have you ever heard a cute chinese girl fart before?

Russia is potentially less dangerous than China, despite history. Russians despite not being white at least have to try to act white to justify their appearance, unlike the Chinese.

How is Mao viewed by chinese? Do you hate/love him? Do you think he was necessity? Are there any actual chinese on this general? Do diaspora(especially ones that never been to China or only been briefly) think that their opinion on China really matter?

In a way, /sino/ mirrors Chinese history. BTFO time and time again only to use some topic from the west as a talking point to keep people interested. Mao was the inevitable product of certain patterns of history.

I studied in China for year... Chairman Mao did some great things, he made some mistakes, but the fact he brought 90% of China under once centralized government was an amazing accomplishment in its own right, especially considering the predicament of the time. He was the first to lead a fully independent China in many decades. He began important projects like China's first wide-scale industrialization, improvement of women's conditions, overthrowing the landlords and so on. Unfortunately outside of China his reputation was blemished by two major mistakes. Regardless of your opinion of him, he was a Napoleon-esque military genius. He's not too dissimilar from China's own Zhu Yuanzhang, the leader of a peasant rebellion who overthrew the Mongols and established the Ming dynasty. How do former USSR people think of kindly uncle Joe?

If a chinese was born in the extreme propaganda period aka 1950s-1960s you either love him for no reason or you hate him for brainwashing you and bringing stupid shit like cultural revolution and some dumb reformation
For others, it's usually quite complex He's indeed got some crazy parts like Said and is able to lead shit army with literally army with old guns and swords to win roc (also due to japanese invasion), and is a guy who've promised a lot before he become chairman of united prc which made it sound like it's perfect to follow him, since roc didn't really give a shit about democracy, freedom and people's life back then since they're pretty much fascists Not to mention that he's the guy who's forced poor as fuck china to make nukes and barely functioning nearly fake satellites so usa or russia won't go for some extra land or something, which is pretty much why nk is making nukes now to imitate previous china However he's also remembered as the guy who have brought disasters and he's literally the worst politician ever in prc history (don't worry, there were shittier ones in chinese history), a huge disappointment for both people who followed prc and people ruled by prc
But people in prc saw how Stalin's death and saying shit about Stalin brought even more disasters for prc, and don't even mention that Mao is the first guy who made prc and ruled it
So do chinese hate him? They pretty much do but not as much as so called freedom fighters out there, but they'd think it's okay to leave him as it is, as it's not what he wanted (he wanted himself to be burnt to ash to prevent people to take revenge on his corpse, not made into dead dolls) and removing Mao will cause brainwashed ones to literally die and cause china to be unstable again because, well prc will lose their mandate of heaven or whatever it is that justifies their existence

what will you do when even India becomes less polluted than china
no, precious metals are terrible investments. even if you use them as temporary shelters they are unwieldy to store and expensive to liquidate.
Hunter Rivera
wrong, gold is the only safe store of wealth
Jeremiah Morgan
stocks and bonds are safe stores of wealth that increase in value over time. gold, especially physical gold is difficult to store, requires insurance to be kept safely and is difficult to liquidate. it also under-performs against stocks and bonds. if you put anything into gold that isn't jewelry, you've fallen for peter schiffs meme's.
Carter Reed
yeah ive got 20 ounces physical right now >stocks and bonds are safe stores of wealth you dumb nigger have you ever heard of 1928 or even 2008, dont even get me started on comex manipulation

Eli Morgan
if you spend 100% on cryptocurrency how are you able to spend more on real estate?

I only own 10 ounces, planning on buying more. on on a hardcore economic crisis where dollars have no value, silver will be used as currency.
John Wright
well friendo, like all investments, timing is very important. gold may yield better results then stocks if you buy and sell at the right times. but if you average out the data over 100 years, gold has tripled to quadrupled in value. meanwhile, the sp 500 would've returned 2073% and 118980% if you reinvested the dividends. both statistics adjusted for inflation.
Ryder Evans
yeah you buy stocks during a crash I agree, but anytime else hold physical PM's
Leo Rivera
stocks and bonds recover from periodic crashes. gold is simply stagnant. gold is up 27% in the last 30 years. sp500 is up 416% without dividends and 885% with dividends, that includes the 'crashes'.
Jayden Hall

