The human population is so diverse, even in your own town. That's why inbreeding doesn't really have a strong effect, except in cases of siblings or close cousins. The only cases of hybrid vigor that can occur is when an inbred population is suddenly outbred. The vast majority of humans have a high level of heterozygosity to start with. So you really aren't going to see the large fitness gains you see with inbred populations which are suddenly outbred.
In other words, this couple is enough diverse to avoid genetic problems in their offspring.
