Why did Bendis say Tony never updated Rhodey's armor in decades when he did that in Iron Man 2.0?

Why did Bendis say Tony never updated Rhodey's armor in decades when he did that in Iron Man 2.0?

>Bendis
>continuity

>Bendis
You answered your own question OP

Bendis doesn't acknowledge comics he didn't write.

Even that's a bit of a tall order for him.

>Bendis doesn't acknowledge comics. Even if he didn't write.
ftfy

why did Bendis do something stupid?

because hes Bendis.

Tell him. On Formspring or Twitter or whatever. See what happens.

The man can't take criticism and never really understood the no-prize.

If Tony never updated Rhodey's armor, who made the Thanos-killing missiles?

Because Bendis is a hack, and he makes no effort.

You sure user.

Let's just simplify this
>Bendis doesn't
You can go down to just >Bendis, but that's a more broad series of issues to consider when you see his name on a book instead of a particular concern with his failings

You think that's bad, how about when Tony claimed he warned Carol about something that didn't happen in the same issue

Bendis is infamous for having zero respect for continuity. He just writes whatever the fuck he wants with no regard for established character traits and events beyond major crossovers and even then he ignores some of those.

It's why Ultimate was perfect for him.

"bendis doesn't read comics" is even more true than "Sup Forums doesn't read"

Implying he writes things...

Also it seems Tony has been scaled back to just starting out as ironman in the "reboot", so How is James Rhodes even possible

what makes you think that? and wasn't even a reboot

God that's a terrible design.

Even better, what the fuck kind of upgrades does he need if he has Thanos killing missiles lying around?

One has to question what the fuck they even need a platform carried by a person for if they could just carpet bomb the location with Thanos seeking versions of those things.

Also remind him that Tony is supposed to be one of the top 10 most intelligent people on earth, not one of the stupidest.

its okay, I've seen worse

Tony goes through cycles of ramping up his tech to a point where he's pretty much unstoppable, then being scaled back to older stuff.

Like, once he got the Bleeding Edge, it was quite literally "nanomachines son" tier and could do basically anything, so they had to drop him down to MCU armor levels to make things be even remotely threatening to him again.
