I find it creepy in a good way

First Post Truth strikes again.

It's one of like five readable marvel books going right now

The only unanimously Sup Forums-approved Marvel book currently ongoing

I would say it's not really creepy but the suspense is well plotted.

Vin, Viv and Virginia are all carachterized in order to be inherently unsettling, and now even Vision is going bonkers

Pure comickino.

It's a DC book published by Marvel

Tom King does it again

Viv is arguably the most stable one.

Leave Sup Forums

>the action is kinda slow

That's because this is not an action book

You know, there are other writing styles besides action capeshit

Well there's capeshit satire and uhhh......I got nothing else.

Interesting concept and damn good execution. Art and colors are beautiful too. Overall the best Marvel series in a very long time.

The Scarlet Witch issue was GOAT

Expect it to be the last

yeah i know im not expecting crazy shit in every panel

yea the concept is really good very curious on hows its gonna end.

>moon knight

what else?

>Suspense book
>DC

a DC book would be dark and edgy, but not a good suspense/horror like this

There are exceptions like Gotham by Midnight, but they are few

Where did uncle Vic badtouch Vin?

Did Marvel ruin the scarlet witch? What do you consider canon as far as her story goes?

All non-bendis shit is canon.

i kinda wanted to see the classic avengers in it u know with a white captain america male thor but i guess its a good thing they kept up with all the recent changes in the marvel universe

Didn't Agatha already tell you? I'll miss Viv, she a CUTE

>five

you have shit tier standards

So what did he do to her.
Brainwash her or something?
She's in a trance.

tom king is only on for 12 issues right??? are they gonna keep going without him?

wiped some memories after a traumatizing experience.

Pretty much. Which is why DC signed the writer as an exclusive

Probably she's the one who murders the neighbours setting their house on fire

She was at her best during Busiek's Avengers.

yea but i dont expect the expected ever seems kinda cheap if they tell u excatly what happens so early

Which memories? All of the ones with Vis?

it's not really selling well enough to justify that

I really hate hyperbole like this, but if the book keeps up its consistency it could be this decade's Sandman equivalent.

The tension and suspense has been so consistently and tightly plotted in a book that would be light-hearted and goofy capeshit under any other writer at Marvel. It's profoundly poetic and dramatic without being melodramitic, which is so rare in superhero comics these days.

Glad it's ending though. I really hope Marvel isn't stupid enough to follow-up with a lesser writer (like giving it to Lemire or Soule).

oh well if king doesnt stay on guess it doesnt matter i thought it was doing really well

So the deal is on as soon as he finishes Vision?

yea i like how everything is slowly falling apart for vision when all he wants is to be human.. its going to be fun to see what happens when the shit hits the fan

king is only doing 12 issues of vision i dont know if someone else is going to keep writing for it besides it looks like hes gonna get fucked up good soon avenger on his ass

What should I read to get the most out of this run?

>I really hope Marvel isn't stupid enough to follow-up with a lesser writer (like giving it to Lemire or Soule).

You know Brevoort's taking a pitch from Nick Spencer to relaunch Vision #1 with sixteen variant covers.

If you don't expect that then doesn't it become unexpected?

I can see Marvel trying to relaunch it with Marvel Nower and it falling flat desu

>Scarlet witch with Wonderman

Is this canon

issues #1-8

Yes.
And all porn fanfictions with Scarlet Witch in it are too.

Mostly comics that deal with the Vision/Wanda dynamics and maybe some Ultron stories. The letters page on issue 7 has some recommendations.

...

I support this. Wouldn't want to see it drop quality because of going for too long.

Delete this you stupid fuck, HE IS WATCHING

>no Earth-XXX
DC and Marvel's multiverses are flawed

dumb frogposter

It'll probably be just ok, not terrifically bad, but noticeably worse. Like Moon Knight after Ellis.

i just read the entire series over the last 2 days, and holy shit, i'm incredibly impressed with the writing.

i did not think current marvel was capable of producing a book like this.

Omega men and Sheriff of Babylon.

Scarlet Witch & the Vision
Scarlet Witch & the Vision: something Year
Westcoast Avengers
The original Avengers run

Jesus this comic was depressing.

Not so sure mate. Moon Knight was "easy" to follow. Make him crazy and put him through weird shit or cool action scenes. I can't see how they'll follow on Vision without making it completely differente unless they find another talented creative team.

>and uhhh.

Bendis!

>random upbeat ska-based song
sorry I'm not following friendo..

Black Widow

>it could be this decade's Sandman equivalent.
Doubtful. While the quality might be up there, Sandman also sold really well and with the nonstandard demographics like female readers. Vision is more likely to skate on by as a cult classic. Unless Batman makes King really huge and his past runs become more popular. But then again, no one really talks about Snyder's non bat-books.

And i love it for that

Finish the vid, friendo.
>Ska

>Ska

>dat Vision

House of M Is pretty good

I thought american vampire was pretty popular

This has been my favour series in maybe the past 5 years. Hand to God just the most macabre atmosphere in a comic and when the volume comes out I'm buying it. I really hope it doesn't end.

So many memorable moments, and shit is just getting started

A damned good book that's actually worth the hype.

I honestly think it's Marvel's greatest work since Miller's Daredevil. It maintains a sense of horror, mystery, black comedy, drama and emotion.

I don't want the series to end, but I have faith that King will do something fantastic by the end. This might be my favorite work from King thus far.

I feel like the character of The Vision has been grossly unappreciated, but this series manages to paint him in new light, showing his conviction to keeping his family together and I believe with this series and the movies showcasing him, then I think he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

How come stuff like this never sells? Are people retarded?

>Are people retarded?
Yes.

But don't worry, i'm sure you'll enjoy Civil War 3 in 2018.

A fucking work of art. Better than shakespeare imo

People don't want good comics. They want safe mindless comics to give them their weekly dose of dopamine. Something they can then take to twitbook and post out-of-context pages for internet high fives.

That's depressingly real

Can't tell if it should be >5 or

That's Hickman's FF but Vision is equally great desu senpai

It's definitively one of the greatest comics in the last years; superb in art, drama, emotions, narrative, it's pure and simple fantastic, easily comic of the year and it will be on every "must read" thread along with Silver:Surfer requiem and Thanos Quest.

>Thanos Quest
my black panther. Ron Lim wasn't bad in Infinity Gauntlet but god some of the art in quest looked like prelim crayon sketches

With the risk of sounding facetious it's one of the best comic books I've read. I've downloaded comics for a decade now and since Rucka's Punisher and Azz's Wonder Woman run, this one comic I plan on purchasing once it's completed in volume format.
