Avengers 2 was not as bad as you all make it out to be. In fact, I liked it. It was at least as good as Avengers 1, which was a comfortably mediocre movie in and of itself that is looked back upon so fondly solely because it was the payoff of the last four Marvel movies.

Ultron was cool despite his weird mouth, his plan was servicable and the only real problem I have with the movie is that the Black Widow/Banner parts are a bit awkward. Oh, and Quicksilver was a bit wooden, but he gets a pass because slavsquat tracksuit Pietro is both hilarious and credible.

Overall, I think I may have enjoyed AoU even more than Avengers.

Yeah it was better than the first one. The first one was really mediocre too, but most people forgave that at the time because of the novelty of it.

Capeshit movies don't belong here

Neither do the opinions of tripfags desu

Go to reddit or something if you want to chat about MCU to be honest

Ideally there would be a board just for cape live action adaptations because it shits up both Sup Forums and Sup Forums with people who go to both boards only interested in that particular topic

Think I'll stay here, thanks.

I'd also like to add that Iron Man 2 was decent as well.

Preacher isn't that good. Neither is Y The Last Man.

Frank Miller, Jack Kirby and Alan Moore are the best minds to ever work on superhero comics. Alan Moore is the best writer to ever write a superhero comic by a large margin.

It's bizarre to me that the second bit is unpopular at all.

>Banner/Widow
It makes so much more sense when you realize that she is his handler, her job is to literally control the Hulk and calm him down after a mission. If Banner wants to protect her before she 'loves' him he'll subconsciously fight harder to tame down Hulk, and it works like a fucking charm too. Keep in mind, Widow is a professional liar, she excels at manipulation (as was shown in in Avengers 1 twice, once with the Russians and again with Loki), she's the ultimate spy behind Nick Fury and shouldn't be trusted at all. The reason why the Bruce X Nat ship never sailed for me is because, with all of these factors in mimd, it was pretty obvious what she was doing.

Always bothered me that not one of my friends caught this when we were talking aboit the film after watching it.

I agree with you OP. The forced romance and excessive quips are my only major complaints. Killing off Quickslav was annoying but the actor didn't want to come back, so it's understandable.

I think Sup Forums is funny and the fact that people get legitimately angry at them is just silly

I thought Y was great until the 2nd half.
Same with Preacher. Once they got to the desert in Arizona (?) shit went down hill fast. The endings on both were trash

The damage done to extremis was worse than what was done to the mandarin in Iron Man 3, especially when Marvel even went out of their way to make a short that apologetically absolves Kingsley of any ties to the claim.

>Fish Rape meme basically

In honesty I think Alan Moore does have a tendency to use rape in his stories WAY too much.

I do agree with the part about Miller, Kirby, and Moore though.

>The endings on both were trash

The ending of Y The Last Man is ALL OF THE FEELS?!

If you didn't cry with Ampersand's death then you're a literal soulless monster.

Golden Age Batman is still some of the best Batman around. I have a book of the newspaper strips and they're maximum comfy.

IM2 was way better than IM3.
Hammer was amusingly lame, whereas Trevor was just a pathetic joke that could have been an extremely intense villain (all respect to Kingsley, the fault is in the script). Also all of that "lame fans pestering RDJ" stuff in IM3.
But IM2 was awesome. Whiplash was top-tier, Hammer was great for banter, and the first War Machine suit is visually much better looking than the Iron Patriot/War Machine from AoU and CW.

Iron Man 3 is among the best of the MCU.

Miller is shit. I agree about Kirby and Moore tho.

Moore's a hack but your other stuff is on point.

Wait people liked the first avengers movie? It's was borderline boring. It was almost starwars prequels bland.

Looks like someone needs to re-read their Daredevil again.

Miller admittedly doesn't have a lot of range in terms of subject matter (hard-boiled crime drama or bust) , but his powers of storytelling within the format of comics themselves brought something to the table that few have been able to match since his heyday.

Course he's gone completely off the deep end now, but hey.

MCU movies suck dick and you people only praise them because you're happy to see your favorite capes on screen.

I think thr only people who really laud it now haven't seen it since the hype-filled theater release.

I still love it on principle because of what it managed to do and as a nice callback to Avengers #1, but yeah, if you aren't watching it in the theaters shitting yourself with excitement in 2011(12?) it's a very 'eh' experience.

Well, if it's better than the prequels it's way better than TFA.

Still haven't bothered to watch it. JJ hasn't made a movie yet that wasn't completely forgettable.

I watched it and really enjoyed it, but the complaints about similarities to New Hope are apt (though it didn't bother me much). I haven't seen it since I saw it in theaters, which everyone knows is the true test of a movie.

Look, you might even be right, if you measure the movie by its own merits.

But you can't.

Why?

