who's this spunk punk

>shelf thread

Get the fuck out.

Not that excited for any of that outside Alpha-Flight. Though Criterion is releasing a Fantastic Planet blu-ray in a week or two.

I've been reposting my shit for weeks and anyone that posts in these threads know its more of a discussion thread

You missed one

> Captain Marvel by Jim Starlin: The Complete Collection
CAPTAIN MARVEL (1968) 25-34; IRON MAN (1968) 55; MARVEL FEATURE (1971) 12; MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL (1982) 1; MATERIAL FROM DAREDEVIL (1964) 105 AND LIFE OF CAPTAIN MARVEL (1985) 1-5

Lol, no when someone post a pic of their shelf or RPs then there's discussion, but whenever someone just list out what they got their lucky to get one reply.

>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness

YES

These came in today.
It's missing Morrison's Action Comics 3 because the fagolas split my order for whatever reason.
And then I've got some She-Hulk on the way.

>Morrison Millar Flash spine dark at the top and light at the bottom
>Johns Flash spine light at the top and dark at the bottom

you had one job, DC

>Spider-Man by Stern
A lot of us in this thread have gotten this recently

Goddamn it, you're right.
I thought something looked off (it's not in the shelf yet).

I hear the Roget Stern Spider-Man stuff is really great.

Only one really got me hype is that Byrne Alpha Flight.

It's been on my backlog for quite some time + isn't it OoP?

I think Marvel liquidated it and sold it for cheap to retailers

I swear they do shit like this just to piss us off

MonkDVDcollection.jpeg

Ah, I see.

I've read some of his run in Finnish and apart from the rubbish translation, it was great.
But as for the omni, I'm only seven issues in and holy shit, it's so much fun.
Can't wait for the real meat of it.

Why is Marvel suddenly making omni's of everything Byrne did?

You wouldn't?

...

I've personally not gotten anything Sup Forums-related since I won that lot of DC hardcovers and Deluxe Editions on eBay for $10, but that included Return Of Bruce Wayne: Deluxe Edition, Superman: The Black Ring v1-2, New Teen Titans: Games (why is this one such a wonky size?), and the Batman: Dective No. 27 trade thrown in as a bonus.

The missus did get this awesome retro Black Canary statue from Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line in the mail today though.

I'm so on the fence about Lemire's Green Arrow.
Could it be the art?

Anyway, I still need to get the Gotham Central and Superior Foes omnis. New Frontier, too, as it's been out of stock forever where I get my comics.
I might get the Kingdom Come deluxe and give the trade to a friend, just like I did with Watchmen.

How is Planetary?

I haven't been collecting comics for that long, but here's what I have so far. Some of the stuff, like Nyx, Hack/Slash and the Strain I haven't actually read yet, but they were only 1$ each so I picked them up.

I just read his Avengers and really enjoyed it. I need to pick this one up.
Is there a place that does trades? I'd gladly unload my JSA omis for something/anything else.

How is the flash by Grant Morrison?

>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness
What's in this? WHAT'S IN THIS?!

Forgive my degeneracy

About fucking time. This is an instant buy for me.

haven't read it yet, I'm working my way through Gotham Central. The Planetary Omnibus seems to have a good build it's sewn and glued unlike Gotham Central Omnibus which is only glued (I don't know what DC was thinking).

Amazon sent me The Goon v3 (Library Edition) two days early.

I know what I'm doing tonight.
From here on in, I'm reading blind.

It was a comic that came with an action figure. It's fantastic. It's by Howard Mackie and JRJR

I know that much. Have 2 copies of the original and Dark Design (took me years to find a copy. Was not worth it). I just want to know what this book contains. If it's just these 2 books or more.

JR Jr became a name for me back then with this book.

I never got no toy with it, though.

I'm looking for suggestions on comics set in the 60's something with the style of mad men but in the noir detective, crime or horror genre. I recently ordered Lady Killer (still hasn't arrive though), because I was told it had that kind of vibe. I already have Fatale.

I doubt it's anything more than HoD I don't know why user called it a big TPB.

Polar could work. Although I think it's set more in the 80s-90s. It still has that noir vibe to it, although it's not that 'detective'.

It does feel very Samurai Jack like, if you're into that sort of thing.

>112 pages
Probably just the 2 graphic novels then. Get to keep my money a bit longer.

>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness - both one-shots
Verily

It's been a while since I read it, but about what you'd think; a wild ride, though not as trippy as some of his other works.
Wally outruns the concept of death and with a little help, instantenous transmission.

Most recent purchase is Animal Man, I've got Archie vs Predator on loan.

What yall think is my worst comic on here?
For me personally its the recolored Killing Joke

How did I do?
$175 for used VG lot.

I actually like that.
Doesn't blend in with the Johns ones.

You're a twisted man, but I respect your right to an opinion.

You know you did great stop gloating.

Amazon just sent me an email saying they are searching for the supergirl silver age omni I pre-ordered for cheap

Wtf

Mine shipped yesterday

That cheap pre-order must have been popular

Why would you want them to have the same spine if they're not part of the same run?

I was mostly kidding.
But why it isn't entirely different rather than just flipped, that's what I don't get.

Was Morrison Reverse-Johns all along!?

p10 bump

It's been quite a while since I last posted here, though my shelf has only had two additions. So might as well bump with it.

1/4

The nameless spine is Stand Still, Stay Silent HC that I backed on indiegogo.

2/4

Next purchase is probably either metabarons 7&8 or more Moebius.

3/4

And my much neglected manga shelf. I blame Dark Horse for not releasing more Drifters.

