BECAUSE IF I JUST SAID MOM YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHO I WAS TALKING ABOUT

BECAUSE TECHNICALLY I HAVE TWO MOMS SO I NEED TO BE SPECIFIC

SHAVE MARTHA.....!

You mean LORD MOLDYBUTT?

It's funny, because either way it would've hit Batman's soft spot.

If Clark had just said "They're gonna kill my mom," Bruce still would've had a Vietnam flasahback to Crime Alley.

MOM'S

That was a great moment and if you didn't get it or thought it was silly then you don't read comics or simply didn't understand the movie

Yeah, but quoting his dad's dying words should have covered all the bases.

It's his mother's name.

fuck off Ayn Rand

Who the fuck calls their mother by their first name

...

Go to bed Scott.

...

Do you really wanna know? The answer lies in the anus of the Joker.

...

You know what you need to do, Batman.

IF THERE'S EVEN A 1% CHANCE THAT OUR MOMS HAVE THE SAME PEACH TEA, CRIME IS FUCKED

This.

...

Boy that escalated quickly, I mean that really got out of hand

rape

the

Whoa fuck, what movie was this for?

Joker

Damn, he went full Odin

BECAUSE I'M IN THE THROES OF DEATH AND A WELL HONORED TRADITION OF MOVIE DEATHS IS THAT YOU BLURT OUT SOMETHING IMPORTANT THAT IS OFTEN VAGUE AND CLUMSILY PHRASED. IF I HAD SAID, "SAVE MY MOTHER" IT WOULD'VE UNDERSOLD THE GRAVITY OF MY DYING AND YOU WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN WHO I WAS TALKING ABOUT

t. contrarian casuals

> "They're gonna kill my mom,

The entire point of this plot point is that because Clark's mother is clearly human with the same name, it breaks Bruce out of his tunnel vision to reevaluate his motives and who Superman is.

If he had just said "They're gonna kill mommy!" he has no reason to assume that Kryptonian Mom is human. Bruce sees Superman as an unknowable unfeeling alien entity.

What, casual moviegoers could make that simple addition? After we spent so much time complaining about how movies always treat us like we're dumb and spell it out for us, they expected us to realize Batfleck thought Superman was an unstoppable, inhuman monster, and that his dad's dying words were important to him? It's not like they set that up, like at all, right?

WHYDUSHATHANAME???

Clark saying it in slow motion though was so horrid.

GONNA

It was fine but I hated that it had to flashback to Thomas Wayne dying and saying Martha's name again. Like, Jesus. If you really thought we wouldn't remember what her name was you could have just shown her grave again.

Even then, I remember sitting in the theater when that happened, and having to stop and think "Hun, I never noticed that before." Making the audience realize something as the character does is a decent trick.

DIE

Bruce, calm dawn and let me into your min-AAARRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

AM I TOO SOON?

BRUCE!

IT'S LOIS, LOIS LANE!

SHE'S THE KEY! YOU WERE RIGHT ABOUT HIM!

...

A constant stream of other Barrys should have ported in trying to fix this
>Your too soon!
>I know!
>Does he get it?
>No you left the most vague message possible
>We're running out of time!
>WE RAN THROUGH TIME BARRY!

You know if you're want to critique or discuss a cape film then I don't mind it being here. But if it's just a meme thread then there really is no reason why it can't go to Sup Forums.

Was he even in the movie? I don't remember him at all.

...

Because it's not like Batman has serious, long term psychological issues relating to murdered parents or anything, am I right?

Martha works because in that moment Batman sees his father in Superman and realizes he has become Joe Chill

Don't try to start an actual discussion in a meme thread. It's not going to go anywhere.
Also dubs speak truth.

he about to go get that 1v1 with spidey
