Hollywood is a hive of stagnation and unoriginally that can be outscored by the most rudimentary of even video games. They just make John Williams do everything. I recently watched Evangelion, thinking that I'd decide it was overrated, but nope. It was absolutely amazing, and End of Evangelion was as perfect a finale as they could have made. BRAVO ANNO.

It provides a marginally more complete closure to the characters, but it's just so much less cinematic than EoE that I can't forgive it. Asuka's fight with the Eva Series - along with the actual Third Impact - are incredibly beautiful and just flawlessly executed.