4/4

Pick up some more vagabond boi

I was planning to but then the online retailer that I used bumped the price from 12€ to like 20-25€ each.

Also student money is tight, probably going to get some during the summer after Metabarons and Moebius.

Like the other user said, pursue Vagabond. It's amazing and I'm planning to get these books when I'll get more spaces and when I'll be completed a few series.
Finish Pluto and Vinland Saga, these books are so good. Masterpieces in their own field.

I couldn't get into Vinland Saga, great art though. I should check out his older manga Planets

patrician shelf

Anyone pick up the Master of Kung Fu omni?

How is the quality? Can anyone post any pics?

This is everything I own.

Glad to see The Phantom getting some love.

My Mignolaverse shelf is coming along nicely.

I got Frankenstein Underground, Sledgehammer 44, BPRD Being Human, and Hellboy in Mexico on the way.

You got some dope omni's

>Batman The Long Halloween

I just picked that up yesterday, is that a good place to start if I want to get into The Bats?

Not a whole lot of additions since I took the pic.

Open question; How is Elephantmen?

>Byrne Alpha Flight
>Deadpool: Beginnings Omnibus
>Starlin Captain Marvel
wew lad

not trying to tell you how to party, but you'll damage those leaving them like that.

I want to be your friend.

Good shit mein nigga; jealous of that Conan. Definitely finish up metabarons.
>Zot in between the Ito books
OCD aside, Great stuff. How's that richard Corben Creepy collection?

who is this and does she suck toes?

>not trying to tell you how to party, but you'll damage those leaving them like that.

I put them there to take the picture, because where I actually store my books is a closet and is really uncomfortable and dark to take a good picture. I may keep a couple out while reading them but that's it really.

Batgirl

I want to order The Sandman online but I'm scared of Amazon and online shopping.

My experiences with Amazon have mostly been highly positive. I don't use it for comics all that much, but yeah, books in general have arrived in good shape.

Or are you worried about something else?
There's also InStockTrades if you're American.

I work at an Amazon warehouse.
youtube.com/watch?v=FkztfSwPwpU
is approximately how we treat you package.
That anyone is satisfied baffles me.

I don't understand.
I keep hearing stuff like that, but the only problem I've ever had was when UPS somehow got my address wrong.

Every single book I've ordered through Amazon has arrived in their stated condition, so I don't see why I should be displeased. That said, I'd obviously use IST if it was cost-effective, but living in Finland, my options are quite limited.

If they fuck it up you can just request a return. It's just tedious.

So you're the fucker that dented my bottle of ink!

But I've gotten many comics from amazon. Done well so far. We'll see what happens come Christmas.

My Infinity Gauntlet Omni arrived with a huge dent in the corner. I buy mostly omnis so I haven't ordered from them since.
IST is the hook up. It takes them fucking firever to get shit out of their warehouse though. I have two orders from last week, one is about to ship the other hasn't progressed at all.

The orders: I sent a friend the second Hellboy HC and the "To wake Mangog" Thor Epic Collection and ordered the first two HB HCs for myself too.

Just ordered all three of the Miller&Janson Daredevil collections and vol 2 of Harrow County

Copra Round 3 is in the mail already

Sorry to hear that.
The Annihilation omni was the first thing I ever got through Amazon and, fortunately, it came in in perfect condition.

IST sadly wouldn't be any cheaper for me than Adlibris when you account for the shipping. Then again, Adlibris has a pretty solid selection of comics and no postage.

Gonna snatch up that Alpha Fligjht Omni before it goes for a billion dollars

Hey the omnibus is going to be cheaper than buying a copy of Alpha Flight classic vol 1. That shit is out of print and going for the $80-115 range

Exactly

I'm jelly, just got the plague of frogs collection myself. Why did you get the hellboy trades instead of waiting for the library editions?

Yes. It's a decent book on his own and a good introduction to new readers. TLH does better was Hush did later.

Is a great place to start if you want to hit the ground running it's still early on Batman Career and you get a look at his rogues.
I guess this is an obvious recommendation but get yourself Batman: Year One a really great origin story.

NINETY
FIVE
DORRAR

It's a good standing alone story

I need to get some new shelves. There's no way to keep everything organized properly with what I've got.
>Corben
The Creepy collection is fine. It's not remastered by any stretch, which is a plus and a minus, as some pages look like they're from a c2c scan. Otherwise, if you're a Corben fan, there's a lot to enjoy. I'd recommend it since there's not a currently in-print collection of any of his Heavy Metal material.

Picked up 2 sisters today

>as some pages look like they're from a c2c scan

A few stories were scanned from original art that Corben still owns. Otherwise they did the best they could, Warren was kind of a cheap publisher.

Ehhhh.

My sister ordered a paperback book for me last Christmas, and it came bent.

I mean, the thing's not ruined, but I'd be careful ordering anything from Amazon that you aren't 100% sure will be packaged snugly and handled with a little bit of care.

It's all volume 2 and the run builds upon itself, when you put Waid, Morrison/Millar, Waid, Johns next to each other they should all match in the end

faggot

Was in the other not as sucessful shelf thread, lol.... excited to pick up this tomorrow

amazon.com/52-Book-1-Grant-Morrison/dp/1401263259/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465967181&sr=8-1&keywords=52 geoff johns

No seriously, who is she?
Who drew her?
Let me know and I show you my drawing of this pic.

who is the artist that drew her?

....what the fuck is wrong with you?

It really bugs me that the Batman: No Man's Land volumes differ in spine title boldness/thickness.
