X-men

Is there any possible explanation as to why young Magneto's power level is so much higher than old Magneto?

Because one's mental capacity declines in old age whether you have the dementia gene or not.

He's young. The mental and physical strain are easier to deal with then when he's old. That and the timeline got fucked up

It's a different timeline

He got weaker in old age, sort of like how men get weaker when they get older.

Yes, lots. We're talking about someone who has direct control over one of the four fundamental forces of the universe through no appreciable means.

Not drastically. A lot of what's observable is likely compounded by other factors like alcohol use, lack of routine in retirement, and so on.

There's no real reason why we should lose mental capacity drastically without dementia or other factors.

That kind of implies a physical aspect for his powers which makes even less sense than the powers themselves.

Again, that's not really an excuse in itself. Does he have a sedentary lifestyle? Is he a smoker? These are causes. A reasonably fit person with no particular vices isn't going to just weaken that drastically with age.

This implies that there's something unseen in the new timeline that increases his power level.

He had his powers reset in Last Stand. He probably hadn't gained them all back.

I mean in Last Stand he lifted the Golden Gate Bridge. That thing isn't light.

Has there ever been an example in the comics where mutant powers decline with age?

Special effects got better

There's a female character in Image comics' Invincible that transforms into a monster to fight. It starts out with her being pretty young and the monster hard as nails but as she gets older it becomes weaker and more human-like.

So her, I guess?
The monster is canonically a male too.

Yes.

First. He is younger. Duh.

Second, the new timeline doesnt end in the DoFP epilogue. This Magneto had his powers unlocked by Apocalypse. He is not the one who will become the Magneto you seen in DoFP

That's not how she worked.
The more she changed into the monster the younger she became after each transformation.

>being this autistic

People get old and lose a step. Who are you to decide that he shouldn't have weakened that much?

Wolverine. His healing factor gets weaker as he gets centuries older.

>This implies that there's something unseen in the new timeline that increases his power level.

time isn't linear you dumbass

>This implies that there's something unseen in the new timeline that increases his power level.

>Someone gave him a **gift** by increasing his power.

Posting without watching the movie. Shameful.

Old age.

>It starts out with her being pretty young and the monster hard as nails but as she gets older it becomes weaker and more human-like.
Did you read that off wiki or something? You clearly didn't read the actual comic if you believe this.

Thor is basically a mutant Asgardian, he actually become significantly more powerful with age.

dude't trying to take monster girl, who's powers were the result of a curse by some crazy witch, and hold her up as an example in a discussion about mutants. He's clearly never read the comic.

you kind of have it backwards friend. See she was normal, and when she was in her twenties she goes on this trip to europe and shags some dude who's granny was a witch. Granny told her to leave the boy alone and she declined, so granny cursed her to turn into a monster. Every time she uses her powers it de-ages her, and as she get's slowly younger the monster gets more powerful (in one of the later issues we see an alternate universe where she's de-aged to infancy, monster form was a fucking Kaiju.)

He's the son of Elder God Gaea. It's more that than cosmic biology.

>watching X-Men movies post 2003

>This implies that there's something unseen in the new timeline that increases his power level
Like, i don't know, Apocalypse?

But apocalypse didn't do anything to him. He just took him to Auschwitz and gave him a pep talk.

Because his powers give him migraines and clearly this is degenerative over time.

AIDS

Refrigerator magnets wear out too sometimes.

Is there any possible explanation as to why young Magneto's don't have white hair like than old Magneto?

>tfw all our superpowers will wear out with age and there's nothing we can do about it.
