So, what do we discuss right now?

Why Jojo is literally worse than Steven Universe

I'll finish up the mall later tonight, so demons for when they get to HR would be appreciated.
As well as their powers and whatever Chernabog's stand is.

That would all be useful information to have.

Only a couple of Stands got submitted after Reviewfag's last round, so here they are:

I'd rather discuss plot instead.

So, anyway, who is in HR? We should figure that out since it's technically part of the mall. Reminder, our current demons are
>Chernabog
>Def Leppard
>Blackheart
>Guy from Jimmy Two-Shoes (Malatov or something?)

We need 2~3 more. I'd say Buff Frog could be in, but I dunno.

Submit some characters to fill out Human Resources, I guess.
Otherwise, um, movesets for Daffy and other game characters? Sure.
I brought up some of the demons from Sandman/Lucifer a while back: Choronzon, Azazel (a different one), Lys, Seviram, Musubi. Choronzon and Seviram would probably be most appropriate in the soul-crushing nightmare that's HR.

How about Catbert? Being the head dick of HR was his shtick in series.

We've already got Dogbert working for the WB. Adding Catbert might be overdoing it.

Dogbert with a Stand resembling Catbert, then?

Question: By which type of move set do we go? Or rather: which buttons for what to do? I am sadly not familiar with fighting games that much.

Ok, here we go. Activating the stand is the usual.

>All of Daffy's moves hit hard at close range. His clones can walk forward a bit and perform distinct attacks. He can upgrade his stand from Act 1 to 2.

SPECIALS

>[Literally Me]: Daffy sends out a mini clone of himself to perform a certain attack, depending on which button is pressed, similar to Fukua and Sion Tatari. P does a forward slash, S does a Shoryu, H does a Power Dunk-like move. 214+P/S/H Doing so will deplete his 2nd Stand Meter, used to upgrade from Act 1 to 2.

>HOO!: Daffy rushes out and hits his opponent with a rekka attack. 623+P

>Shadow Punch: Daffy's stand turns into a fist that slams his opponent into the ground . 41236+H

>[LA Cucaracha]: Daffy's punch rushes his opponent. Close range move. Act 2 version can move forward. 236+P

SUPERS

>Listen: Daffy screams and the words "LA CUCARACHA!" fly at his opponent as a projectile. 236236+P

>HOOHOOHOO: Daffy kicks his opponent, and then zips up and down the stage, each time striking them. 214214+K

>[CAROLINA IN THE MORNING]: Daffy teleports his opponent into his fictional realm, and while he sings, they take a massive amount of damage. Close range move. 1632143+PK

I'm not digging through all of your autism to find out if it's been done before, but since I scrolled past this thing and I'd had a thought about one recently, what the fuck.
Us Folks with his stand Those Fuckers.

Give it up, Sup Forums. You have neither Sup Forums's love and knowledge of the franchise nor /tg/'s dedication.

Not happening anytime soon, m8. Sup Forums's shit streak of not completing a project has to break sometime

We're using the Guilty Gear/Arc System works layout. That would be
>Punch
>Kick
>Slash
>Hard Slash
>Dust

>/tg/
>Dedication
"/tg/ gets shit done" is a baseless meme.

Why would we give up over halfway in?

Could work. Have him flee the fight and come back for the tower.

And the numbers? What are they?

Update about the game's sprites from the user that did the backgrounds and is currently coding the game.

Very good user, can you help us create an actual game using those sprites? We really aprecciate what you're doing right now. Also, do you have any tips for me, since I'm not as good as you in sprite-making, maybe just help me with my Hank sprite.

What did you mean by this, user?

>Submit some characters to fill out Human Resources
I could see someone from Ugly Americans working there.

That having 5 sprite Fighters That Look great Is Better Than 21 uneven fighters

It means, as time consuming as it is, we can't just lazily make sprites in flash. That'll make us look, well, lame. Lamer than usual.

We need to put time, effort, and love into this game. It has to be fantastic.

Numeric notation. Each number is a different position of the joystick. Moving the joystick in a certain direction in a single movement performs these moves. For example, a 236P would be a quarter circle forward(Hadouken) wheras a 1632143 would be a pretzel(Raging Storm).

If you want to get into fighting games, I'd recommend
>Street Fighter 2: Super Turbo
>The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match
>Guilty Gear AC
Looks like Hank is next on the moveset to do list, huh.

Ah. Thanks! Shall think on moveset for Taffy now.

Samuel "Samy" Garvin from Jimmy Two-Shoes.

