The mention of muscles from the last thread got me thinking.
If you had to cast The Rock/Dwayne Johnson as a character from the EU, who would you have him play?
Cooper Nelson
Ahsoka Mano.
Isaiah Turner
A stormtrooper.
Charles Rodriguez
CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE BARON IS COOKING
Cameron Sanchez
Yoda's son who has to finish Rey's training after Luke dies at the end of Episode VIII.
Michael Wilson
Yeah, I know. I'm going to make better art than that. The creative arts is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
Logan Scott
Bane
Angel Cooper
Just become a photographer and hire models to dress as the characters you want.
Colton Green
S-sorry, user :(
Jayden Hernandez
He could be The Rukh. He's Thrawn bodyguard.
Camden Carter
Ok, what are we expecting from Rogue One? And is anyone hyped for it, that's not a hardcore fan, because I really want this movie to do well and usher in some nice, quality Star Wars movies that aren't a part of trilogies.
Dominic Jenkins
Photography is easy and you can't take photos of fantasy\sci-fi\numerous things anyway
Jason Murphy
who is the Doomguy of Star Wars?
Dylan Nelson
>Ok, what are we expecting from Rogue One? Disney did their boring safe 'look you can trust us with the ip' movie already with VII. Maybe they'll try something new. Or maybe they'll just milk the franchise for everything it's worth.
I'm afraid it's gonna be a by the numbers movie set in the star wars universe though.
Christopher Rodriguez
Sure you can, user. It's called Photoshop Magic.
Anthony Gomez
I mean, if you want to be literal about it? Kyle Katarn, seeing as his first few games were basically just a conversion of Doom....
Jason Hernandez
Only the first game was Doom, and DFII is the best Star Wars game bar none.
Anthony Lewis
Having recently played those games, I feel like you're a little blinded by nostalgia....
They were amazing for their time, but age has not been kind to them....
Hudson Foster
>nostalgia
James Bailey
I just played through Dark Forces II, actually. I feel like it held up pretty well. Besides the graphics, what do you think aged poorly about it?
Colton Rogers
...
Nolan Roberts
Is this meant as non-cringey?
Gavin Long
I think this one's better
Angel Reyes
Wait, I somehow confused 1 as 2 because I am dumb. Just booted it up.
Still don't think that the controls and the graphics hold up well though. It's just doesn't feel as good to play as modern titles.
I'd play the new Battlefront over it if I wanted to play a star wars game that actually controlled well desu.
Julian Morgan
>desu
I forgot that it still auto corrected to that in posts. Oh well.
Christian Perry
Fair enough. I rank it about on par with the original Half Life, which is similar and I also feel held up pretty well. Just a matter of perspective, I guess.
Colton Scott
I think DF2 is ok, but I may be biased since I usually replay it after DF1. Seriously, DF1 levels are far too often incomprehensible, and sometime even the "explore any loose ends of the shitty ass map" won't save you.
Sebastian Hall
> Rewatching S3 Ep 11 > spot this
This rodian beauty seems to be a popular poster.
Xavier Perry
>Fair enough. I rank it about on par with the original Half Life Seriously? HL was goat
Parker Foster
I admit, not bad.
Who ate his shoulder, though?
May be the third person view, but I find DF2 to be more difficult to navigate. And the levels are truly gigantic.
James Taylor
>Who ate his shoulder, though? You've never seen a man with a fappin' arm before?
Aaron Barnes
I miss SWG
Easton Sanders
I wanted a visual interpretation of this, so I did some photoshopping.
Cameron Parker
We were going to have a guild it in, but there was a lack of interest at the time swgemu.com/forums/forum.php
Jace Kelly
stuh wuzz
Asher Scott
No one ever managed to be on at the same time as me, so I never could get people into the guild....
Only way to do it (that I can figure out at least), is by adding people that are near me in game, which means I can invite people into the game unless we're on at the same time. If I could get a few people in and give them the ability to add people would be easier, but there's just not enough interest....
Owen Rogers
into the guild not into the game
I'm sorry, words are hard.
Lincoln Stewart
I was interested in it, but I just don't have the free time to commit to it.
