Dalhouse, stop. Please.

Don't care for the art style. The hell are you aiming at, Arsenal?

Still, glad to see the band back together. Uh, aside from not knowing who that is on the right.

>mfw Booth art

The body language makes me think Wally and Dick are friends again which is great though.

what's up with the wierd titans HQ

Lilith. Redhead in green t-shirt, telepathy and illusion projecting.

>Dick is the only one not bullying Wally

of course

I know who Lilith is, just not familiar with the outfit. Hell, in Titans Hunt she just wore a shirt.

I really have no idea why she got that design. There's mandatory cloaked figure on every TT team?

Source? Is the preview out?

Who the hell is Lilith? a New Teen Titans character? Silver Age Teen Titans character? new?

bronze age

What'cha lookin' at, Donna? Cause it sure as hell ain't Wally.

Probably at the same thing Dick is looking at.

Manhattan, I knew it.

> Dick Grayson, Donna Troy, Garth, Roy Harper and Lilith are the Titans. This particular group of individuals was originally the top protégés of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Green Arrow respectively. Also, they are the founders of the legendary superhero group: The Teen Titans.
> As the characters grew up and left the team, the group established their very own strike force, the Titans, and became the honorary older siblings that DC Comics fans wished they had.
> Thanks to the massive company line storyline, DC Rebirth, their title was resurrected with new creators: writer Dan Abnett and artist Brett Booth at the helm.
> “We worked on Aquaman together, and it was fantastic to learn that we would be pulling our resources together again to work on a book that is filled with our favorite characters.” Said Dan Abnett. Booth was also ecstatic to learn that he and Abnett were given the keys to the Titans universe.
> “When I met with Dan DiDio to find out who was writing it, he told me that: “Dan (Abnett) was writing it.” Awesome, sold!” said Brett Booth. “Everything fell right into place, and I could not wait to get started.”

Yeah, actually, I feel like Dick and Donna are maybe reacting to something evil over to the right while Garth, Roy, and Lilith are distrustful or brainwashed or something.

> For the Titans’ first adventure, Abnett and Booth reunited the team with one of DC Comics’ most popular characters and Teen Titans founder, Wally West, one of DC Comics’ fastest men alive. The third Flash returned in the pages of the DC Universe Rebirth one-shot to much fan acclaim.
“The success of the DC Universe Rebirth one-shot showed how many people wanted to see him back and what a powerful impact his return has had.” Abnett said.
> As fans jumped for joy for Wally’s return, many readers wanted to know if he will be given a new code name. Luckily, Abnett was able to soothe fans’ concerns and exclusively revealed to Jake’s Take that the Scarlet Speedster will keep his title.
> “He is the Flash! The DC Universe is accustomed to multiple Flashes and Green Lanterns running around, and Wally has every right to use that name.” said Abnett. “We are not going to change his name by default just because there is another Flash in the DCU.”
> In the pages of the DC Universe Rebirth one-shot, fans learned that a mysterious force wiped away ten years of the precious memories of our beloved heroes and it was not until Wally escaped his Speed Force prison and reunited with his mentor, Barry Allen, that Wally returned to existence. The Titans: Rebirth one-shot shows how Wally reignites his teammates’ memories.
> “By having a speed force spark revive their memories, the team remembered not only Wally but also several crucial snapshots from their past.” Abnett added.
> Booth stated that this particular Rebirth one-shot was probably the most emotional and unique issues because it will bring longtime fans back to the first time that they discovered the characters.

> “The memories are just little snapshots that are very emotional that range from funny to serious.” Booth said. “Dan picked these critical memories that I think not only transmits with characters like Lilith or Donna, but the readers also get information on Wally and his character, and we reveal what events triggers the Titans’ emotions.”
> When it came to designing the heroes, Booth had one question running through his mind.
“I asked myself: “What would these characters look like if the Justice League were gone?” and the Titans were forced to step into the shoes of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Green Arrow.” Booth said. “I pulled some of the old designs, so I could get a feel of what the characters used to look like and create a hybrid that incorporated both the classic and new designs.”

>several crucial snapshots from their past

"Holy shit, we had a lot of friends, and a LOT of them died. And it's surprising that a T-shaped building can hold its arms up at the top like that. Also, I think Deathstroke is kind of a lolicon."

However, Booth exclusively revealed to Jake’s Take that Wally was the hardest character to design for and turned to one of DC’s most luminary artists for assistance: DC Comics Co-publisher Jim Lee.