Why is it so hard for you guys to just go look up his name when making these lists?

My impression of HR so far is pretty much the Nightosphere. Is that accurate? Because all the soul crushing stuff we keep talking about just keeps reminding me of the Nightosphere.

Endless lines, an insane boss, torture without reason, a sense of hopelessness. The only difference so far is that it's full of cubicals.

>Implying having a little of both isn't better than just having only one and thus, not being capable of doing it

Was this supposed to let us down, Sup Forumsnon?

I thought it'd look more like Sam and Max's version of hell.

I can see Hank as more of a charge character Like Leona or Guile, rather than circles.

How is this shit still going?

Autism is a powerful thing.

>Posting with a pic of SU

Oh wow.

It is destiny.

We will not stop until we're done.

And hell, we still got 3 more Parts to do!

>that JUST hair

every time

Well, here's the Stand for one of the big guys in legal, I was going to give it a Barry White's song/album for name, but can't pick a good/fitting one:

Appearance: A vaguely humanoid Stand composed of a translucent slime wearing armbands, bracers, collars, belts, etc. (Like pic related)
Abilities: A wearable Stand that can be placed in both allies and enemies. Once placed, the wearer immediately gains a hardened hide that increases his defense and is also slippery (the wearer looks like Dexter in the episode where he laminates himself). Additionally, the Stand user can manipulate the density of the wearer, making him either very heavy or extremely light. This ability allows the user to hinder an enemy or increase an ally’s strength, or making an ally very agile.
Stats:
Power: ?
Speed: C
Durability: A
Range: C
Precision: C
Potential: B
Due to the Stand's nature, the user could say something about "getting his lube/lotion"

It could be Twayne, He's the only one that's scum enough to end up in HR. I see Callie's dad as the Satan before Red Guy.

>1632143
Jesus! and I was having a hard time trying to play Melty Blood.

Well. Here it is.

>Taffy's stand is already out at the start, but can be broken, leaving Taffy with weak attacks. Plus, all of his attacks are projectiles.

by doing them in a quick succession, they are done twice, at the same time.Twice takes a portion of special, along with special attacks, so a need of singular attacks persists.
SPECIALS:
>147+PK= A barrage of cheesy bullets
>695+SH= [NOM NOM], A massive cheese fist
[I DON'T WANT] >1379KSH or 2468PKD =Depending on it, Taffy turns the ground into grilling cheese, making it a hazard zone, or grabs the opponent, shaking him with a giant cheese hand, before smacking him against a cheesy wall.

SUPERS:

>A BUNCH OF MAD SCIENTISTS 157423PP= A controllable cloud that rains cheese on opponent, hurting him.
>OLD CHEESE MAKER 284613795PK Removes one of the basic attacks, turning a random body part of the opponent to cheese for a few seconds.

Tweaks, anyone?

Where do I even begin
>Stand is always out
Ok, makes sense. Heritage itself had passive stands.
>All of his attacks are projectiles
Even normal button presses? That seems kind of unbalanced.
Guilty gear specials usually are not the same on multiple buttons unless they happen to be different from each other, such as Sol Badguy's Ground Flame/Fake and Volcanic Viper.
>Dust motions
This is also a no, as the dust button is mainly used to knock opponents into the air for combos.
>Supers
Not only are they unconventional as fuck, they're almost impossible on keyboard, specifically the last one.
The moves themselves are fine, it's just that the inputs aren't. It needs work before it can go into the doc.

Also, use this as a reference to study up from
dustloop.com/guides/ggac/index.html

Alright. Will do after I sleep.

Has Harvey Birdman been included?
I'm asking before I sperg so I don't waste time and space

Fug
didnt mean to reply

I don't think so, but he wouldn't work with the other lawyers I don't think, if that's what you're suggesting.

Handsome as he is he isn't really bara enough to be a porn star lawyer. Although he could be part of part 8's stone men.

Understandable.
Then how about mentok?

As a proud resident of /tg/, you're talking nonsense.

That's probably a closer visual representation to what we're going for I guess.

>Jojo
>Worse than Lesbian Rocks The Show

...

Some silly suggestion.

User: Professor Membrane
Stand Name: 「SMOOTH OPERATOR」
Appearance: It just looks like Membrane even to the point that wears the same type of lab coat, but is composed of a metallic body that makes him seen a robotic copy of his user, is exaggerately tall and its limbs are springs that allow it to reach whatever it wants to touch.
Ability: 「SMOOTH OPERATOR」 can absorb electricity from objects and then transfer it to other objects, allowing said objects to be used until the obtained electric energy fades out. 「SMOOTH OPERATOR」 can also use the electricity that it absorbs to generate electric shields that protects the user from enemy attacks. The user can summon those shields as long as he likes, though this ability is unavaible when the Stand has transfer the electricity to another thing.
The Stand's ability is more supportive than destructive, though Membrane can use the electric shields as an offensive attack by approaching the shields into his opponent.

