Russia seems pretty legit. I've never met anyone from there but I always wanted to visit Moscow. (On my phone I keep two time zones on my watch, central US and Moscow) I'm a little afraid of Puttin though. From what I've heard he is a really strong leader but somewhat corrupt.

If Russians are cool with me, I'm cool with them. There has to be an exchange of respect though.

Okay, this may be inaccurate since I am but a Russian-weeb. Russians are kind of their own thing, for the most part, but darker skin is looked down upon, most prevalent is people from Caucasus, or actual Caucasians, and I can't remember what the slur is, but it's their version of "nigger". I'm fairly certain that there's racism towards Asians, although it's a lot less common. But again, I'm more versed in western Russia.

The price for American liberty is a sense of alienation from your culture and heritage. American culture is painfully shallow. Jingoism and hollow patriotism are how we make up for a lack of real identity and connection to our land and history (because so many of his are descended from immigrants who had nothing to do with the founding of the country). And our past does not have a lot to be proud of. People make fun of America for constantly bragging about WW2 and never letting anyone forget it, but that's like one of our very few triumphs. The other being the moon landing. Our history is fraught with evils: genociding Indians, slavery, starting wars all over the planet, etc. I don't personally feel guilty about any of these things, but it's hard to be proud of such a history. What is left except to wave your dick about having the largest military in the world and lord your freedoms over other people while saying "remember that time we fought in WW2?"
