I watched the pilot through s1e03. When does this shit get good? The only interesting part was the dream sequence. And cooper is an amusing character.... but that's not enough to redeem something that has the exact same flavor as the Young and the Restless. When I say exact same, I mean plots are same-ish, production quality is similar, complete with dramatic synth riffs.
The only reason that I can think of that this was a big hit is that the early 90s was virtually bereft of "dark" television. An ocean of formulaic sitcoms.
But I'm willing to accept that it *may* get better, that's why I've been so patient. So when does it pick up?
If there was more of the schizophrenic flavor of the dream sequence, it might turn out okay. And I'm counting on it, since I tend to like even the bad David Lynch projects.