Destructive Power B
Speed A
Range C
Durability B
Precision A
Developmental Potential B

As for what arc the character could be placed, I guess either in 6, 7 or 8 is just fine. 5 is already crowded with scientist types and Invader Zim reps.

Sounds good, he poses as a normal attorney (Harvey Birdman), but when the Stone people/Ancient toons/Barberas/whatever start attacking, he reveals that he's the classic Birdman.

Janis Joplin has a show? oh, you mean Tumblrina The Animation

He could be the scientist that tinkers with the ancient prison's mechanisms to further advance the Warden's plan.

What about 「MELLOW MOOD」 or 「SUPER LOVER」?

If Gaz is still in part 6, and Professor Membrane ends up working for The Warden, would it be that The Warden is holding Professor Membrane's daughter hostage to get him to work? Or did he take the job to keep an eye on his daughter in the prison? Or does he even know she's there?

Gaz is a guard in the prison now I believe? We switched her with Vicky.

She could be living there while her father works for the Warden though. Sorta like Emporio.

I would like to see him in, he's always a pretty fun and easy-to-fit character and his Stand is good enough.

In a few threads back, it was suggested that Gaz switched places with Vicky so the former would be a guard whereas the latter would be a prisoner, since a couple of people don't like the idea of Gaz being a prisoner/gang leader.

It could be the inverse of that case, as it is Membrane that is being hold hostage by the Warden and the Warden is manipulating Gaz to work for her in exchange of her father being free. Gaz can't pull a fight anyway since Castle of Glass is not strong against Pure Imagination. In the other hand, the Warden forces Membrane to work for him by threatening to "accidently" send Gaz to work in the ward where the prisoners arrested for sexual crimes are being placed.

This is a good option too. The Membranes are just employers of Superjail as the Warden convinced Membrane that the world needs a prison to lock up dangerous Stand users so he can work for the Warden willingly, while Gaz occupies her time as a guard with the promise she will get new games and pizza if she does her job.

About Part 5, I have a couple of ideas for Ms. Bitters' power, though I'll keep them until the plots reaches the Looniversity setting.

Is Crocker still in? He's listed as an ally.

No, I don't think so.

His stand was repurposed for one of the Crust cousins.

Then we can reuse him as one of the scientists that discusses Danger Duck's current state (He spasms when saying LITERALLY).

>Spasms when saying LITERALLY

>Oh fuck

>M.E. Leterally returneth

The giant demon's glare is upon the UR, they are nearly to the center of the mall now. All that stands between them and the demon is a door labeled "mall security". Cartman is getting impatient asking aloud what they're just standing around for, he decides to go forward and is quickly pulled back by Rolf as a laser shoots out of one of the many severance cameras around this part of the mall.

Sergeant Slab Rankle comes over the intercom again saying how they'll now have to defeat his stand, (name please), if they ever want to meet his boss. Dexter sends out of the robot he captured earlier, it doesn't even make it half way to the door before being blown to pieces.

Dexter notes the position of all the cameras, he's already formulating a plan. He asks the other rangers to keep the cameras focused on them while he does his task. The rangers begin trying to take out the cameras, Toph is throwing glass daggers at them, Taffy is throwing cheese, but it all gets blasted by one camera or another before any of it can reach their targets, it's quite the defense array. Squidward is dancing through the lasers, he jumps, he twirls, but none of the cameras ever shoot their fellow cameras. Rolf and Cartman aren't much help here, they're trying to edge their way closer to the door, taking cover behind trashcans and planters. They don't get very far until the cameras start shooting at them too.

Just as it seems all of the UR are trapped in the middle of this laser light show, the power kicks off. Dexter had the others keep all the eyes on them while he went for one of the breakers to cut the problem off at its source. There's now nothing between the UR and Slab but a normal door. They regroup and ready themselves for another round with the man.

Slab opens the door himself, he looks imposing, but then gives the UR a salute, praising their tenacity for overcoming everything he had to throw at them.
cont.

