I have recently been thinking about moving to Spain in the future. My first thoughts are of course about the areas around Costa del Sol since it is a haven for Europeans (and many Swedes) that have grown sick and tired of their countries and left.
I am going to do this the hard earned way. Save up a lot of money and sell my house, learn at least adequate Spanish and study some form of web programming skill so that I can bring my job with me.
I have many, many questions but I want to ask you for advice and wisdom first and foremost.
What areas are affordable and safe? Is it hard to find work at all in Spain? Are there other known "colonies" of Europeans? Do most Spaniards speak English?
These are some of the first questions off the top of my head but generally I want to know everything about living and working in Spain.
>move to another country >chose the areas with most of your countrymen in it muhamad, pls

Why would he choose to live among all the greasy Spaniards when he can live comfortably among his own kin?

The South of Spain is poorer and thus more affordable. If you have money to survive all your life, then it could be o.k. But if you need to have a job, and it should be with a local business, then I would not go there. If you want to come here comfortably, secure yourself a job in Bilbao, Madrid, or Barcelona. Before coming. The climate in those places will also be slightly more familiar to you. (I personally find the South to be insufferably hot...) So as long as you don't come for the sunny memery...
The whole country is very safe for the most part. Just avoid gypsy and immigrant neighbourhoods. Native Spaniards, at least in the North/Northeast, are like harmless puppies. Probably the same for the main cities in the South.
There are colonies of Norwegians, Brits... and probably more.
Most Spaniards have a poor English level. However, if you go to a city, people will be more proficient, especially in your industry (programming).

I'd kill myself if I lived in a shitty Eastern European shithole too desu
>The South of Spain is poorer and thus more affordable. Maybe Almeria,Cordoba or Huelva. Cadiz and Malaga are over populated and have one of the fastest growing real state business in the world. Unless Sven wants to live amongst gypsies he will have to pay a crap tone of money

Why should you get a job when literal millions of young spaniards cant

Didn't know that. Thanks for the correction mate. Rental is also fucked up?

I hope you can find your way here, friend.

Is it easy to start a business or company in Spain? Is the government supportive or will you be taxed up the ass?

I want to register a .es domain, but I have to give up my ID number (which is actually illegal in the Netherlands due to the risks involved).
Is the privacy in Spain well protected?

I guess it it. Why do you want a .es so bad?

I have a common first name, and firstname.es is available. Plus I like Spain and the extension.
Elijah Rivera
That sounds slightly weird. If the domain seller is Spanish, then it should probably be asking your passport, not your swampeople identification digits. I believe... If the seller is Dutch, then your question is unnecessary.
Asher Roberts
>it should probably be asking your passport I don't think so, it's fucking Internet
