Get that weebfaggots?

Get that weebfaggots?

So is Amelia Cook a jewish name?

"no"

I agree. Fan service is disgusting and pointless, and all it does is scare away people who don't watch anime regularly. If you want to attract new fans (especially women and minorities), you need to make anime way more inclusive. At the moment, anime features only asians and is geared towards them. If anime studios want to expand their horizons, they're going to have to open up their minds and start living in the current century.

No stagnant community thrives. I'm sure anime studios could use a bump in revenue, and to do that they need to appeal to an international market. This will include making anime more inclusive and intersectional with real issues that real women face. That means showing the true horrors of rape and catcalling, not problems with the wind blowing up your skirt at convenient times. The only way for this to happen is for anime fans to have a real honest talk with studios to become more inclusive, instead of chasing away paying customers because some small group of crazy, virginal otakus wants to keep gross and perverted panty shots.

>Every year, anime fans wonder why Japanese animation isn't being taken more seriously by critics

Who wonders or cares about how seriously "critics" take something?

>inclusive

You mean pander?

>Watching moeshit
>GASP! THEY HAVE FANSERVICE IN IT!

What the fuck do you think they designed it for?

It's no fucking surprise that every little niche is filled.

You've got the genki-girl, the tsundere, the smart but shy one... one is tall, one is short, one wears glasses, one wears her hair in twin tails, etc.

It's the shotgun method. Put out as many characters of various types to appeal to the specific turn-ons of any given individual.

>OH NO, THIS SCENE AT THE HOT SPRINGS HAS CENSORED NUDITY! BETTER BUY THE BLURAY COPY, OTAKU-SAMA!

If otaku pandering didn't make them money they wouldn't do it, idiot.

>sophisticated anime
Oh come on I'm a weeb and even I'm willing to admit anime isn't sophisticated. 95% of it is made for high school boys.

Whats wrong with fan service? Do they not like that pixels in the form of gorgeous women take attention from bitter abrasive woman? Deal with it.

I'm an anime watcher and I really, really dislike fanservice. Most of the time, it's just embarrassing and I cringe whenever some of it appears in a show I like (which doesn't happen very often because the directors know their audience.)
Anyway, fuck you, Amelia Cook. People who don't like fanservice can easily avoid it and there's no reason to antagonize those who do like it. It's not harming anyone.

make your own stupid cartoons and fill them with all the penis cutting you want

Japan will not pander to your stupid ass who doesn't pay for anything anyway

go to YouTube and watch cats

sorry for not being an asexual non-male in the year 2016, ms. outraged article writer

i'll chop off my penis and go on hormones as soon as i can

>wanting normies to take your hobby as serious business
you weebs should grow the fuck up.
Who cares if a bunch of normies like your taiwanese child enthusiast cartoons?

>japanese anime makers
>caring what the west thinks
toppest of keks

The funny part is that people actually care what critics think instead of checking it out for themselves.

Maybe they just need to label otaku pandering so those that get creeped by it can more easily avoid it.
And then the less savy pedo/creeps won't have to work so hard to find their degeneracy.

Something like a special rating like the ESRB.

Japanese animation is made to earn money.
The opinions of some American Jews with funny glasses do not matter one bit unless they are delivered to the Tokyo office carved into gold plates.

Oh please, it's not like you can't tell from the premise and some pictures alone that it's going to be a cringe-fest. You'd have to be an absolute retard not to recognize the vibes.

Sounds like a lot of effort for something that nobody will pay money for

japan being based as usual

>unless they are delivered to the Tokyo office carved into gold plates

B-but that’s anti-semitic!

Seriously.

Here are the descriptions of two anime. Try to figure out which one is about pandering:

>Kodomo no Jikan is centered around 23-year-old Daisuke Aoki, who has just landed his first teaching job as a grade school instructor at Futatsubashi Elementary School (双ツ橋 小学校 Futatsubashi Shōgakkō?). He is placed in charge of Class 3-1, where one of his students, a mischievously precocious nine-year-old girl by the name of Rin Kokonoe, develops a crush on him and goes so far as to proclaim herself Aoki's girlfriend. At first he dismisses it as harmless, but she aggressively pursues her efforts to be with him. Aoki is in shock when she makes sexual advances towards him leading him to believe that Rin comes from a troubled family. Aoki finds out that Rin's mother had died and she is living with an uncle whose flashbacks lead to violent outbursts.

