So how big is this damn lake?
Bigger than Loch Ness.
At first I thought it was a pretty small lake and everything was one campsite and we just saw different bits of it. I then figured it was a lake that connected to a tributary. Didn't Jason Takes Manhattan have a boat leave Crystal Lake and Jason climbed on? It's been a while.
Somehow he did, but let's all just pretend JTM doesn't exist.

>it's actually Friday the 9th
We're not waiting till October for the next thread.
why is video game shilling allowed on Sup Forums?
That's... a bad map.
>Acknowledges JTM but doesn't include an inlet or anyway for the boat to get from lake to sea
>Thinks Alice's apartment was just down the fucking street from the camp.
Not pictured: The channel that somehow connects Crystal Lake to the Atlantic seaboard.
good
I always got the impression that Sup Forums was pretty anti-Sup Forums.
At least it's not about some weebshit, still annoying.
kek
I think it's more just to show all the kills than be 100% accurate. I also doubt the hospital is just down the street from the camp.
It did have one of my favorite deaths.

But yeah didn't Jason turn into a kid at the end? Why?
I am genuinely surprised how people remember the names of the characters from any slasher film. I remember Nancy and Tommy Jarvis and that is all. I'm finally watching the Remake as well. Dude weed lmao
Wen out like a Real Nigga.
Also yes he did, because demon magic left him or something.
Choose wisely, Sup Forums
>weebshit
>posts on Chinese cartoon forum
>But yeah didn't Jason turn into a kid at the end? Why?
That was just a hallucination from the main character. She was seeing him as a ghost-kid althroughout the movie and we only see him as a kid at the end through her POV.
Jason's bloated/melty look in JGTH was supposed to be a result of the toxic waste bath.
Jason X obviously.
2 and 6. 8 is decent too, I don't like how round 3 and 5 are.
The only two names i ever remember are Nancy from ANoES and Laurie from Halloween.
Jason was no match for the toxic waste that apparently flooded the sewers of New York every night in the late 80s.
Who's Laurie? Nancy is the same one I remember. Tommy is as far as I know, the only returning character in the F13 films? Beyond namedropping the survivor of the 1st film at some point in the 2nd, unless I made that up?
Laurie Strode.
The prologue scene for part 2 actually shows Alice from part 1 being killed in her apartment. Then later you see her decomposing body in Jason's shack.
It has been a long time since I've seen these films, cheers for clarifying user.
Ah yes, I don't know why or how I forgot her. alloween is a great movie beyond dumb entertainment.
Is the Remake some 12A affair with just implied murder and nobody getting cut in half? I really hope it isn't. The NoeS remake sucked because of that.
I always figured it was a demonic thing as well because they wanted to build up the whole Freddy vs Jason thing, but apparently Jason takes Manhattan was before New Line Cinema acquired the rights so who the fuck knows.
It was just a shitty attempt at hamfisted symbolism, nothing more.
Nevermind. 5 deaths in 23 minutes aint too bad, and they're fun! Liking the 2nd movie mask as well, pillow-case is underrated.
If you like horror, don't go see this
Tell me about Jason, why does he wear the mask?
No, really. What is the significance of a hockey mask exactly? I mean both in the film series and on the production side. It doesn't seem very scary to me
Maybe they just thought it was cool, which it is.
But didn't Jason find the mask and just decided to put it on?
I was on the fence about this. What's wrong with it? Not really a horror movie? Haven't read much about it.
One of the production crew was a big hockey fan and proposed it as a way to cover his face instead of the sack. So a simple origin but it became iconic.
Yeah he got it from one of the kids he killed. Not sure why he decided to wear it though.
...
Horror is worse genre of flick, prove me wrong
The mask belonged to Shelley in part 3. Jason had been hiding out in the barn on the property unmasked until he found it. Everyone liked how it looked so it stuck around.
Same reason he wore the bag in 2, he knew he was a freak.
He grabbed it somewhere. It hides his ugly face.
And scare factor.
That's it. It's not really a horror movie even though it's billed as one. Wait for a rental desu.
Oh also, the producers noticed a lot of people were wearing hockey masks the following Halloween after part 3 came out so they knew they were onto something.
>filename
Yeah, if you grew up in the 80s chances are you dressed up as Jason at least once for Halloween. I went as a super fucking low budget Jason once (glow in the dark hockey mask, plastic Rambo knife or some shit and t-shirt/sweatpants with fake blood on the shirt drawn with red marker).
Kek, literally what I did too. Those glow in the dark hockey masks were so shitty.
But as a kid you had two choices
>Movie accurate mask that some people may appreciate
>FUCKING GLOW IN THE DARK SHIT
The choice was obvious.
Oh yeah of course. As a kid I remember seeing those really expensive screen accurate Jason Goes to Hell masks and wanted on so bad.
Hey, I downloaded a collection recently too! You get the one that had everything but FvJ and X? These threads made me wanna finally give them a shot after enjoying the first one last year.
Also doing the same with Halloween. I don't expect the sequels to be more fun than the Fridays though.
Could you guys link this collection? I've managed to find a little handfull of the films but nothing comprehensive.
Halloween 1 is still a classic and 2 is still decent but the series takes a ridiculous nose dive after that. F13 has a much better track record with 6/8 of the mainline movies being good.
I actually was never Jason, because of those cheap ass glow in the dark hockey masks. His mask is so unique from typical masks that they just always looked tacky. They never even had those little red accents.
WTF? So you're telling me that after Alice escaped all the crazy shit, she decided to move into an apartment near the fucking lake?
Thanks for warning me. I'm still going to see it, but I'll just expect for it to be a drama / thriller instead of a horror. Nothing wrong with drama / thrillers
3 is the last good Halloween movie, after 4 it doesn't go down hill it jumps off the grand canyon.
Good luck with watching them all.
Expect arthouse thriller
I've seen al Fridays but not even one Halloween so I saw the two first ones and I have questions.
How did he escape?
Did all the patients escape?
How did he learn to drive and cut telephone lines if he entered the asylum at 6?
Was he autisitc or retarded?
Why did he wrote that sandheim in the blackboard
Did he draw that child drawing himself?
like
fucking
milk
So are you guys trolls?
Because its funny how many of you are just now coming out of the wood work with your head cannon.
which cliche F13/horror girl do you prefer?
That was always amusing to me as well. That map doesn't seem accurate and she seemed to be living in a nearby town but you'd think she'd get as far away as possible.
And he still looks great.
no way the map can be accurate anyway. When people die, 9 times out of 10 it's nighttime and there's no landmarks beyond "tree" and "lake".
look at based Robert in comparison holy shit it really is true
left has a weird jaw, so right it is
Yeah, 1&2 are good, 3 is a solid if goofy movie that tried to take the series in another direction and gets completely shit on for it. I didn't find any of the Halloween movies after that particularly enjoyable.
The collection I got off of rutracker a couple of years ago had everything, including the remake and FvJ (pretty sure it had FvJ, at least).
I forgot to strip out the Russian audio tracks (there's fucking like 8 different Russian dubs for each movie) so now I have to change the language setting every damn time I watch one of them.
Its more like a drama about a group of people trying to survive and any horror or monsters dreams.
The OG jason was based on both a movie and a real serial killer (The town the dreaded sundown) and they needed to give him a iconic look since they planned on playing this series out for every dime, and the man behind the mask was born.
Halloween is pure atmosphere, asking questions or thinking about things will just make your brain hurt even more.
Damn near the entire series was writers throwing shit at a wall to see what sticks, then when they ran out of fresh shit they scraped the shit off the walls and tried it again but it was too old and dried up to stick again.
It is a series that never knew what it wanted to be, and kept forgetting what it was.
>Argue genre taste with an asshole who wont change his opinion.
There any lore reason why the masks change slightly between films, like the red triangles being blue all of a sudden?
Eww. Like The Gift? Also starring Joel Edgerton?
from glancing at the thumbnail I thought some fag from Sup Forums had come over and made another bloodborne thread
Blue mask is owned by a copycat killer.
Imagine being Michael Myers in that house and having to be all like "damn, Laurie Strode, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your tight body and horrific androgynous monster face. I would totally chop you up, both my character and my kitchen knife." when all he really wants to do is slash another paramedic on the side of the road. Like seriously imagine having to be Michael Myers and not only sit in that floor while Laurie Strode screams like a fucking retard in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her grin of terror and cut marks, and just sit there, take after take, hour after hour, while she perfected that shriek. Not only having to tolerate her monstrous fucking visage but her haughty attitude as everyone on the Wallace residence tells her she's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, LAURIE STRODE SCREAMS LIKE *THAT*?? because they're not the ones who have to sit there and watch her mannish fucking gremlin face contort into types of grimaces you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been murdering nothing but a healthy diet of teenage sisters and therapists and later alleged nurses for your ENTIRE LIFE coming straight out of the suburbs in Haddonfield. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her disgruntled forehead as she frowns in your general direction, coweringly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to get paid to sit there and revel in her "statuesque (for that is what she calls herself)" beauty, the beauty she never worked a day in her life for. And then Dr. Loomis screams something about the Boogeyman, and you know you could kill every single person in this room before Dr. Loomis could put you down, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Michael Myers. You're not going to lose your chance to return a year later over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.
wait what the fuck

