>Protagonist and antagonist >None of them are bad or evil >There is no misundertanding, They know each other intentions >Both of them are looking the best for the galaxy, not just their people
There is a Sup Forums related series that uses this trope. I haven't seen something similar in western tv, maybe 3 kingdoms. Pic related, co has failed me.
Jeremiah Richardson
I think the Japanese army as a whole did tons of evil shit in WWII, but maybe you could watch Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers/Letters from Iwo Jima back to back.
Leo Long
Those where about people fighting for their own country. I'm looking for a series with good protagonist who doesn't fight because they are forced or there is a misunderstanding.
Nathan Martinez
Out 1: Noli Me Tangere
Not a tv series, but is a film 13 hrs long.
Leo Thompson
logh is perfect material for several seasons of amazing tv
Hudson Moore
I like how Wen Li didn't want to fight at any part but was forced to, and how Reinhart just wanted to conquer everything, but Wen Li was still the better general.
Cooper Rogers
Is netflix gonna do it? It has the multicultural democracy and evil white prussians going on.
Julian Clark
it gets dumb towards the end
>yang gang pulling off cheesy bullshit constantly >reuentall mini civil war condensed to like five episodes >jullian shitting everything up and being overpowered >kezan and earth cultists getting easily dismissed >crown prince handwaved as being dead the whole time
why even open all these plotlines just to bring them to retarded ends
Caleb James
the only thing i would agree with being handled poorly was the earth cult's ending, they were constantly tipped as being some huge threat behind the scenes then they just kill oberstein and then they all get shot, pretty dissapointing
maybe the reuental arc could have used a few more episodes but he was my favorite character and that arc is my favorite part of the whole show so i dunno

The first two seasons are near perfect, it starts to get dumb towards the end of season 2 and past that things start to get spaghetti. I dislike all the war porn because the actual fighting in space isn't the interesting part but the different desires of the people involved in the war is.

word, one of the few animus that aren't garbage, filled with tropes, designed for children, etc. would encourage anyone to watch.

13 hours Boy, at that point better do a miniserie or a saga
Kevin Sullivan

While I love the anime, they would ruin it if it were made in live action. It would be dumbed down and they would force more female characters. Would turn to shit like game of thrones did

In all honesty Unit 731 only killed chinks, russians and some from netherlands. Pearl Harbor was only about sinking boats, Nanking never happend and confort women were paid prostitutes.
Justin Perez
Took me three years to chew through this Space Opera
Its fantastic, but also slow and prime sleeping powder
Jack Cooper

bakabt nigger you should watch the laser disc rips anyways as they have none of the horribly done restoration animation.

>Schenkopp
God I hate that traitor scum
Evan Richardson
This one always gets me. Fuck.
Christopher Jones
all the bad guys are sort of cartoonish though. the fights are really good, i wish they were worked into the story more though, a lot of the non action is not interesting.
Joshua Jones
The Wire is literally LOGH, just replace FPA and GE with cops and criminals.
Joseph Anderson
>Nanking never happened
David Bailey
LOGH is patrician
Hunter Sanders
>the only thing i would agree with being handled poorly was the earth cult's ending, they were constantly tipped as being some huge threat behind the scenes then they just kill oberstein and then they all get shot, pretty dissapointing
I liked that; it felt like something that could happen historically. One of those truth being stranger than fiction kind of things that makes the world of LOGH feel real
Lucas Peterson
LOGH is utter shit especially if compared to the wire
Grayson Jenkins
It's the best anime ever made.
Jace Perez
>a lot of the non action is not interesting The political discussions about Democracy vs. a benevolent dictatorship are the best aspect of the show
Angel Campbell
Elaborate, you fuck.
Parker Russell
Not to mention all those small moments where characters converse and talk about various shit.
James Young
that's not kemonozume

Kemonozume is among Yuasa's weakest titles and even his strongest isn't a match for LOGH. Non meme answer now, please.

