You'd probably get so more out of something by Crowley than a pop culture coffee book for Reddit faggots

>Maybe he enjoys it. Or maybe he's just cashing in while the gettins good
I guess its both, in interviews he really seems to enjoy working on the show with Lynch

>I already gave you a head

What did she mean by this?

That line was pretty creepy.

Also don't pretend you don't check r/twinpeaks.

it's more like a war over someone who has finally woken up.

The Cuck Lodge

I don't have to pretend, its cancer over there

That gave me a giggle.

So, since we've covered just about everything so far what do people think about the weird black boxes?

What does that make /tpg

254 000 people tuned in for Part 5. Pretty fucking rough numbers, thank god the entire season was finished before it started airing, or it'd probably get pulled.

Could anyone post the webm of Becky's cocaine bliss shot?

I'd have to see what numbers other Showtime stuff is getting to gauge whether its good or bad

The Pink Room

Lynch knew that going in.

But this show will live on, long after Breaking Bad or The Young Pope or GoT are long forgotten.

kinda glad because that's actually a lot more than I expected desu

Constance is my favourite of the new cast.

Those are some super rough numbers. I would've figured at least a million.

But that might not be able to incorporate all the ways Showtime offerings can be accessed like through Amazon Prime and others. If those are Neilsen Ratings they could be pretty far off.

Usually at the very least a million views.

Most people are streaming it on demand

Seems like the top Showtime shows get max 1,5 million views, but that doesn't include streaming. But the rest seem to be either aroudn the million mark or below.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babalon

>Babalon (also known as the Scarlet Woman, Great Mother or Mother of Abominations) is a goddess found in the mystical system of Thelema, which was established in 1904 with English author and occultist Aleister Crowley's writing of The Book of the Law, her name being later given in other works. In her most abstract form, she represents the female sexual impulse and the liberated woman. In the creed of the Gnostic Mass she is also identified with Mother Earth.
>Babalon is a complex figure, although within one particular view of Thelemic literature, she is said to have three essential aspects: she is the Gateway to the City of the Pyramids, the Scarlet Woman and the Great Mother.

The American Girl (Phoebe Augustine) refers to the thing pounding on the door as her "mother":
>"You'd better hurry, my mother is coming"

>As Crowley wrote in his The Book of Thoth, "she rides astride the Beast; in her left hand she holds the reins, representing the passion which unites them. In her right she holds aloft the cup, the Holy Grail aflame with love and death. In this cup are mingled the elements of the sacrament of the Aeon".

Pic related. The box entity is seen holding a golden object at the begining of the scene.

Yeah that band was shit, it's David Lynch's son's band by COMPLETE coincidence

Cooper falls in love with Annie

I suppose that's not entirely unexpected? It's a continuation of an old existing series and it's so weird that even some fans of the original (basically everybody who hated Fire Walk With Me) got turned off.
It ain't easy being Lynchian

This episode gave me such a heartbreak with Coop. This shot with the jazz music and the scene when he cries looking at Sonny Jim made me so depressed. I felt it was beyond Lynch, it was just pure sadness.

Fix up that pic m8, I can't see shit

who are you most eager to see pop up again, /tpg/?

Showtime are probably looking for some awards rather than viewers

>you will never have Coop as your daddy

why would coop say "he's lying". nobody said it before, he's not repeating.

i think he's coming to his senses. and his senses were always like that. he was a very good detective because of little pointers from the "other side" all along. we're just seeing it now.

>We're above the convenience store shitposting, lads
Nothing as cool as that. Face it, we're in the orchid house and no troubled qts are dropping by.

...

Audrey. She was best girl in the original run and I'm interested to see what Lynch decided her part in the new story would be.
Also, I still haven't completely given up hope they somehow managed to sneak in a Bowie cameo.

You need to shitpost this up a bit, Twin Peaks revival at the top, Stranger Things at the bottom

These are all quite highly rated kino moments

>the Majors Vision
If you twist every positive thing in Briggs' vision you end up with the Purple Room.

"There seemed to emanate from it a light, from within this gleaming, radiant marble."
Inverts to darkness, everything in shadow
"I had known this place. I had, in fact, been born and raised there, and this was my first return—a reunion with the deepest wellsprings of my being."
Obviously Cooper is lost in this new space, it is not home or safe.
"There had been added a number of additional rooms, but in a way that blended so seamlessly with the original construction, one would never detect any difference."
The stylistic disconnect between the fireplace area and the industrial roof, not to mention the spatial discontinuity.
"Returning to the house’s grand foyer, there came a knock at the door. My son was standing there. He was happy and carefree, clearly living a life of deep harmony and joy."
Male offspring vs female parent, complete inversion, and 'mother' did not seem to be happy and carefree, more angry and determined.

No user, we're in the shit

did nobody else see the little flash of green light on the guys face right before Coop said he was lying? Makes me think the Black Lodge somehow got him to say that.

They were so good at portraying subtle evil in the original show. Nobody was perfect.

This gave such a Lost Highway's vibe, loved it.

That shit caught me off guard in the last episode.

Are people reading too much into the whole Dougie thing? Is it possible that he's just shown as a man struggling to adapt to the modern world? After all things were different 25 years ago, and a lot of modern people who would find themselves teleported into those times would fare no better.

No it just makes you a skipfag, read the book.

I can get it later

About the Bowie pictures from last thread, Iman herself said those were the last pictures she took of her husband, days before his death iirc. Pretty sure the old geezer was up and running until his last breath because he was just like that.

I will never not cry at the Major's vision. I wonder if Bobby found his place of wholesomeness and happiness in the world like the Major predicted.
