

Also, I unironically listen the limbizkit mission impossible theme song and My way at times. Behind blue eyes is some of the worst shit I've ever heard though.
Vince Vaughn kino.
I don't think so.
Name 1 thing that makes the 00's stand out.
>70's - Long hair, disco
>80's - Pastel colors, sprayed hair, big cell phones
>90's - Happiness
>00's - ???
>10's - terrorism and shit, PC world, self destruction
CapeShit
>pretty popular
>not very good
>always the same
>in a few years everyone will be embarrassed that they ever liked it
This
Terrorism is more of a 00s things since it hit big with 9/11 and the subsequent war on terror.
00s - 9/11, terrorism, emo styles and music, indie rock, mainstream rap, nu-metal, cell phones becoming a ubiquitous accessory for everyone starting at about 2000~, internet becoming more mainstream and a standard part of life (but really started in the 90s)
The problem with it is that lot of the things you can attribute to the 2000s really began and became popular in the 90s. Things like cell phones and the internet for example. The 2000s are really more like an evolution of things that came from the mid 90s ~.

>They literally started the trend going after white people
This is the only correct answer. Soundtrack by Jonathan Davis of Korn, and you even get early 00s record label drama in the form that Jonathan Davis' vocals were allowed on the actual film, but not the soundtrack - leading to an album with like 12 different nu-metal singers basically doing covers on the album.
Donnie Darko is another contender.
nope
>80s Happiness and successes
>90s Seed of destruction
1. Fight Club
2. Saw

THE MATRIX COPYCATS. DUH. So many cheap Matrix rip-offs. Even Christian Bale starred in one. I remember people were saying Gun-Fu was a real martial arts involving guns and is quite effective (being able to use a gun the same way a Samurai uses a sword)
This is the most accurate post so far. This movie is the perfect equivalent.. popular with edgy teens but rightly dismissed by critics and people with any shred of taste..
Yep and this
uwe boll
Also: Dark City
It was the edgier cousin of The Matrix, from director of The Crow (which bridged grunge/Goth to Columbine kids before that was a thing)
How could I forget fight club, that could be one the best equivalents to nu male metal... super edgy with anti establishment themes and a fan base consisting of fedora sperg-lords
What would be the black metal of film