> “Jim (Lee) made some minor changes, and after I had received Jim’s notes, I went back and made some minor changes myself and eventually that design made its way to the DC Universe Rebirth one-shot.” Booth stated.
> Thanks to their new designs and Wally’s return, the Titans might be DC Rebirth’s premiere superhero team to watch during the DC Rebirth storyline.“They are no longer these ingénue sidekicks, the Titans are a fully-fledged team in their right and are the go-to alternative team to assist you if the Justice League of America is busy.” Abnett said.
> In addition to confronting the imminent threat Wally warned Barry Allen in the pages of the DC Universe Rebirth one-shot, a distinguished group of villains is expected to menace the newly reformed team: The Fearsome Five.“The Fearsome Five are classic Titan villains and in my humble opinion, an excellent foil to the team.” Abnett added. “They are the mirror versions of the Titans.”
> While the team is dealing with the Fearsome Five, Abnett stated that there might be a slew of old and new foes that the team has to face as they track down the person or thing that nearly wiped Wally out of existence.

> “It would be a shame not to revisit classic Titans foes, but it would also be a shame if we ignored the possibility of adding on to the Titans legacy by not bringing in cool new characters.” Abnett said.

>While Wally reunited with his mentor and friends, fans might have to wait a little bit longer for a reunion between the recently returned Flash and several of his closest allies: Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire. Together with Flash, Donna Troy and Nightwing, these seven formed the most famous incarnation of the Teen Titans, whose adventures were immortalized by the iconic creative team of Marv Wolfman and George Perez.

>“While there is a distinct possibility of a reunion, our title’s primary focus will be how our core team works together.” Said Abnett. “But, I cannot believe that we will not cross paths with his Wolfman-Perez teammates sometime during this adventure.”

> With the future of the DC Universe at stake, Titans should be a book that comic book readers should have in their pull list.“Brett and I want to invite readers old and new to bond with the Titans,” Abnett added. “They are such a great group of iconic characters who have such an extraordinary friendship, and we hope that people read every issue.”

Im actually excited for 2 Titans books. What a weird day and age we live in.

>Dick is the second person to remember Wally

Best broship is back!

Reminds me of JL 3000 GL costume. Or insert generic green cloak.

Why is Hawk a guy?

She debuted back in 1970

She was the 6th Titan member, but the only other time she was used was after Raven became some golden aura/spirit and writers weren't allowed to use her. So they used Lilith as a stand in.

>Why is Hawk a guy?
Why wouldn't Hawk be a guy?

I seem to remember a story with the Titans from the 90s series, maybe it was an annual, where the original team had let Lilith mindwipe an earlier mission they were on. I guess between that and Titans Hunt it's the only thing I know her for.

Has anyone storytimed the old Titans books?

> Thanks to their new designs and Wally’s return, the Titans might be DC Rebirth’s premiere superhero team to watch during the DC Rebirth storyline.“They are no longer these ingénue sidekicks, the Titans are a fully-fledged team in their right and are the go-to alternative team to assist you if the Justice League of America is busy.” Abnett said.

They're gonna have to work real hard to make this not seem like the JV JLA team

I have never seen Roy look less dignified, and I have seen him wasted and petting a dead cat he thought was his daughter.

The JSA user storytimed of pain'd that like a year or two ago and Villains for Hire a few months ago

But other than that, no

Once JSA returns as well we're gonna have 3 potential headline teams

The original Wolf Titans would be better senpai

Yeah and all of them but Lilith and Bumblebee are even just less important versions of the JL members

They have a long road ahead of them.

Hopefully a Trigon and Deathstroke-less road.

I don't really like that line from him. Like you can cave their own niche in-universe without immediately relating it to the JL. But I'm not really worried yet.

Who is writing this? I want to read about Wally, but goddamn Booth.

Abnett

>tfw Teen Titans rotate "Trigon is evil father" and "Ra's wants Damian to retake League of Assassins" plots
>annual is Ra's making a deal with Trigon

Jesus, what is up with this art...

Abnett

He's good with teams in particular so the writing should be at least okay

you forgot the occasional evil dad and evil sister plots for Wally and Starfire

Abnett turned Earth 2 readable again.
If anybody can make the Titans good, it's him.

Too bad he's stuck with Booth cause it's literally monkeys paw.

>good writer
>good TEAM writer
>pre NTT line up
>first arc isn't Deathstroke, Trigon, or Brother Blood
>fucking Booth

Right, thanks. What'll be BB's gimmick, Doom Patrol wants him back? Something something Harvest or whatever happened in TT?

Too bad it's drawn by Booth.

What the fuck is Donn's story now?
She was just made and then taking over the fates. Now she's back to being a Titan? What did I miss?

Or is that going to be part of Rebirth?

Honestly I don't give a shit about Booth. As long as the story is good, I'm in.

Abnett changed it in Titans Hunt

That's right, her backstory/deal was changed like less than a year of existing again. The most Donna thing ever.