>In Kaiba, memories can be stored as information via a memory chip. When individuals die, their minds live on. This digitization of mental information allows both the transfer of one's mind to someone else's body, and the theft and manipulation of other people's memories become a norm. Society has fallen apart, as authority enforces law arbitrarily and has become stagnant. In the skies are electrical storms, which cannot be passed through without losing one's memories. Above them lies the realm of the wealthy and powerful, who barter others' bodies and memories for their own enjoyment and longevity. Below the clouds is a troubled and dangerous world where good bodies are hard to come by and real money is scarce. The series begins as a boy named Kaiba as he awakens in a ruined room. He has no memories, but he has a pendant with a picture of an unknown girl inside. After being attacked, Kaiba escapes, and through his travels, regains his memories. Meanwhile, the girl from the pendant struggles with her own convictions and her past, which may be intertwined with Kaiba's origins.

>every year, anime fans wonder why Japanese animation isn't being taken more seriously by critics

couldn't even get one sentence in and already saying lies

based nippon

can't for P5 porn desu yo

anime is not a genre
god fucking damn it

Fuck off. The mods banned you from posting this on Sup Forums.

This is just sjw bullshit. If anything, I don't want anime to be taken "seriously". Popularity has ruined just about every single one of my nerdy hobbies. I do more for society than this piece of shit "nerd journalist" ever has, and I don't need some fat kike's approval when I want to watch some fucking anime titties. Leave well enough alone.

Funny that you mention Kaiba out of all anime, I have just started watching it this weekend. 10/10 so far, one of the best depictions of cyberpunk dystopia I have seen in any medium ever.

haven't seen you around before
You just on vacation or have i been blind?

everytime something is mase more inclusive it dies

see : internet , video games, porn, etc

Dude, just about everything that Masaaki Yuasa works on is 10/10 shit.

MIND GAME is one of my favourite movies of all time.

Kemonozume was a hell of a ride, as well.

>liberal shitheads are targeting anime now

Fan service and >inclusiveness
are not things that are relevant to each other here.
I want fan service (as in those "QT Moe characters" in every goddamn show) gone and replaced with scripts and characters that are intriguing and engaging to watch unfold.

I'm not that user.

Since when where you under the impression that OP wasn't a faggot?

I guarantee you there are more intriguing and engaging shows released every seasons than you will ever watch.

The entire industry has been getting shat on ever since Japan was set to host the Olympics. They're closing down stores that sell eromanga all over the place because it's "unsightly".

Keep in mind: Japan has that whole "saving face" thing going.

i dont watch anime to think

>ANIME IS FOR MATURE INDIVIDUALS SUCH AS MYSELF

kek

>concerned about the esteem of anime

It's still outside the "kids shows and crude sitcoms" ghetto western animation's been in for decades, it's fine in that regard.

That said, being beholden to a relatively small core of otaku who buy fucking everything has certain hazards.

>Nobody is allowed to enjoy anything ever
t. liberal faggot

The only thing seriously wrong with anime currently is the lack of yuri content being produced. Thank God le deep grimdark shit like NGE no longer has a place in the current year.

Anime is about cute girls doing cute things.

Just as long as the fangirls keep doing shit like this im fine

>tfw this pic sums up all but one of my fetishes

Kill me for I am a degenerate

>videogame company with an all women staff (huray! equality)
>some of them are brown (so diverse)
>b-but fanservice
Shut the fuck up.

>there are different genres of anime for different demographics

this is unacceptable, anime should be mature and tasteful for mature people such as myself

>"no"
>"nose"

Not a fan of anime and manga but you got to give them props for being the only people that draw sexy cartoon girls anymore. Everybody in the west draws Tumblr faggotry meets Filmation blandness "toons". It's become mainstreamed to the point where good contemporary non-degenerate artists go unrecognized.

>NGE
>Being either "deep" or "grimdark"

why do feminists even care about anime

it's not like otaku are attracted to real smelly rude women

Bonus points for surprise yuri?

Fuck, I actually agree with the article

Not to bring up a touchy subject, but this was the shittiest, most cowardly "yuri" possible. Fucking Dumbledore-tier "homosexuality."

They'd been hinting at it for the entire season. I do wish it was better developed, but they probably had trouble even getting that on the air.
