Looks like this is based on Castlevania 3 (Grant-I'm assuming from the daggers, Alucard, and Sylphia with probably Trevor Belmont).

That's the best non-metroidvania Castlevania. Cautiously looking forward to this now

SotN is kino and plays fluidly, and it does have at least a couple of tough bosses. It also has the best soundtrack and great sprite art so it is you, not him, who should off thyself.