Why does he get so much work? He has to be insanely fast or something.

Roy looks like he should be making teens blow him for record deals or something

Honestly I've never heard of a colorist being slow. Most of them seem to do multiple books a month. I think Booth genuinely likes him and maybe requests to work with him, which is a shame.

>sigh
FUCK, I guess I'll go read Titans Hunt then.
I had no interest in reading that. Is it at least kind of good?

It's ok

You can tell it was meant to be 12 issues instead of 8 so it's more like a 6 issue arc stretched into 8 issues

Is booth really that bad of an artist? I mean I think his stuff is ok but what really kills it is his colorist

I find it mostly just okay and tolerable in sketches but the inks and colors together really kill his art.

He draws great dinosaurs and butts though.

You won't poke your eyes out. Kinda decompressed, though.
He's okay, but he can't into profiles and male hair.

Good enough.

How was that run anyways?

The first half is alright. If less people were assholes, I'd even call it pretty good. The last half is hot garbage though.

Is it collected in trades? I might pick it up

I don't think so, but they've been reprinting NTT, Silver Age TT is getting an omnibus, and they've been reprinting 90s stuff, so they may try to reprint that eventually

Where is Mal?

Titans of Murder

taking care of the baby I guess

just wait till deathstroke remembers how much he hates them should be fun

He sees Dick's ass on the news
He remembers his burning hatred

Yes, "hatred"...

I gave up following the nu52 books about 2 years ago.

Have they explained why Donna Troy exists again or is this book her first appearance since DC gave up trying to fix her continuity?

Booth's art should be considered a hate crime.

Why Finches brought her back evil but Titans Hunt changed it to something else but I dunno what cause i haven't it read it.

You're probably right, I just feel like I see his name in a disproportionate amount of stuff.

>Something something Harvest
No. Never again. Please, never again.

>Harvest

I should storytime some Silver Age Titans, Abnett said that's what he's looking at for inspiration

That'd be groovy user

It's probably better than most Titans books desu.

there is some prime silver age DC stuff going on with bonus attempts at appealing to the kids

>there's already fanart shipping them and the damn issue isn't even out yet.

Shippers are thirsty people

All it need is a Tech guy and slutty "starfire"

So I never read any Titans or watched any titans but you guys mostly seem to hate Titans. Do they have anything good? Maybe not even good but anything half decent?

I may or may not pick something up depending on what. I like most of the characters individually so at least the idea of the Titans is promising.

Wolfman and Perez's New Teen Titans is it. It casts such a huge shadow and the franchise never manages to get out of it.

>Do they have anything good?
Teen Titans Year One
Wolfman/Perez New Teen Titans
Johns' Teen Titans (PAD's Young Justice is better tho)

>Maybe not even good but anything half decent?
1999 Titans by Grayson
This is decent if you're ok with lots of characters being jerks and there being a lot of characters in general

Titans Rebirh Full Preview on Monday, possibly on CBR

>PAD's Young Justice is better tho

now that's a generation i feel bad for

I went from manapul to booth in the flash. I've never felt so much pain

I hope they get a YJ book with a good writer like Jeff Parker and not get tied to Berganza, but damn, we're probably gonna witness a change in generation and the bitching from fans and them trying to fix the YJ group won't be fun.

I know right

It's probably gonna be like Tim's character but for a whole generation
Sandwiched between the older version that's more popular/well known than you and the younger version that has the name and thus gets pushed more.

And add Vixen or any animal base power character

Bump

Roy was Oliver's techie.
Although last RH/A and GA Rebirth retconned him into being Oliver's sidekick.

I never bothered to finish. Whatever happened to Harvest?

Please tell me somebody killed that literal pile of shit.

...

Its weird. Originally I resented that generation because they pushed out the Titans I knew and loved to make new Teen Titans. But now they're all ruined and dead and terrible and the Titans I actually care about are slowly getting fixed.

Funny how it all works out in the end. Sad, but funny. Young Justice was a good book.

Raven killed him.

Lobdell killed him off at the end of his run

Only for him to come back in Pfeifer's run, take Superboy, and fuck off just as randomly

Is there even a Doom Patrol any more? I thought they all left the team/died/retired/checking into an insane asylum.

There is. JLU had team asking for Robotman's help and he was "just lemme finish this mission with Patrol, call me tomorrow, OK?"
His appearance in Legends of Tomorrow #4 was awesome.

I'm so glad that bastion of insane power sets is still around and their villains are still kicking.
Brain x Monsieur Mallah OTP

It'd really help if Doom Patrol spinned off Justice League. Oh well, there's always best-selling Young Animal.

fuck no
