Actually, nothing should be split 50/50 in a divorce. Because no-fault divorce should not be a thing.
Unless either party breaks the wedding vows, there should not be a divorce. And the one that breaks the vows should not be getting 50%.

Divorce is so easy nowadays, couples don't even try to get over differences.

because you christians had the great idea to have a economy shared between men and women instead of having the economy separated. Just marry outside the law and do everything privately if your laws are degenerate. Have a private economic contract.

But marrying outside the law is not really an option, since you don't have the rights to many benefits, and the only reason to do so would not be really romantic.... In my mind the main problem is the judges ignoring the prenups, but you've gotta understand that if you want a wife that stays at home and doesnt work, you can't expect her to be able to survive by herself right?

They agreed to enter to it because of muh feels. And most of the people see marriage as something else than just an economic contract.

In Canada it's gotten so bad that you don't even have to be married to get fucked over by the courts. Ending a common law relationship that's been going for ~2 years can get you stuck dividing property/assets.

Are these rules meant to be the biggest deterrent to ever getting into a serious relationship? Because it seems to be working pretty well