Christopher Robinson
You just described Better Call Saul
Benjamin Long
it's easily his best only plebs think otherwise Kemonozume > Kaiba > Tatami Galaxy > Ping Pong > Mind Game
Bentley Clark
Lame anime.
Xavier Peterson
there aren't really any other shows that deal with political theory so that's good, but i also still found it a little uninspired.
Eli Morgan
Kaiba > TG > PP > MG > Kemonozume
I won't deny it's visually interesting, but it falls apart half way through and it's visible they didn't know what to do with it by the end of it.
Why did you find it a little uninspired?
Brody Martinez
It's a more likely interpretation of space battles than pretty much any other sci fi show out there.
Brayden Sullivan
it's extremely superficial the wire makes an effort to explain why society is that way, while logh shows a world copypasted from a romanticised pseudo-historical viewpoint this is obvious from the battles fought that look like something from alexander the great the only thing that we learn about the world is there was that competent hitler emperor and from an educational video Julian watches that and some silly questions like democracy vs dictatorships lmao questions like what the causes are for the development of humanity and why it has stagnated despite reaching the stars and making amazing technologiacal developments are never addressed
Xavier Thomas
go back to attack on titan you fucking pleb
Hunter Lopez
Literally everything was planned before hand, you just basically admitted you didn't understand it, opinion discarded.
Andrew Turner
Lol he attacks me by accusing me of watching another lame anime
Fucking weebs are disgusting
Josiah Sanders
>Protagonist and antagonist
What? There are 2 main protagonists. Neither Yang Wenli nor Reinhard are "the" antagonist.
Daniel Roberts
If i ever start writing that way i would shoot myself
Dominic Morales
>Why did you find it a little uninspired? like i said, i thought the action was really entertaining especially with the classical music selection. the animation and strategy of the battles was my favourite part. Second, some of the scheming and political strategy was good, but after the first season I lost interest and it felt wayward... just didn't have a personal connection to the characters i suppose. I didn't really see what the stakes were, why the outcome would matter.
Ethan Stewart
The Empire isn't portrayed as any more evil than the FPA. If you think it is, that's your own bias viewing it.
Justin Torres
>democracy vs dictatorships lmao I'll give you the sci-fi aspect (it's explained in the books, but we're not talking about them atm), but the political aspect was great. Showed both sides with their flaws and weaknesses, including both political systems. The strategies were a little simplified for the show and the cult wasn't utilized as well as it could have been, but the show truly excels in it's characters, dialogue and character interactions in general. It's closest we're going to get to War And Peace (taking those + 7 hours long Russian ones aside).
>le you didn't get it nice one
Julian Wood
Space Hitler did nothing wrong
Eli Thompson
i'd kill myself too if i had something like space to write about and treated it like a civil war battle
Mason Smith

Earth cult and phezan were always small time, they were just terrorists or opportunists. Shit like Yang getting killed by some no name terrorist happens throughout history.
Elijah Russell
Nah, Rubinsky was essentially the lex luthor of this show. Great Villain
Evan Baker
Both factions kind of fade away after so many episodes of build up, might be realistic but it was still disappointing
Jace Rodriguez
Yeah, he just should take some fighters and tell them to shoot the weak point of odin fortress
Thomas Rogers
Weak shit
Grayson Campbell
Man, I gotta get back to watching this show. I watched the first 18 or so episodes and liked it, but just randomly stopped for no reason.
Luke Wood
The show has some of the best and most moving death scenes In any tv show or movie Ive ever seen
Carson Edwards
So was Reinhard gay for Kircheis? I mean the words "if only Kircheis was here" are said by him a lot.

yeah dude its totally gay to feel sad about losing your best friend.

Yes, it was based in Alexander the Great's homosexual affairs, but Japan will not go that homosexual in an anime.
Joshua Perez
one of the best episodes
Isaac Ward
Ironically LoTGH's biggest problem stems from both parties being basically the same. Nobody REALLY has bad intentions, and neither of the 2 parties are better systems, so the worst things they cause tends to be the deaths of millions of troops, but there's no other consequences to their wars. We know that what happens in the battles are horrible, granted, but ultimately there's no real tension in the heart of the story. It's not like in Three Kingdoms where you have the whole drama about righteous succession, tradition, opportunism and clash of morals. It's still a great show but at the very least the author should have gone ahead and make it clear that some of the cast were destroying civilian lives as well.
>yang gang pulling off cheesy bullshit constantly They have to, they're too few compared to the Imperial gang. >reuentall mini civil war condensed to like five episodes Eh, I thought the rhythm was good, but in hindsight I'd rather have 20 episodes of Reuenthal civil war than EARTH CULT LMAO >jullian shitting everything up and being overpowered Julian is this show's second greatest problem. Fuck, his arc is just so dumb. And unnecessary. >kezan and earth cultists getting easily dismissed Not sure. Phezzan was always there in the background for a long time, and it took a good deal of the show to get the story resolved. Earth Cult wasn't that strong, I mean they're like ISIS. ISIS can be rekt in like a week if literally everyone that's involved in the region stopped fucking around because MUH INTERESTS. With that being said Earth Cult really sucked. >crown prince handwaved as being dead the whole time Is that even that important?
Alexander Powell
yeah, kircheis knew but didn't return the feelings though, which is why he pussyfooted around getting together with reinhard's sister
John Morris
Bakabt went fully private a couple months than ago. And any accounts that were inactive for several months were deleted. Fucking sucks cause I'm just now getting back into anime.
