What Are The Odds?

What would happen if the entire world got together and ended all war. Instead every country aimed towards a sharred goal; civilation in space.

How long would it take before Mars was habitable?

Never will happen with Islam being as prevelant as it is, along with violent tribal blacks.

A few thousand million years

>he thinks common man cares more about an airless desert than the rewards from competing against other cultures
OP do you believe everything you're told?

Never gonna happen.
As long as people have lived and believed in something...
They have tried to push their beliefs onto others.
This often causes conflicts, which are inevitable without erasing everyone that thinks differently.

Mars is a pointless venture, it's pulling it's moon in albeit it has 10 million years, but if humanity wants to survive long-term we should pool our efforts into a habit that's at least sustainable and has a magnetic field.

Like things would be any different in space.

>How long would it take before Mars was habitable?

It isn't. There's no oxygen or water and It's fucking cold

MACHAALAH! NEVER FORGET THAT ALLAH IS SO POWERFUL HE STOPS THE WORLD. ALLAHO AKBAR YOU FILTHY KAFEER.

It's more likely for the Rapture to literally occur than for what OP described to happen.

At least the Rapture cannot be disproven as a possibility, unlike world peace with shitskins.

We'd just go to war with the people in space

We need a great cataclysm for this to ever happen such as being invaded by aliens or some shit and being forced to fight for the whole earth and not an individual nation or ideology.

It would literally be white people dragging the rest of the world along as dead weight.

So basically like how it already is.

>spics and niggers and mudslime working together in peace to colonize Mars
this is what blue-pilled newfags fantasize about

Fuck going and seeting up bases.

I want a Europa nuclear submarine livestreaming.

One big sub roaming around under the ice caps with a massive antenna, 10ish drone mini full hd subs and a drillantennarocketbot on the surface just chilling, transmitting to earth.

There could be aliens

BUILD

Considering only whites and Asians take space travel seriously, it would be faster to join together and genocide everyone else then use the resources they're currently wasting.

>ended all war

This is an absolute fallacy op, the only way all wars are ended is if all aggressors are dead.
Unfortunately, humanity being the wicked way it is, is really great at hiding that urge to destroy people and ideology they don't agree with.

>civilization in space

The biggest problem with this, is that it takes a monstrous amount of resources to get underway.
In the days of exploration humanity was able to cross great divides with relatively simple methods - sure challenges came about but human nature always adapts. Space, however, has an entirely new set of challenges to overcome.
On top of the resources required, there would also have to be the popular desire (wealth to sustain entire family lineages probably being number one) to go out into darkness and figure out how to adapt to myriads of new experiences.

>How long would it take before Mars was habitable?

That alone probably would never happen. Efforts would be focussed on building a ship capable of moving us to an already habitable planet.

Mars is pointless. To make it habitable we would need to bring endless amounts of water to it in order to even begin to create a breathable atmosphere. It would also just be blown away by the solar wind. The asteroid belt is probably a much better option. Lots of ice and valuable metals make colonies and factories on the asteroids not only profitable, but sustainable.

This.

>there would also have to be the popular desire (wealth to sustain entire family lineages probably being number one) to go out into darkness and figure out how to adapt to myriads of new experiences.

Only 1 of 2 reasons are required for that desire to come about. The first and foremost would be an unavoidable catastrophe threatening man on Earth that requires us to abandon ship. The second would have to be a lack of resources on this planet to sustain the population. The latter is the most likeliest thing to come about within the foreseeable future considering the massive population that's being brought about in places like Africa, Middle East and Asia. The sad thing is that projects like these are going to be steered by people with insane amount of influence over governments to the point where only a handful of the population would stand a chance to be saved, while the influence peddlers and the politicians are guaranteed a seat.
