Ture. When will Shillary stop arming the Syrian mercenaries?

The guy firing it gets to go home afterwards and the guy its fired at gets to meet Allah. I'd say thats a fair trade.

really makes u th

is the hvm-ii better than the javelin? on battlefield it seems that way

i hate that thing, targeting you from across the map, it should not be aloud to take down air assets without so flam

Billionaire vs millionaire class war when?

Sounds like a solid investment to rid the world of poverty.

>Pol btfo
I am pretty sure Sup Forums is in favour of fair pay for soldiers.

No, why would Pol support this wasting of tax money?

It only takes 2 people to fug and make a baby, but it takes a gorillion to mine materials for, and manufacture a shoot tube.

Each office building costs...
Each commercial airliner costs...
Each data collection center costs...
Each cruise ship costs...
How about you fuck off bait

The guy firing it doesn't make that in a year because of leftist idealism which puts soldiers at the bottom on the list of people who deserve respect. The fact that the guy it's being fired at doesn't make that in a lifetime is because he's from an islamic shithole that we all pretend is no longer in the Iron Age because its apelike denizens have been taught (again, by leftists) to fire AK's and build rudimentary bombs.

Of course, that missile is supposed to be fired at multi million dollar tanks, instead of worthless sandrats*, but the leftists (again) value non-Western life so high that they put us on the chopping block in Paris, Brussels, and Nice, rather than running the risk of even ONE proper refugee not getting to live the rich life on the EU's dime. So naturally they consider $80,000 a good investment in trying to save the lives of islamic terrorists. Especially if they can then pretend that the army is too expensive, so they can downsize it again, given how it represents the biggest threat to the socialist revolution they truly desire.

*take that as you will. I consider actual rats to be more valuable than islamic terrorists

The fuck kind of shitty logic is that. So if you serve on an aircraft carrier you can get mad that you don't make several hundred million dollars per year?

>things cost, therefore this is justified

what a retard

>a piece of military equipment is expensive!
>pol somehow BTFO!

Small price to pay for national security.

Sebastian Junger is a retard.

Even a 40 year old man that's nothing but a subsitance farmer will produce more than 200k worth of labor by the time he's 60 years old, the younger the more productive they will be.

guy firing the javelin is basically upper working class. If he wanted to make more money he should have learned to provide a service that would command a higher wage in the labour market.

Sandnigger getting shot lives in sandniggerstan... what the fuck do I care?

basic infantry make that much in like 14 months

thanks for adjusting the transcript and don't forget to sage

An aircraft carrier is not a single use fire and forget weapon. Making missiles is pretty much the best business model ever. Each of them costs a gorrilion dollars and they have to keep buying them because they keep using them up.

This is equivelant to the "Soldiers should be paid what NFL quarterbacks make" meme

It's called private sector vs government

hahahahahaha

The guy firing it wouldnt care if he makes less, he shot a fucking javelin at someone legally and wont suffer any backlash

an M1 Abrams costs about 7 million. Even a cheap shit T90 costs about 4 million. Using an 80k missile to destroy a 4000k tank is a pretty fucking good use of resources.

You seem to be implying that the military shouldn't be buying these missiles. You're a faggot. Modern anti-armour weapons and MANPADS are the only things keeping infantry in the fight.

> equality isnt a scam created by elites!
Go away medpack. Youre probably one of those faggy french schweizer

No, all I said is that making them is a great business model and that they are not comparable to aircraft carriers.

This is how your government waste your taxes money at

Yeah, because we throw out our buildings, airplanes, computers, and ships after one use.

oh ok, my bad.

I agree, find something more cost effective. Bullets and cannon rounds are far cheaper than guided missiles and bombs. I hate seeing expensive ordnance used to kill a few people, what a waste of money. You can't win a war by throwing gold bars at low value targets. Use the bullets.

Furthermore, taking military forces out of the Middle East means more money available to invest in walls, razorwire and border patrols. Just build a bunch of one way borders against the ME- no boats, planes or people should be allowed to leave and enter the civilised world.

dumb dumb dumb

The only way a helicopter or infantry soldier or even light vehicle is going to take out a MBT is with a missile.

Lol I wonder how much this round actually costs. When I was in the prices on some shit in the catalog was insane. The one board for the ancient radio we use use in our humvees was like $36k or some retarded shit. It's been years but going in to that catalog really pissed me off honestly. Common sense tells you that shit isn't worth that much.

