I had a disfiguring accident when I was 12. I am 26 now, but that day when the accident happened is the freshest memory in my mind. I can still see the vivid imagery of the moment it happened, the feelings I felt, and my sensory perceptions at the time.

I can remember it so clearly, because it was a completely surreal moment. That moment when my accident happened, I truly felt like I woke up from a dream. I remember opening and closing my eyes in exaggerated motions because I had that same sensation when you are inside of a dream and you suddenly realize you are in a dream and you just sort of "open your eyes". From that day forth, even though my disfigurement brought on tons of depression, it also made me impervious to most normal emotional occurrences in one's life. I almost became a sort of "iron man" of emotion. Disassociated isn't the right word for it, but it describes it a bit. It also made me very aware of propaganda and the power of media and I'm kinda thankful my accident happened as I do not get affected by propaganda and I still retain that "eyes open" feeling that I had immediately post-accident. I've become mentally stronger for it.

But I can imagine how if I was in an occult group, something similarly traumatic like that could happen, and someone could suggest something to me in that moment. I feel like my mind was suddenly very frail at that moment and such an influence could greatly impact my mental development from then on. Don't doubt the power of the mind.

You really see its potential in these rare moments in your life when you experience something totally unexpected and significant.
