Why did they drop the Mechanic angle?

Why was she so obsessed about graduating from a Beauty Academy and her stupid Christian Puppet Show when she was already a talented mechanic

Hank even commends her that she has a useful skill Bobby fails at

Progressively through the seasons Luanne becomes a more and more horrible person. Not simply Peggy Hill horrible, but outright malicious and overtly selfish.
Whether this was just natural evolution of her character given her parents are trash and her guardian is a cunt or something done on purpose to show how much of a better person Lucky is than her is debatable.

I think this might be intentional

Luanne's father was a raging redneck white trash alcoholic and so was her mom who was also a severe druggie with psychotic anger issues

Luanne has the worst genes of both

They never dropped it so much as never did anything with it in the first place. Every time it came up (about twice in both the first and second seasons, and once in season 13), it was only a small detail in an episode about something/someone else. It was never mentioned or featured in a Luanne-centric episode.

I know people wanted plotlines like Hank reluctantly bonding with Luanne about her knowledge of cars or Luanne realizing that she was pursuing beauty school instead of utilizing the talents she already had, but there never seemed to be any indication that the writers themselves planned to do that. Even when they got her out of beauty school, the best thing anyone on the writing team apparently thought to do was send her to community college so that she could... I dunno, do "something else" ~2 years from then.

Her being a mechanic is such a pointless detail that even in the early seasons they might as well never have included it. I'd like if they had an episode about it, but it was like they never considered how to make it work with the rest of her character traits.

You don't get it

The writers dedicated an entire episode of Hank's emotional attachment to his truck and taking it to a mechanic is like having her raped by another man with his tools.

The pilot, Luanne was able to fix the problem Hank was having with the truck and he didn't get angry. In fact he smiled because of how impressed he was he even fixed Cotton's car and didn't once complain

When Bobby touched the truck however Hank was viled and disgusted. When Luanne makes a better character than Bobby something is miscued

No, I do get it.

I'm saying I get it's disappointing that they didn't make an episode about it, but that, for whatever reason, they didn't. If they wanted it to be a bigger part of the show, there should've been an episode about it by like season 2, 3 at the latest, but there never was.

People fail to recognize and monetize their talents, shocking.

You mean like make Asami a villain?

Or make Korra less 1-dimensional

Or make Varrick less of a meme character

Luanne is more of a major character than Bobby is

Bobby has more B-plots than A-plots throughout the entirety of King of the Hill

Hell Peggy gets more A-plots than Bobby

I like to think she got brain damage in the Mega Lo Mart explosion.

Which is why if they wanted to do something about her skills as a mechanic, they had every opportunity to but didn't seem to feel it was important enough.

Bobby is definitely supposed to be the more important character, though, and Luanne's role got reduced a lot past season 4 once Brittany Murphy was focusing more on her film career. Toward the middle of the series Luanne would be in maybe 2 or 3 episodes a season.

But she's already a dumb fuccable white trash bimbo slut

I'm watching the episode Plastic White Female now and even then the reason why I understand she failed is because she didn't pay attention in class.

Was she in any GOOD movies?

I hate that Lucky pulled and trapped her into the redneck hillbilly life she could have escaped from.

Oh please Luanne was living in denial

She is gonna become exactly like her mother hell maybe even worse than her mother

Lucky didn't do shit, though?

Also do they ever explain how she got pregnant? I mean, she's canonically known to use birth control, so was there a lapse, did it fail, what happened?

And Luanne wasn't going to Harvard, user. She was a beauty school dropout who maybe would have gotten a social studies degree in community college after 4 years and worked at Mega-lo Mart.

At best her mechanic skills could have earned her some spending money

Also she had the worst college roomates ever who refused to pay rent

She could've stopped using birth control after the whole born-again virgin thing, not predicting she'd end up having sex before marriage again.

Though she did say that she was mainly using the birth control pills for her complexion and periods rather than just for sex, so maybe she eventually changed that since those two episodes were a few seasons apart.

I vaguely remember an episode where Bobby might have been taking the same pills

Am I thinking right?

Sort of, they were having a prank war and he replaced her pills with candy, so she said he got her pregnant and that they'd have to get married.

That was the same one the pills were talked about.

He stole some from her and replaced them with tictacs during their prank war, but I don't remember him eating them

But yeah, over time she went from dumb and nice with a mean streak to she's just a huge bitch

Heh! Didn't Hank go nuts about that? I seem to recall him pleading, "Resist the trailer park, Luann, resist the trailer park!!"

All for naught... I was disappointed in her character in the last season.

is this a sexy koth thread or what because I AM ALL FOR THAT. I AM ALL
FOR
THAT

It's a demonstration of how real people fuck up their own lives.

he's been gone for like 5 threads

who?

WaifuPoster2000
he posts pics of the females on the show

Her skills as a mechanic were just a joke rather than a character trait.

she fixed hanks truck and made him tear up

Please, Lucky didn't do shit.
In fact marrying Lucky almost certainly saved her from that shit.

just because you're hung like a horse doesn't mean you want to do porn

>"Resist the trailer park, Luann, resist the trailer park!!"
That was peggy

gross, asian koth

bump for breastanon

...

HONK HONK

SKEET SKEET

I loved her as an antagonist.
>Donna: You don't get my generation, Hank!
>Hank: We're the same age.

hes older in propane years

They kept sabotaging Luanne's developing away from being white trash.

>Luanne is more of a major character than Bobby is
That's just dumb. Bobby gets more B plots than A plots, but he gets damn near all the B plots in the show.

Did koth go the same path the Simpsons did?

Haven't seen KotH in a while, is this the chick that had a huge butt?

It was slipping, but it got cancelled before it went whole hog bad.

no she's the one with the best rack