Don't want to join, only to abandon it soon after, like I sort of did with the Commander group.
Lincoln Robinson
pastebin.com/fRajXXsq And here's a tutorial I made. I also was hyped to join like but I have no time to play videogames. Fuck my life.
Levi Moore
Has Force Jesus Anakin ever done anything unparalleled or impressive for a Jedi or a Sith?
Grayson Jones
Killed the emperor.
Juan Cooper
There's the Mortis arc for one
Jason Butler
Most of his "muh chosen one" stuff was about the potential he had, but never quite reached.
But if you want examples of crazy shit he did that other Jedi couldn't, he;
>Jumped out of hyperspace into the middle of a space battle
and
>Controlled the Son and Daughter Celestials on Mortis
Those are two feats no other Jedi or Sith have ever done, as far as we know.
The hyperspace thing is, slightly less impressive now though, thanks to JJ making Han able to Hyperspace safely into a planet, without even being Force sensitive.
Eli Jenkins
Wasn't Mortis just a three-way shared dream
Logan Jenkins
>thanks to JJ making Han able to Hyperspace safely into a planet Honestly if somebody could do that other than a force sensitive then an old Han Solo could do it. I mean, this is the guy that did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.
Brody Bailey
Was there an ultra fast battle of wills in the force we couldn't detect or did he just throw a distracted old man down a shaft?
Henry Wilson
That's what they wanted you to believe.
We still don't know what Filoni's endgame to all this is.
Elijah Taylor
>That pic WAIT WHAT
Brody James
too much pottery
Samuel Martin
There's a lot of allusions to the Owl and the Celestials too, but when asked about it Filoni just laughs and avoids the questions, saying we wont know the truth for a long time.
Robert Jenkins
Less than.
Isaac Morales
Or too much reused assets.
Ethan Thomas
>"Few still know of our existence." Do you guys think Snoke knows about Mortis?
Also I think we're probably going to get some Mortis pottery in the ST (assuming Rian has seen TCW). Just think, Rey could be the daughter, Kylo could be the son, and Luke could be the father if he is more of a grey Jedi now. Not literal biology, but in pottery.
Hunter Wilson
>assuming Rian has seen TCW Do you genuinely believe the directors are the only authority on what gets put into the movies?
Carson Gutierrez
>assuming Rian has seen TCW
You know he hasn't user
Julian Diaz
No no, it's poetry. POETRY.
Brayden Green
I've read a lot of theories about Snoke being a Celstial. I'd be 100% ok with it. It directly comes from the barely-used lore Lucas left, and actually presents a legitimate greater threat that isn't just Sheev 2.0, without discrediting the previous threats in the franchise.
In fact, it's too good to be true.
Sebastian Jackson
God in Heaven, that painting is from Star #ars galaxies. The artist used the ign of Zel. Her whole guild (MASC) were nothing but assholes and scumbags. So glad that game is dead.
Isaiah Myers
To be fair he's shown knowledge in some really obscure canon shit like the force tree in Shattered Empire and has been involved in Bloodlines. I wouldn't be surprised if he's seen it since it's one of the most important things in canon other than the movies.
Zachary Davis
I think the Force Tree was part of the plan all along. Things like that and the general outlines for the movies were planned way before Episode 7 came out
Jeremiah Hernandez
Even if he hasn't seen TCW I'm sure Lucasfilm has regular meetings about lore and the direction of Star Wars in general. In fact I know they do.
Lucas Green
> Snoke being a Celstial. That would be too awesome. But I doubt they'd ever have him be that. "Too confusing for the casual fans" or something like that.
And OT Elitists would definitely hate the idea, seeing as they hated midichlorians and want the force to be "mystical" and "unexplained".
Carter Moore
do we have to be twi'leks to join?
Benjamin Ortiz
Well the Celestials were pretty mysterious weren't they? It was the first arc in TCW that attempted to prove the Force was still mysterious, the second being the Yoda arc.
Kathleen Kennedy very likely did watch TCW, because she's close friends with Lucas. The Lucasfilm Story Group have probably watched TCW repeatedly.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used the Mortis arc as a starting point for new ideas, considering those episodes always seem to be fan favorites whenever people mention TCW.
