ITT: rarest/most valuable comics you own

miracleman #10 and 11
i'm not much of a collector

...

...

I own Scott Lang's first appearance and original two-part story arc in Marvel Premiere.

huehue

Srsly though, i know its not worth anything but it looks perfect hanging in a cheap frame on the wall.

fuck forgot pic

1st Printing of The Crow

I've got some Marvel/Taco Bell comics.

Are those rare?

I know they're not valuable...

My witzend slipcase is up to $214

I guess itd be this
I cant think of any other comics I own that would be of any value

That one especially, isn't worth shit.... all the important seeming issues since the early 90s were just overhyped and overprinted and aren't worth the paper theyre printed on.

kinda like recently.... hrmmm...

i don't think it's worth a lot but it's the rarest thing i got

oooh and this one too

Oh, shit. I didn't even realize this had went up that much. I have this too. I doubt I'll ever get rid of mine. Great stuff in there. I have the Silver Surfer Omnibus that has gone up a lot. I've gotten rid of all my super rare stuff though. I used to have a fair amount of silver age books. Most of the original Surfer and most of the Jack Kirby Thor books. Even had a few of the Journey In To Mysterys from back then.

I guess its worth something?

...

i have every issue of wolverine, x-force, x-factor, x-men, uncanny x-men from #150 to current. i dont collect for money i just like x-men, i assume at least one issue in all those is worth at least 10 bucks?

I own:
Iron man 200 (iron monger)
Iron man 225 (armor wars)
Superior spider man 1
Amazing spider man 600 and 700 (signed by the artists)

I hear these guys are fetching something on eBay

Also these two. The Mask was a surprise.

Also somewhat related

Not comics, but if Amazon is to be believed then i'm lucky I got these when i did

The prices I see for these vary wildly online but the Humanoids website still seems to have them in stock at regular price

I've got a copy of this bagged and boarded in perfect condition somewhere.

One of the few actually-rare 90's Marvel books because they had no idea Cable would become this huge thing and didn't print all that many.

Sandman #50, signed by Neil Gaiman

Its not really rare, but I did get it for only a dollar when I bought it

You could probably still get it for a dollar

I had no idea this would be worth something when I was a kid. I don't even like Harley, Ivy was always the hot one.

My Starman omnis are pretty fukken expensive since DC keep teasing the paperbacks and canceling them.

I can't bring myself to see what #3 costs today. I can't.

...

Kamandi omnibus 1

I remember right when the Amazon price for it was creaking up my local shop had like 2 dozen just lying there. Should have picked up a couple of spare copies to flip. Apparently they sold well enough on the secondary market my shop was able to open a second store

Holy shit I own this. When did this become rare and how valuable is it?

Combo of low print run + niche product x no reprints I wager

For some reason, both of these are going for quite a bit more than they should be on Amazon.

>Girls

kek

Hardcover's going for a bit of coin new and used. just a snapshot of what Amazon brings up.

Fuck off.

Though I have an issue of Showcase #39 which might be more rare.

I wonder how much the first printings of Rebirth will be in the future

Low print runs skyrocket no matter what they are. I have a Barnes and Noble leatherbound copy of Dune that I got for 12 bucks. Averages at around a hundred now.

Probably about as much as DC Universe 0 and Countdown to Infinite Crisis

Although Mike Sterling pointed out that Before Watchmen Dr Manhatten is getting pricey

I've got first prints of all of the Mad Max first issues, signed by Sexton.

And, uh.. Nightcrawler's 1984 4-issue run in mint condition?
They aren't worth shit, but I love them.

They all got pricey. There's been a lot of stories about LCS selling out back stock on Before Watchmen

...

I have a near mint copy of Demon in a Bottle that I probably lost in my own house

Some con exclusive issues like The Walking Dead and The Ultimates

New Teen Titans 1 but it's like peanuts compared to 2

Nah,

I had multiple copies and I burned them last year for fun.

>a bit more than they should be on Amazon.
That's because those are scams.

...

Yep, that was me in the early 90s.

The year? 1998
The comic? New Mutants #98
The reason? I was a massive Deadpool fan after buying the Wolvering issue with Deadpool impaling him on the cover.

That comic cost me $15 mint, and is now listed on ebay $500+ sometimes.