What do you guys think of my katana? I was going to have the words "U R Fucked" engraved on the steel but the seller wouldn't let me.
Anthony Perez
maybe i should have spelt it fukked instead
Jacob Miller
you sure could. but that's what insurance is for, it's a gamble. you bet against the insurer that your house will burn down and the insurer is betting against that. what do you think the insurer does with all your money? put in gold? no, they invest it in stocks and bonds and use the dividends to periodically pay out the loss bets. and in the end they still make profit because the premiums you pay are mathematically in their favour over the cost of paying you out if there were a fire.
Hudson Cooper
it's like your house burns down the day right after you cancel your insurance.
coincidence???
i think not.
Hunter Clark
even if you believe in stocks instead of being a goldbug like me, you should have at least 5% of your portfolio in PM's as "fire insurance"
Joseph Gomez
gold as insurance for what though? total societal collapse? if i were to worry about that i'd be better off stocking MRE's and bullets.
Jacob Rivera
not a total collapse that warrants MREs and firearms, but a semi-collapse like 2008-2010 where gold went up to $3000+
Gavin Jenkins
>Chinese qt ignores you on 微信 for over a year >randomly sends you a message one day >"hi user~ are you marry yet?"

no thanks, the same way stocks and bonds can go bust, gold and precious metals can drastically drop in value as well. i mind as well pick the investment that has done far better historically, pays dividends, far more liquid and doesn't require insurance to safely store. gold is not a stable investment as some people perceive it to be.
Charles Torres
jesus those jewish econ professors have horribly brainwashed you. I bet you believe fiat money will work forever.
Camden Gonzalez
that's not an argument user, if you have a point to dispute, pick one from my comment. gold is shiny and nice to look at if you have it as jewelry. but as a investment or a hedge? no thanks i'll pass.
Ian Thomas
fug.
Nathaniel Walker
stocks are just pieces of paper, same with fiat money, whereas gold and silver have been used for literally 5000+ years of recorded history to settle payments.
Joshua Johnson
and how does your comment relate to my points? even though gold and precious metals have been in use for thousands of years as currency and as a store of wealth its value as a 'store of wealth' isn't stable and fluctuates the same way stocks and bonds do. i see no favorable advantages precious metals have over stocks and bonds, a relatively newer investment class.
i mean, in the scenario where technology is lost and we revert back to the medieval times, sure gold would be far better. but im not banking on that future for humanity, at least not in my lifetime.
Kayden Perez
the value of gold or silver will never be zero, unlike a stock. Even in the worst apocalyptic scenario gold has some value.
Jayden Robinson
gold and other precious metals are good generational investments but fiat & other "new age" stuff are more suited for quicker money
Jack James
a stock entitles you to the companies assets in the event of insolvency.
in the worst apocalyptic scenario gold has no value, who would trade goods that you need for survival for something you can't eat, defend yourself with, provide shelter, or even produce energy with? at least fiat can be used to wipe my ass with and burned to produce fire.
Jeremiah Cook
...
Jeremiah Clark
so why would people thousands of years trade gold if they couldn't eat it or build shelter with it?
Charles Rogers
youtube channel when?
Henry Ortiz
because they didn't live in the most apocalyptic scenario user. they were still a civilization that had governing powers that wanted trade of complex goods. gold acted as a medium of exchange for complex goods to facilitate their primitive economies. it worked at the time because technology at that time was primitive as well. we don't live in that era anymore user. horse and carts used to be the main mode of transportation for thousands of years and would be better in a medieval society, but i wouldn't invest in a cart and horse business over GM.

Pretty sure qing started relatively peaceful and by peaceful I mean only having wars that wasn't that horrible And nan song ended without mongols raping their butthole inside out, and it died peacefully relative to other ones that mongols conquered (Liao and west xia is not considered as china in this case) Jin also didn't get too much damage by wu during sanguo since they're just too op compared to wu Prc is still keeping hold of the record because they accidentally killed most after change of government Breaking record in terms of numbers and "accidentally killed" part, not exactly percentage though