He had rearranged the mall so they had to go through that stand gauntlet, but he now admits defeat. He offers them a place at the mall where they could rein like kings and have all the snack they want, but the UR decline (after Toph kicks Cartman who seemed to think about it). Slab then steps aside and lets the UR proceed through his security office to the other side where Chernabog looms.

The UR proceed down a hallway that seems to be carved out of solid rock until they reach an opening, they are now in the center of the mall, eye to waist with Chernabog. Cartman gets pissed again and says he didn't come all this way just to stare at a demon's giant junk. Toph is facing kind of to the side of Chernabog and (please, someone give me a blind joke, I'm coming up dry here).

Chernabog descends into the crater and is now giant eye to body with the UR.

He does that thing that's already in the doc and now we're heading into HR, so someone give me what we're working with down there.

Rankle's Stand is [PRIVATE LIFE], I'm not sure about which version of Chernabog's Stand we are going to use, there is like 2-3 potential candidates

Well hi stand still doesn't come into play for a bit. Currently we have this next in the doc.

>They finally come face-to-face with Chernabog
>"YOU WILL NEVER CATCH ME! I’M GOING TO WHERE NO HUMAN HAS A PLACE, WHERE THE DEVILS ARE TO RUN FREE!"
>*slams human resources door* (the door itself is comically small compared to Chernabog, it is also located at the base of the crater-like structure since the store is volcano shaped)
>Rolf just looks that the other Urban Rangers with a blank expression before throwing up his hands and smiling
>"Well, it appears our journey has been completed! Good day to all of you!"
>Tries to bail before Toph drags him back over
>Chernabog is in charge of Human Resources. No one thinks too hard about this because Human resources is hell
>Dexter writes it off as companies going into a new trend of digging the demonic aesthetic and hiring demons for higher positions,
>"Last year it was jews. Deez year itz demonz."

>There are no windows there, you can't even tell what time of day it is, all the clocks contradict each other so you never know when your shift is up.
>It's rows and rows of cubicles with damned souls taking phone calls. Don't ever answer a phone while down there.
>It's like a thought milking factory that feeds Telephone Avatar, and it is one of many, though this is the only one with the honor of having a demon overseer.
>It grates on the UR as they try to make their way through the bleakness until Dexter finds the server room
>Dexter has to hack his way into their system (in many senses of the word since the server room is overgrown with cables) while the other Urban Rangers fend off the water cooler crowd.

>Fight against the demons of HR goes here.

I'm not sure how we're doing these fights.

Bump.

If we are using the lifeforce harvesting/demon making Stand, Chernabog is probably hiding in the back of HR while the UR clears the building and absorbs his minions' lifeforce to power his Stand. Not sure if Dexter faces something while getting to the WB database.

He faces a tangled mess of wires and probably thick layers of dust.

The computers are probably also made to suffer in HR.

So should the demons just rush the UR all at once and then realize break is ending and make a mad dash back to their cubicals. I think that would piss off Chernabog enough to fight the UR himself.

maybe they face a horde of demons/damned souls first, then lunch break is over and Chernabog orders a specific group of demons to stop them under the threat of firing them/promise of PROMOTION.

Alright, so at first it's just the atmosphere that drains on them. Then, after Dexter has gotten to work, the lunch rush starts and they have to avoid getting trampled (I think we need to down play the soul business so the UR still don't catch on about the WB being in bed with the devil). Once that's gone by, the demons with stands are sent in.

Should there be some kind of apathy field in HR? Something only those with purpose can overcome?

Well I don't want to do HR by myself, so maybe there will be some new ideas in the thread by the next time I look at it.

Well, it's human resources after all. It will be funny if is not a supernatural thing but something that naturally comes with working in HR.

We're concerned, you're a threat, you're not integral, to the project.

"This is LITER-AL-LY and unknown condition...it must be the work of FAIRY GOD PARENTS!"

That's pretty great.
Issue is... you need an insane number of sprites for a fighting game. Like, hundreds per character. I think your vector "sprites" would be better for it, because as much as I'd like to, I do not have the time nor the patience to create full spritesheets for multiple characters.
To be honest, your art looks fine. It's not ideal, but it looks like the characters, and it'll work for the gameplay. You should keep that up.

"Shut the fuck up, Crocker."

you know what would ramp up the feels during the Chernobog fight. On his desk is billboard sized photo of Maleficent and a "#1 dad mug"

youtube.com/watch?v=puFKPPftM5g
Count Spankulots and [Nasty Habits]?

Just to clarify, the Count appears in Part 6 in the solitary confinement section of Superjail because...well...the rest of the prisoners DO have some standards. Also the Warden doesn't move in his typical fluid style after he finds out why they are bringing in the Count.

