I made some Kat foot stuff yesterday.

...

With this and the robots there is some weird "Happy Slaves" thing going on, is tom a secret white supremacist.

Why is the porn for this always so fucked up?

based

Because I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

are you telling me you dont have a 2 gig folder of all the sick nasty Sup Forums porn and the countless fetishes developed here?

this comic is pure sex why isnt it as popular anymore, used to get alot more discussion and content here?

great work

So a three headed clone abomination of Kat kills the original & severs her feet to fulfill the twisted fetish born of her 3 part conjoined brain? She then slips into the role of Kat and no one is the wiser.

I was just going for motion blur, but sure, that sounds good.

Should I stream more gunnerkrigg today?

subverted the Uncle Tom theme, those kids don't give a shit about their human bodies they get to play in the ether with their strong human belief brains all the time, they clearly got the better end of the court's bargain

You silly whitey.
The ether is clearly a metaphor for drugs, holding down the black man.

Literally this whole chapter is look how lucky the Foley kids are, they get to send emails all day while tripping balls instead of dying in the woods, and also hey note this thing with Smitty it'll be important later

Anyone else think the way they play in the ether is very similar to the concepts of Lucid dreaming, or even shared dreaming?

I think the idea is about alien societies and thought process. There's no particular reason weird fairy creatures couldn't appreciate the rigor, bureaucracy, and purpose driven nature of the court, especially if they're leaving the forest because they don't particularly like how they work there. For reference, people who come from former Soviet Union countries, when they were part of it, tend to have pretty anti-Communist views, as one might expect, and they can be pretty extreme on that. Not universally, of course, but there's a certain way familiarity with a system tends to breed a specific form of contempt.

Also, compare it with what happened to bird kid. Pure old school fae rules. Only offhandedly says sure, but he still has to turn into a bird and live in a forest forever because of it.

It just runs into the same problem as the House Elves in Harry Potter. Yeah, if they're nonhuman, it's pretty reasonable that they might have a very alien on the whole perception of work and freedom and happiness. It just also tends to sound a lot like old excuses for slavery. "No no, they actually like being worked all the time and it's for their own good! Would you want to deprive them of their happiness?"

The forest people have always been a bit off, and the robots too. The robots are currently also having some secret religious revolution that'll probably be weird later and aren't uniformly okay with their lot (like the ship). The fairy kids, as that one user says, basically get to work and goof off at the same time because of their weird magical natures. We'll probably get some Foley kid bucking the trend to at some point. And this doesn't all mean that what's going on is actually totally alright either.

Gunnerkrigg is always about the nuance of a situation. This page is basically a retread of what Paz told Kat about the court.

what the fuck is wrong with you
get that shit off here

Because there's only very few drawfags interested in this comic and Imaa is fuk'd up.

In contrast with say DOA getting some nice fanarts despite being waay shittier comic

In other words, they make it through their jobs the same way people who work in offices do: with a rich, fantasy life.

For the fairies and animals, it seems to be pretty much a non-issue, in that all the downsides that would usually accompany the work they're being given are not even there for them. Getting names, personal belongings, and a purpose seems to be a big thing for them.

If there's any downside at all to their having coming to the court, it's not the work they're given.

How do you pronounce

>pronounce

It's like all that drama with Bunny having to become a boy. Smitty was the one who brought it up and she said she didn't care. what little animals have of 'gender identity' is probably thrown out the window when they're having their soul stuffed into a completely different species.

That'd good ol' Uncle Tom's logic there.

Is there even a story anymore? It's like it hit the brakes after that ghost lady near the river and everything since then has been just fucking about in the court or the forest.

>"I'm too stupid to realize that I'm reading a slice of life series."
Please either stop being an idiot, or go away.

Unless I remember it wrong, it started as "supernatural adventures in not-hogwarts", not "kawaii lesbo fuckfest 2000"

And the adventures were about getting to know assorted weird supernatural critters, which is happening right now.

You're remembering it wrong. It was always a slice of life comic that only occasionally had an ongoing plot.

Get help or get out.

Is she turning into an endtown mutie?

Kat used to be a avianphile mad scientist with crushes on older men(Skinner from X-Files/Muut/Eglamore/etc), she was a really fun character, then she was made a lesbian and that became her main characteristic which then brought in a ton of new tumblrina "fans" who only wanted to talk about lesbians, the old fans who had been making new threads every week for years got tired of it and left.

Also a lot of the most popular characters like Rey or Zimmy either don't show up as much or they've changed and they're not as fun anymore.

Why do you think he hates Birmingham?

the plot doesn't go anywhere. Ever. I stopped reading at like chapter 52, when they STILL hadn't made any progress on the bitch in the river. This is a problem with almost all webcomics; they're in dire need of a project manager to slap their shit every time they go off on a wild side tangent, so they can have something resembling pacing.

It's sad, because this was one of the ones I thought had potential, but it's basically aiming to be the fantasy/urban equivalent of questionable content: a money farm that never changes, evolves, or worst of all, ends.

I loved Kat before she got lesbianized, but I love her even more now.
