Pretty much all his films are criminally underrated besides 300. He puts in ten times the work of a regular CBM director.

I enjoyed it, especially the new setting and context, which reminded me of What Time is it There? but it was more impersonal than Right Now, Wrong then. I also had problems with drastic change in pacing between the first 100 minutes compared to the last 40. Right Now, Wrong Then keeps the consistency going even with a contrasting perspective.

Shit I forgot about this. What a disappointment it turned out to be, especially with the talented cinematographer and interesting concept.

I've seen it wildly overrated by younger film critics and leftie film critics.
Also read at least two pieces defending it as his best. It's definitely the one that that would be most put in "underrated" today.

unironically this

Snyder is a better director than anyone Marvel Studios has ever hired by a longshot, but it's still a little embarrassing to put him in the company of actual great directors. He's okay.

Yeah for Disney it's a bunch of executives doing market tests. MCU is anti-art. Art requires artists by definition. It's more akin to McDonald's.

I rate Wild at Heart pretty highly, but I think you're the first person I've ever seen call it his best.

Don't recognize them? Don't worry, the editors only make or break a film but you wouldn't know that since you have such a low cinematic IQ.

Should I even get started on the acting talent?

All of Lynch's work except Dune is pretty consistent on a quality level. In my opinion most of his films are his best films. Wild at Heart is just my favorite.

None of his films are bad enough to be called "worst" and none of his films are overrated. Maybe 2001 has a bit too much presence with the hipsters but overrated is a term I generally dislike. And yes motherfucker of course I'm a Kubrick fanboy.

This is one of the most embarrassing posts I've read in a long time. I seriously hope you just copied and pasted a list of random people who had worked on the MCU, because if you genuinely think that there's significant value in the work done by Russell Carpenter or Zak Penn, you should not be on a film board.

Space Odyssey was the first film to have a chocolate bar beamed directly into it and then you could even take the chocolate bar out of your television set.

It works by sending lots of little particles whizzing over your head and through the airspace.

really makes you think

I don't want to say that's a cheap shot, but that's a cheap shot user. Kind of like counting Sugarland Express in Spielberg's movies. Sure, you're probably right, but it's not from the films that made up the main bulk of his career.