For the record, I fucking hated the Deadpool movie.

I got the 9/11 issue of ASM... the one where Doom cries like a bitch

I have a picture of wonder woman drawn by Michael Turner given to me as a christmas present that he did about a year before he died.
I never got to meet him, unfortunately. A friend of mine from college grew up with him, they were at a bar together and he mentioned i was fan. So Mike made me a drawing and sent a bunch of Aspen comics swag, along with several comics that hadn't been released yet.

He was such a cool guy. I would never sell it, but I imagine the drawing is probably worth something

Crying Doom was a precursor to Crying Jordan

...

...

Any recommended sites to find out rarity? I doubt anything I have is rare, but it'd be neat to look up.

>Death of Superman outside of Black Polybag missing armband

Look under the sell option on mycomicshop.com

1st Appearance Spider-Gwen.

What If (vol. 2) #105 and Spider-Girl #0-#100

I realize it's not rare at all, but still.

Kamandi #1 I guess

I've got a compete run of Kurtzman's Humbug as well as the first edition paperback of Kurtzman's Jungle Book.

Jimbo in Paradise can be rather expensive as well.

I have it too, great book

Guardians #3, maybe?
More on the Sup Forums side of things but I got a stack of those shitty westernized Pokemon comics.

Oldest comics I've got are some sixties stuff like Submariner, Superboy and a Jimmy Olsen I won in a grab bag that came in pretty decent quality.

Most expensive is probably the first appearance of Toyo Harada or maybe a Walking Dead comic I have. No idea which one since I haven't really looked properly lately. I'm expecting Ezekiel's first appearance to rise in price come October.

Signed Uncanny X-men first cover appearance of Emma Frost

Hawkeye (Fraction run) full run

Original print Mad Love is worth something now I think

...

Wally gets THUNDERSTRUCK! and booster fights supes.

Fucking prove it user

I think I have some fairly oldish phantoms
I have part 2 of a simpsons/futurama crossover I wonder what that's worth

...

$40 for this shit

>free from a convention
>worth $100
>mine has a big crease down the back of the cover

Fffffffffffffff--

Hey, I've got that one too!

I recently got my dad's old longboxes, some nice stuff in there. Pic Related seemed to be the most fetching piece.

Some other things that were particularly notable in the batch. I'm honestly not sure how I should proceed dealing with these, keep them as long as I can or if/when I should try and sell them.

...

...

...

...

...

It's in shit condition tho.

Also got an Infinite Crisis 1 signed by Johns, not sure if it's worth anything. Straight up found it at a flea market for 3$.

...

...

It's not exactly worth a lot but at least I'm the only person who owns it

I've got a handful of these

What do you think Sup Forums?

I have that signed by Stan Lee

Rarest is my set of Watchmen. Oh I know it's not super rare but I got them all signed by Gibbons and Moore.

First appearance of Carnage. I have the next issue as well, even though that's really worth nothing even though I saw it graded and sealed in my LCS yesterday for $98.

Ironically, I hate Marvel and Carnage. I'm just holding onto it so I can sell it at some point should the price max out at a movie appearqnce or something.

On a side note, why is New 52 Batman 1 selling so high? Is it due to being the first Court of Owls appearance?

I thought More never signed copys of watchmen?

When I was little my friends and I found boxes of comics in a trailer in the middle of the woods. One of them was issue 1 of the old Flash comics. Being kids we had no idea of its value and proceed to distory them after playing frisbee with vinyl records we found along.

If only we knew...

maybe he signed it when the comic came out and before he turned into a bitch with anything DC releated?

Also, I own Walking Dead #1 and Saga #1, how much are worth those?

beating bane, and 500th issue.
not sure if worth a lot though

Man that's a lot of good shit. Must have taken at least two people to go through all those long boxes.

Very much this. You can buy some of them signed on Ebay but I managed to secure mine for a hundred 100 bucks.

Might be The Crow in original floppies from many years before I ever heard the word edgy. Is that good?

Some of Slott's best writing.

Don't know what it's worth, but I liked this one.

Unexpected demand and a lower than expected print run. Synder wasn't as hot as he was by the time Court of Owls hit so people wanting to back collect found the issues scarce

Wait until a movie is coming out and then sell
Worked for Deadpool