I wanted to bring up the idea of having a sort of SUPERMAX area of the prison containing all of the Stand users who just can't be allowed to mix with general company due to their powers. It'd be our version of the Solitary Arc.

>Guilty Gear/Arc System
>not good ol' Heritage for the Future
Care to explain why?

So who's going to be the replacing party member since Gaz is a guard now? I don't see Vicky taking up the spot since she'll likely be a supermax inmate with that OP and brutish stand of hers.

Here's my idea for Choronzon.
User: Choronzon, (former) Duke of the Eighth Circle
Stand: [GUESSING GAMES]
Ability: When Choronzon encounters a Stand user's abilities, if he describes an ability that would let him "counter" the opponent's power, [GUESSING GAMES] will be granted the counter-ability. However, the other Stand user will be able to come up with a counter of their own, which Choronzon will be able to counter himself, and so forth. If Choronzon hesitates too long, fails to come up with a counter, or describes a power too far above the level of his opponent, his Stand will disappear for an hour, leaving him vulnerable.
>Example: Choronzon fights Toph, who attacks him with glass shards. Choronzon comments on how it's useful that he can revert the glass she's fighting with to the silica it was formed from, and does so. Toph muses on how it would be good if she could control metal as well as glass, and then realises that she can, et cetera, et cetera.

Choronzon from The Sandman, right?

The very same. The Stand's based on the game he plays with Dream, of course.

user, please. Just because the majority of the characters are waifus doesn't mean we should be subjecting them to arcane fetishes.

...However this is an ok sort of idea, albeit I was going to suggest we merge the Solitary arc and the Dio's sons arc and have other children of Daffy be locked up deep in the confines of Superjail, only released when Warden sees something truly threatening.

Penny I believe.

The Kinks seems different enough to keep.

Idea: the Super PAC that got Nobody elected is called the Stonecutters PAC, and consists mostly of Simpsons characters.
>Stonecutter leader
>Hank Scorpio
>Mr Burns, who survived the events of part 4
>Aristotle Amadopolis
>Russ Cargill
>Seymour Skinner (in actuality Armin Tamzarian, who took on Skinner's identity and stand after selling his soul to the WB)
>The water cooler from the Springfield Republican Party

Decent idea, but we should try and vary the characters so they aren't all from the same show.

Probably. I figured it'd be okay because the PAC likely won't show up outside of flashbacks, but I'd be fine with cutting, say, Amadopolis, Cargill and/or Burns.
I also kinda wanted to use the Martian Stonecutter but I thought that might be overdoing it.

If we're going to use Penny, at least cut the bullshit with her calling for quits because that character from The Modifyers got killed.

The Modifyers girl got cut from the plot threads ago. If she appears, it'll be a mostly unrelated cameo at best. Her death has no effect on Penny, who basically fills in for her as a spy, but is actually a good guy.

Nah, Penny's just going to be Interpol's "official" oversight into the prison. I've got plans for a deep cover agent to get into the real dirty shit.

Ok that's covered.

Will she look like this by any chance?
the-collection.booru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=818
And will her stand gain a new act or even a Remastered version?

I think we should limit Remastered stands to the ones we have now. Mongonucleosis to set up their existence, Secret Doors to give Rolf a combat advantage in the final battle, and Wayward Son for the ultimate showdown.
That said: if we want a new name for Acts like we have for Requiem Stands, how about "Episodes"?

We never saw Requiems beyond part 5, so part 6 probably shouldn't have any also.

Should we go with Leppard first since her Stand's the only one that's really finished?

Well, they weren't out and out Requiem states but there seemed to be a lot of Stand evolution on par with such, Pucci, Weather Report, and Johnny come to mind.

May I remind you that we have stands in part 2 where Araki JoJo doesn't.

We don't have to be exact 1:1 to JoJo in everything, regardless of how Sup Forums keeps sperging out over this.

Arcs aren't really Requiems, more like "stand evolutions". A Requiem is almost a new stand entirely, based on the prior one, an arc just builds onto the stands natural abilities.

C-Moon is more of a Requiem than Tusk Act 4 and Ehoes Act 3, but the principal is different. Pucci "inherited" C-Moon after preforming the ritual, then bullshit made it turn into Made In Heaven. He was just basically making his own stands out of scratch to become a god, rather than arrow bullshit because that's unpredictable as fuck.

And Heavy Weather isn't an evolution nor any form of upgrade, it has always been an ability Weather Report had, he just never realized it.
