I always felt like symbiotes had so much more potential than writers gave them.
I mean you've got a shape shifting solid/liquid entity that can be controlled at speed of thought and to some extent has a mind of its own. Said entity also enhances many of the wearers physical characteristics. However instead the only thing that writers ever seem to use them as is as a scary muscle suit.
Carnage is maybe the only wearer that ever really scratched the surface of what the symbiote is capable of, though I can't say I care for the bizarre direction his current book has headed.