>counting money in live and death situations
libtards

30mm cannon rounds work if fired above from above. US prides itself on air superiority, why the need for an individual soldier to take one out? In fact how often do they even face that threat? RPGs work too.

Actually that's very important. Pissing away money needlessly is how you lose. See: German panzers in WW2; America in Vietnam.

Budgeting is very important in warfare.

>we should go back to fighting with sticks and rocks

War industry is one thing that should definitely be nationalised.

the cost increases are only on paper. they buy shit for the normal price, but in order to keep the black budget under wraps and secret projects financed, they write down overpayments for gear so that no one is sure how much money goes where.

>counting money when it isnt even yours in the first place

Designed by people who do make more than that

maybe you should learn something about warfare before you join a war thread.

30mm cannon rounds can only come from legacy aircraft, and to keep legacy aircraft in the sky requires 5th gen stealth aircraft for air superiority and wiping out ground based air defense. All of that costs much, much, much more than javelins, so the whole argument about cost just went up your ass.

How much do you think it costs to fly a sortie with an A10?

As for your other question... do I really need to explain why infantry are important? Really?

This machine used to precisely manufacture $30,000 components costs $5 Million dollars.

The fact that the man operating it needs 7 lifetimes to make that is outrageous

FPBP

John McCain BTFO!

Brilliant RAMZPAUL video based on Reuters reporting.

A whole new understanding of the Israeli involvement in the "Syrian Emergency Task Force" and other groups.

Plus the time John McCain met with the ISIS leader.

And funded people like this.

There are pictures.

ramzpaul.com/2014/08/james-foley-beheaded-financed-by-usa.html

youtube.com/watch?v=eTiYhfXzxOY

Why is the US over there and why were we funding these people?

Didn't the criminal Hillary supply ALL these factions with arms when she was SOS and the check cleared at the Foundation?

Safety has no price.

What is the actual argument presented here?

Why?

Nah, m8.
There is value in a thread where ideas between 40 people are exchanged.
Fuck the OP.
We got our arguments.
Who fucking cares if he hits and run?

wtf i hate jevelin rounds now

How do we know how much the guy makes? He could be making $100,000 a year.

>Pol btfo
So Sup Forums now collectively agrees with American militarism?
News to me.

Either way, if I was in charge, I'd make BTFO and other low quality bait spam an instaban.

Underrated post

this. pay terrorists more, the defend america

Or you could have the guy firing it in McDonalds while the guy that is being fired at could be in your home killing your family and raping your children.

This cruise ship cost $450-million and costs $10,000 /hr to operate

The fact the man operating it needs 113 lifetimes to make that is outrageous

Pretty much. USA could have "fixed" Afghanistan and Iraq if just actually paid them off.

In the end though, thats exactly what they did.

Each server farm costs around $500,000.

It can be taken down with a few keystrokes by people who will never make that in their lifetimes.

OP you should take your common-core pansy ass and start working instead of shitposting.

Here's what typically happens with military procurement as someone who's done actual government work.

>Gov't puts out bids for project X (whether it's a piece of equipment or just building a few buildings on a base somewhere)
>Contractors bid lower than their costs on purpose
>Gov't sees these bids, goes with the lowest or whoever they think will do it best, nepotism, whatever
>Actual gov't guys put on the case to work with these people have no idea and don't care
>Contractor: OOPS! material and labor costs 'jumped' up, we totally didn't just misquote you though
>Gov't worker: WTF this is now way overbudget than what you said it would be what the shit?
>Contractor: It's not our fault, it's just what happened to the market, all the material prices went up and all this other stuff happened!
>Gov't: Fuck you, we're cancelling this and getting someone else to do it
>Contractor: Oh really? You try to cancel our contract we'll take you to court and by the time it's all done you'll have spent more in court costs and time to get this done than just paying our BRAND NEW COSTS THAT WERE TOTALLY UNEXPECTED

This is how all gov't work goes.

If it was private companies doing this to private companies the contractor would get fucked over hard for breach of contract and nobody would ever work with them again.

Lol. an 80 000 dollar weapon that can obliterate a multi million dollar peace of military equipment.

Efficient spending if you ask me.

Javelin, a tank killer, most tanks cost more than 1 million.

Javelins are anti-tank missiles. You wouldn't fire one at a single guy because they're not designed to take out single guys. They are designed to take out heavily armoured vehicles. They're also good at taking out fortified buildings.

