this shit was so laughably cheesy, as was a good majority of the film. none of the grittiness and subtle class commentary of the original film (and books). everything had to be spelled out with pretentious dialogue and film student tier "look I just learned Mise-en-scène" tier shots for millennial audiences to comprehend. Such a sad step down form the original

it's as good as a nostalgia movie can be, which isn't saying much, but still. to appreciate it fully, i guess you have to be an oldfag now who first saw the first movie at a much younger age. at least it was well shot and edited and acted. it helped that i found the woman incredibly attractive too.