Maybe for a drama but a big ass action blockbuster? Fuck no. Plus some movies that are good have no rewatchability

Halo effect is real, yo.

Because the level of quality is stagnant. That's the real problem with sequels. It needs to continuously improve.

dumbest poster of the year award

Batman vs Superman was not as bad as you all make it out to be. In fact, I liked it. It was at least as good as Civil War, which was a comfortably mediocre movie in and of itself that is looked back upon so fondly solely because it was the payoff of the last four Marvel movies.

Lex was cool despite his weird autism, his plan was servicable and the only real problem I have with the movie is that the Superman/Lois Lane parts are a bit awkward. Oh, and Wonder Woman was a bit wooden, but she gets a pass because Jewqt armour Dianna is both hilarious and credible.

Overall, I think I may have enjoyed BvS even more than Civil War.

Despite it being a joke, this is more explanation for liking BvS than actual BvS fans have put forward.

Wrong.

Its not that Avengers two was bad its that it was tiresome. On its own its fine but when if came out it was the ongoing onsluaught of marvel movies, now so expertly crafted that they've become cookie cutters. Every quip and joke was telegraphed long before it happened and it was honestly exhausting.

The finale straining to show "look we're saving all the civilians, take that man of steel!" reduced Ultron to being useless.

For me personally Cap 3 got me re-hyped

I liked Thor 1 and 2 over Cap 2
I liked Avengers 1 over Civil War

I don't like this new direction the MCU is taking by become more unfun just to make more money.

I thought Cap 2 and CW were plenty fun. The plot was more serious, but it was fun to watch. I think what you want is more camp, which is fine.

Miller HAD one of the greatest minds in comics. He just went batshit crazy after 9/11.

Everything else is right with your post.

The first Avengers is pretty damn bad and it's well liked mostly because it's the first Avengers movie. Avengers 2 isn't as bad, just mediocre.

Go to reddit or something if you want to have some kind of sad little "online identity".

I can't draw or writte any fapfic or lewd/porn picture of a Sup Forums or Sup Forums character WITHOUT it being in character.

I don't know...I find making characters acting OOC for the sake of the porn kind of autistic and misses the point. I mean if the character is not acting in the way that the character act...why even use the character and not just a random OC that looks the part?

Of course, drawing porn in character makes it a little more difficult to do the requests on /aco/. I am fine with alternate universes tho, where things can get a little weirder.

This is an unpopular opinions thread, not a confessions thread.

But most people request and enjoy ooc porn. So I thought that it was an unpopular opinion.

I don't understand why these movies are taking themselves so seriously all of a sudden.

I was worried that Civil War was being too serious, like BvS serious, but it became fun during the airport scene.

Comic book are meant to be campy and fun and that's what the MCU started out as, but they're changing too much,

I fully agree - I had fun. I've had fun with all the Marvel movies so far.

All movies relating to capeshit should be on Sup Forums. You don't discuss and storytime the Fountain/Noah comic on Sup Forums, just because it had a comic book. It ruins the quality of every board where cross contamination happens. The same shit applies to horsefuckers invading this board. Capeshit movies are the horsefuckers of the past few years.

Batman killing in Batman vs Superman isn't that big a deal. It really shouldn't have happened though.

This.

Civil War was a jumbled mess with no direction other than spin-off movies/plot lines. This is coming from someone that loved and accepts how jumbled Batman vs Superman could be.

Black Panther and Nighthawk are dumb characters that shouldn't exist other than to fill out agendas.

If you think of a comic book character and the first thing you think of is their powers, then they're shit characters and should be sent to limbo.

Age of Ultron was the best of the Avengers trilogy.

Civil War was the biggest disappointment of this year. I expected the best MCU movie after Cap 2.

>Adventure Time has always been meh. Interesting to where I will watch an episode, but poorly executed ideas is what drew me away. It received popularity because it was the best thing that CN had put out for a while

>New PPG are cuter than old PPG (still a shit show)

>Marvel were simple and fun. Now they're a chore to get through because it pretty much requires you to have seen all the previous films

>Toby Maguire was and still is best Spiderman

>DBZ was nowhere near as popular as people like to remember it. Maybe 10-25% of people (usually the outcasts, though there were exceptions) at your school watched it occasionally and the that was it. Now the first few seasons of Pokemon, everybody knew about that shit

>Psychicpebbles is like Adam Sandler: started out making silly voices, being stupid on purpose, and having "lol2randumb XD" faces. Now, it's pretty much obvious he is a hack who can't do anything else for shit.

Both civil war fcbd and the 0 issue are better than dc rebirth.

Garfield was a great Peter in the first movie.

Ultimate Spider-man never was good.

Olsen was a bad cast for Wanda.

I don't want to see Peter married again.

Three Jokers is an interesting idea. As is Hydra Cap.