>How did he escape?
>Did all the patients escape?
>How did he learn to drive and cut telephone lines if he entered the asylum at 6?
Forget that shit, senpai. It doesn't really matter. Rob Zombie's Halloween is proof that sometimes mysteries are better than answers.
>Was he autisitc or retarded?
kek
>Why did he wrote that sandheim in the blackboard
>Did he draw that child drawing himself?
Is that shit in II? I don't remember any of that being in the original film.
Imagine being Robert.
Best Girl
The blackboard thing is from II, pretty sure. Only saw that movie once.
Tina's got tits as big as her head and the actress' last name is Voorhees, so she's best girl.
This, the original Halloween is a masterpiece but most of the sequels are extremely messy. II should've been the end of Michael's character.
He gets new masks in 3, 8, and possibly 6. Tommy gives Jason a mask in 6 but it's not known if it's the real mask or a copy since Tommy is an expert mask maker.
5 with the blue mask was a copy cat.
She also aged like milk btw
You're both wrong. Vera is best girl and should have been the final girl in part 3.
why would anyone live near Crystal Lake when it's like the killing spree capital of the world?
>Turned down best girl Shelley
Nah, Vera can fuck off.
Where is the river connecting it to Manhattan?
Jason carried the boat.
It only appears on Friday 13th of course. I sussed it guys!
She was warming up to Shelley but then he acted like a dumbass. In a better movie they both would have survived and teamed up to take Jason down.
>Tommy is an expert mask maker.
what a resume
See I know people get all butt blasted over the copycat but I thought it was a neat twist considering in the next movie he is the iconic rage zombie most people all know him as.
I want to see Freddy vs Jason vs Ash
Also what is up with people purposly fucking up the Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma, is this some lame meme or some kind of basic ass bait?
If I was him my entire resume would be "Killed Jason fucking Vorhees" and you could get any job you wanted.
Bitch didn't even bite it to the real Jason, discarded.
Because it was never Ki Ma, prove to me how it is objectively and not just some guy from the movie said so 20 years later.