I've never bought a tank or fortified building before, but I'm pretty sure they cost more than $80,000.

>4000k

Why not just put 4M

Someone has to make that. Manufacturing munitions is a pretty good job creator in the U.S

OP is right, that's why rope is a better option than anything else. Multi-use execution tool.

This, i'd pay for it

>1 post by this id

Hang on a second, I imagine American Soldiers make more than 80k in their lifetimes. Who ever made this picture is brain damaged.

Wow, really made me think. I guess we could raise all infantry pay by about 1% by getting rid of all Javelins, now troops can fight tanks with small arms. Godspeed!

>its a brit has no idea what the fuck he's on about episode.
Germany lost because hitler was a dumbass and america won vietnam by keeping communism contained.
The reason North vietnam was a thing is hippies bitched about us taking the fight to them in Cambodia

Why should the amount it costs to produce a Javelin Round be the basis of his annual salary?

A javelin is almost never used against personnel. If they don't have a tow launcher they may use it to remotely detonate a suspected VIED. I've also heard of them occasionally being used to collapse cave entrances. In the near future however goatfuckers can look forward to getting introduced to Allah by one of these.

>scientists work tirelessly for thousands of man hours developing the atomic bomb
>millions of dollars are used to fund the atomic bomb
>some fag in a gay plane drops the bomb on Hiroshima and is now able to rightly demand millions of dollars for doing so

fucking marxists are retarded

Holy fucking shit that article has to be satire

Yeah for fuck sake, if you use it, you have to kill more than one guy, this is an outrage...

Hey look at the American soldiers who are not dead. I guess their lives are not worth 80k to help them get back alive, lets just air drop niggers from prisons and see what happens.

I only make 75k a year but work on servers worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and somehow there is something wrong with that?

Military hardware has always been outrageously expensive for its time. The phrase "war effort" didn't come about by chance.

But thats an Israeli soldier

They're called Javelins? That's pretty cool

javelins are actualy used to destroy armored target or entrenched positions that could've otherwise done more than 80k worth of damage
a soldier's training takes 40k so 3 dead soldiers from some hajis in a trench are more valauble than 1 javelin

Is it really $200m for a small cannon though?

Boss can afford Javelins. Boss cares about results. Boss is about whatever it takes.

Yeah i don't quite follow his logic.

No they don't. The average per year is shy of 30k.

t. Prior enlisted

>1 post by this ID

If both sides of the aisle would stop spending money on stupid military contracts, which are just basically jobs programs, we could afford to pay our soldiers more. When I was overseas we had a guy from KBR (a Haliburton subsidiary) who got paid $400k/year tax-free to just sit in a shack on our FOB, guy didn't do jack shit.

>fired at a guy who doesn't make that in his lifetime

There's a pretty damn good chance, that same guy would make sure dozens of people never even reach their retirement age.

that makes accountability even harder. that puts all of the labor directly into the hands of public unions.

the correct thing to do is the exact opposite: fully privatize the legitimate use of lethal violence in the production of security, and don't do business with providers who don't carry insurance.

Yeah but you don't really have to pay for shit if you stay on base. That and if your a loadmaster or something similar you get hazard pay out the ass and bank $4k-$5k/mo as an E3.

>A trucker drives a semi-truck that costs more than what he makes in a year

nope, it's real:

mediaite.com/online/tabloid-makes-embarrassing-error-after-misunderstanding-military-terminology/

Hahahaha

If he's a tech or machine operator, he's making anywhere between minimum wage and $16 per hour in the US... If this is in China, he's making MUCH LESS.

t. Factory manager in US/Mexico

Democrat warhawks who don't support the troops and harass them btfo

the movie war dogs really made me fucking realize this

they set a bid for $298 million

they would have been able to just hardly scrape by and STILL PROFIT MILLIONS

it was $52 million BELOW any bid from lockheed, raytheon, etc etc

just let that fucking sink in

it was the most affordable military contract the US Tax payers have ever paid for

theres no fucking way an Abrams should cost more than 2million BRAND NEW

Hitler hated economy. German contractors were paid whatever the government thought was reasonable and that was the end of discussion.

Really makes you think...

Are you a fucking idiot? It's anti-tank weapon that targets vehicles that cost millions of dollars

sorry I meant to reply to OP