The movie directors may not have watched TCW. (They may have, I don't really know. I doubt any of them will admit they haven't, because they're all shitscared of being seen as not real fans)
But the directors aren't the ones coming up with the overall story. In fact, people seem to keep forgetting that Lucas left an outline for the next three movies (and the Han Solo movie)
Granted they apparently changed a lot of his TFA plan, but still. It's entirely possible it was him who suggested Snoke be a Celestial, and possible that Kathleen/LSG/The movie writers have kept that idea.
Christian Green
Isn't that image from swg?
Jordan Allen
No, is just the name of the guild.
Hunter Butler
Is creating a sw webcomic a good idea?
Cooper Barnes
Oh man, this pic takes me back. I remember when it was being done, the Twillek and Mon Cal were two members of the guild that died in a car crash. I was so freaking happy to see it included as an in game painting. Pic related is another pic from the guild master, Zell. She made the best freaking sigs, animated to boot. Anyway, this is a pic of my toon Tashaa in Restiss(sp?). Cost a billion credits, but it was worth it.
Jace Stewart
Fancomic? No.
Official canon comic? YES
Grayson Cox
That depends, is it going to have a plot and a story(doesn't matter if it's pornographic) or is it just going to be filled with nothing but porn and no discernable plot? Is it going to be filled with cringe-fest oc characters or are you going to make some effort on making well-rounded characters?
Dominic Perry
Nah, for me she isn't
Wyatt Thompson
Go for it.
Oliver Peterson
A poem about tight budget?
Andrew Morgan
But user, it can't be canon if it's not made by the original creators.>Is it going to be filled with cringe-fest oc characters Gods no. I created this character called Kylo Ren but then I realized... this character kinda sucks! >or are you going to make some effort on making well-rounded characters? imagine basically snips and skyguy + this song as a webcomic youtube.com/watch?v=TxhKfw0KEUc
Cooper Phillips
How the fuck has nobody typed up the Adventures in Wild Space books?
William Richardson
Why the fuck haven't you gone and bought the books after this much whining?
Joshua Collins
Star Wars is baby shit for babies.
Asher Nguyen
Why was Papa Palpatine so strong in the force when he learned of his sensitivity so late and didn't have any family history of strong force users?
Cameron Allen
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS FAG He wants them (You)s.
Dylan Butler
...
Andrew Martinez
oh shit
Leo Fisher
Realizing that Rogue One is just a sci-fi remake of Where Eagles Dare, but with klaxons instead of drums?
Ryan Johnson
It's so long until Rogue One and Star Wars Celebration Orlando....
Hopefully EAs announcements on the 12th won't be disappointing. I NEED NEW STAR WARS THINGS TO KEEP ME FEELING ALIVE.
Elijah Jackson
I find this thread's lack of Grievous disturbing.
Jordan Hernandez
Hope you enjoy more mobile freemium shit and on-disc DLC.
Also, have fun with playing as Mon Mothma and General Veers in Battlefront on the Death Star map
Samuel Smith
>Mon Mothma and General Veers in Battlefront on the Death Star map What?
Dylan Gomez
>learned of his sensitivity so late Common.
>didn't have any family history of strong force users Also common.
Chase Hall
GoH is fun, but running out of interesting things to do in it. I actually like EA's Battlefront, but am waiting for the sequel and am not buying the DLC.
What I'm really waiting for is info on the Amy Hennig Project and the other games. I'm at a pont where I'm just really sort of lost for anything of interest.
I'm not really interested in the comics or the books really. Not like either of them will have any true effect on what's in the movies.
Andrew Turner
Just throwing out shit at random. Tried to work along the lines of 'how do we top Greedo and Niem Numb in terms of randomness/unexpectedness over someone people actually want to play. For fun, mind you; I'm not trying to be a dick or anything.
Kinda brings back memories of that pic advertising Ringo Starr's guitar for Beatles: Guitar Hero.
Colton Foster
Just caught up with the last thread and it's "muscle" moment?
Easton Garcia
>Not like either of them will have any true effect on what's in the movies. In the comic Shattered Empire Luke begins building the Jedi temple that will appear in Episode 8.
